Definitely strange. Even if there was residual energy in the passive crossover, it should dissipate instantly. The only other thing I could imagine is if there was an aerial antenna that was catching a random radio station, and there was some weird ground loop in your home's power supply. I suppose it's plausible the speaker wire was picking up it's field and traveling into the coils, creating a magnetic field interference and resonating the paper cones. I would think the speaker wire would need to be really close to the power source though. That's a mouthful... But nonetheless that's really weird and I can't say I've ever had it happen. My career has been primarily in auto repair and industrial machinery. I've seen stray power and short to ground do all sorts of weird stuff. From relay coils closing contacts, to incandescent bulbs glowing. With electricity almost anything is possible.... ghostly tale.
