The supplied parts only work with a 1 3/4 door which is what we are installing into. But because of the glass there is a 1/4” shim kit which basically acts like making the door thicker. These new posts and lift finger adapters will work up to a 2 1/4” door from what I’ve heard. This may be rare or more common who knows 🤷♂️ just trying to keep the kids in school safe.
So there’s only the 5th and 6th screw for the center case trim that really good it up. When you have a lite with a GBK then those screws are really too short to grab anything so I replace with a longer screw. I set a magnet in in the metal lite kit trim cause it just helps support everything but it’s really not Necessary. The 5th and 6th hole screws do what we want. Hold the bar in the right spot when we pull the trim 😎
