      For 20 REPS 😮 MAN. Most I ever hit was 315 for 3 reps. Don’t know what my one rep max would be. I didn’t get 345 without a little help

      He was the perfect combination of physique, facial looks and ‘foreign’ charm.
      That is why even today, prints of Arnold outsell modern bodybuilders, such as CBum (no hate intended).
      It will be very difficult, to get the exact right circumstances for another bodybuilding celebrity with impact like Arnold. Especially now that every actor is juiced to the gills.

      Arnold is correct but his confusion way is just poorly explained. I do change my training days and rotate exercises weekly. It is called Concurrent periodization. Strength athletes use it in conjugate periodization us an example. Once the body gets use to your devotion exercises it is time to switch the way you perform your exercises.

      @kattihatt Arnold changes it up. Most amateur bodybuilders. I know, change it up every few weeks. I found that what works for me just completely changing out my routine and shocking the muscles.

      But almost useless considering he’s doing TWENTY reps. At most, you should be doing 12, at MOST. To gain muscle, you need enough weight to get to failure by around 10 reps, not 20. He should be upping the weight instead of ego lifting.

      ​@carlfrye1566 actually not true, many studies have been done over several decades where they had guys on gear not work out at all, just take juice. Then they had group of nattys that trained the whole time. The dudes on gear grew significantly more muscle while not training at all vs the natty guys who trained the entire time.

    Plateaus are no joke. Definitely the biggest hit in my motivation when working out. It sucks so much to make an effort to hit the gym and have a restrictive diet and notice practically no difference on the scale after months. First few weeks worked wonders but then the progress just...halted. Hopefully the advice Arnold gave here works.

    Makes sense. That’s me right now. Been lifting for a few months and recently hit a point where Im not getting sore, at all..even after lifting for 2 hours and running for 20 mins on incline

      Soreness isn't a great indicator of workout success, doesn't mean a good workout and not having it doesn't mean a bad workout.
      Progressing is the only important sign, especially with low reps you might never feel DOMS again after the first week, but if bar and body weight is going up its all good.

      @@junkiedropouts3186 thanks! I appreciate the advice. I’ve gone up about 15% weight on all the machines I use. Also, I’m a 45 year old woman and had a oopherectomy last year, so I lost most of my testosterone. I’m starting to see more gains 👍🏼

    Arnold's right, we wasn't what I'd call bodybuilders but a friend and i liked doing weight's, one day he said he couldn't " get going " as such, i said do something different, always done bench then lat pull downs, same old routine, i said do leg press then shoulder press instead then do something like triceps pushdown & it worked
