Jets fans y’all got a hellva player in Hassan for sure!!!! He just wants to be paid fairly, as he’s taken team friendly deals constantly in his career, now as he’s pushing 30 he wants to cash in, not mad at him what so ever for that he’s earned it.

Huff while an extremely talented pass rusher on obvious passing plays, he is a liability vs the run. Reddick is an all pro. One of the top 5 DE’s in the league.

@@wayneredd2977 Reddick is the same kind of player. The Eagles had tons of issues against the run with him on the field almost every down. Of course it's a team sport and his teammates matter, but he's known as a pass rusher, not a run stopper.

If you don't extend him, he will leave as a free agent. Amusingly enough, if he leaves as a free agent, you get a third round compensatory pick from whichever team picks him up. It's very likely that the Jets were aware of the fact when they agreed to give away a third round pick that him walking away after one year would get them a third round pick back

I’m not ready to freak out, but I don’t understand them making this move unless they intended to sign him long-term contract and think he’s that much better than Huff. I would’ve tried to keep Huff if it were me so if they thought they were getting a rental with Reddick I don’t know where their heads were at.
If you don't pay him he leaves as a free agent next year and... You get a compensatory pick.... A third round pick. Aka, if you DON'T pay him then he is a 1 year lease and you get the 3rd round pick back that you traded away (from some other team)

Reddick is a veteran. He doesnt need OTAs as long as he's keeping in shape. Hopefully they can work on some guarantees and incentives. If he's not at start of camp it'll start to be concerning.
I'm done with JD this is ridiculous. We only justified letting Huff walk b/c we thought McDonald could step up and we were better off w/ the cap space and an extra comp pick- now we lost the pick and have to pay more for an older version?- wtf was he thinking letting Huff walk in the first place if he thought we were gonna need help on the edge?
We drafted pass rushers in the 1st round in 23 and 22. They eventually have to get paid, so why pay this dude. JD has every right to hold his ground.

This is the Jets' fault.. No player in their right mind is going to attend a camp without a guaranteed contract. What happens if he has a serious injury that might jeopardise his career?. They should've handled this prior to training camp

I really really hope the Jets pick up Jakeem the Dream Grant...hes been my favorite player besides aaron since he was in college. I was also watching the game when grant pulled off he crazy punt return. after the game Aaron said Jakeem is a very special player with the ball in his hands... he has had injuries..but before them i can promise you he was faster than Hill... Grant tried a few times to race Hill when hill was racing people on his youtube channel...but for some reason it just never got done hmmmm
