A new song from metal legends: VENOM. Pedal to the Metal; from the 2011 album "Fallen Angels", nice guitars and bass in this one, cronos voice is badass, enjoy.

This band started it all for me, and as it seems.....they still know how to do what they already did back then. Hail Venom!
Aaaaand just ordered the album.....can't wait for it to arrive!

Opinions and tastes...no point discussing it. I don't care what they calle the band, or who made it...it sounds like old Venom to me and that's good enough for me.

They're still doing it, Venom, Motorhead and Metallica started it for me a little over a year ago.

Why can't some people accept when an older metal band like Venom modernize their sound? I think it has a lot to do with the technology in the studio now than say an album of Venom's from 1985,it's more refined & cleaned up now which makes for a better sounding album in some people's ears & some people still like that retro 4-track sound or that tin-can sound like Slayer's "hell awaits" album.
This is awesome, extremely thrashy! I love it! :D

I prefer the older overdrivey reverb guitar tone, and the vocals sound overproduced...or something, I dunno. Badass song nonetheless.

Man, as much as I love Venom, I really hate to say it - but after Hell - this whole album just seems so... underwhelming compared to what I'm used to from Venom.
Looking forward to Onslaughts new release in September, though.

this isnt venom..its 'cronos and friends' ..venom is cronos ,mantas, and abbadon..(which will never happen again)..not to mention 'antton' ..who is a far better drummer than any other drummer in venom..then and now..

Dreadful album. For meat heads. Mind you I never thought much of Venom but I guess had I got into them at the time they came out it might be a different story.
Jim bob I got into them years ago, or at least thought I was. However, I found Slayer a far more enjoyable band. I have been (spoiled) going through youtube and finding songs I never knew existed (i.e. Faerie Tales) from the decades which I have enjoyed, but overall, they aren't the greatest. But if there is anything to note, it is that they came out in 1979 and coined the term black metal (even if they are thrash) which precedes all the really crappy 'black metal' bands so they are the originators of black metal (again, even if they are more thrash).

Even if the band themselves say they want nothing to do with Black metal. Yes they have been coined that by others in the scene though I vote Bathory for releasing the first official legit black metal album.
