I'm very proud of the Jedi robes I've made, it's very much inspired by an Old republic look, I used a brown long sleeve undershirt, a sand colored bathrobe that I cut the sleeves off for the robes, for the tabard I used a pair of khaki jeans, a gray scarf for the belt and a sleeveless black robe for the cloak, I also took the side ventilators off of a respiratory mask and painted it black and gold.
Very creative!
I am hoping to learn how to make my Jedi costume.
Yay! Happy to see this!
Awesome work👍👍. I have a suggestion for video. It'll be amazing if u do a video on how to sew a Pirate costume.
NICE!! Good luck with the fundraiser!!
Thanks!
Awesome! Thank you for the tips
This is wonderful. 💕👏🏾
If your husband ever becomes a monk, he has the perfect wardrobe. Haha. I wonder if any religious orders have incorporated he snaps because that’s a genius idea! 💡
Wow amazing we do the same fundraising our selves. How did you make the wrap please, did you use a pattern ?
Super cool!
I made a Rey costume for my daughter. I’ll tag on instagram.
Thanks! This was great. Did you use a specific pattern for the tabards and obi (I can't remember if you said or not)?
What fabric did you use?
Your husband seemed to be having fun showing off his costume.
Do you have any recommendations for obi size for someone with an abnormally short torso? I'm 5'5" and have normal length legs but my torso is short and my shoulders are somewhat narrow. I'm overweight & most of the weight I gained went on to my gut so that is another problem with finding things in my size. For loose-fitting things with stretchy fabric I can wear 1XL but for tight and less stretch I need 2XL at least. I've had to go to 3XL for things that are particularly tight with no stretch. I'm not sure if that helps any. LOL.
I know some of the cosplay rules require tabi to be a minimum width, but I'm pretty sure it's too wide for my shoulders.
Just measurements I took of my husband, no pattern. The fabric is a linen blend.
@@Whitney_Sews Thanks!
What fabric is this?
A linen blend.

ok thank you ☺️
I'm about the same size as your husband. How much material was used for the tabards and obi?
For just the tabards and obi in the size I made takes about 2.5 yards. Prewash in case the fabric shrinks and cut the tabards (the ones shown in video are 80 inches long) then the obi can be cut from the excess left along the side. If you want to make the dickey in the same material you will need about another yard of fabric. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thank you so much, that info more than helps. Plus thank you for these two videos. As a visual learner they really explained alot! Keep up the great work.
@@LeonClayton Happy to help!
Husband? Don't mean to offend you but I thought you were a 17 year old good sewer! LOL.
Hehe, nope. I'm 33, married, and have 2 kids.
Wow! You got good brains and good genes!!
