Guys, i own multiple finnish iffues of this magazine! in the early 90s, before depression hit, Toxic Avenger comic book was being published in finland. Was excited to see in later issues that Steve Gerber wrote few of the stories as well!
The first few Toxic Crusaders comics had some cool Sam Kieth covers. I believe Marie Severin did some of the interior art as well. Might be worth looking up.
I love that "Mega Man 3. Anything else you need to know?" ad. Like the ad is telling you it's another Mega Man game on the NES, you should know what to expect. I hope they kept that campaign up over the next 3 games.
I thought some of those lines look familiar then I remembered that Ramos inked Transmetropolitan. Speaking of which, you guys ever going to cover that one?
Troma is a blast. If yall haven't track down Return to Nukem High parts 1 and 2. Speaking of Kevin Eastman in softcore scenes he is in a few of the Andy Sidarius Bullet,Bombs and Babes films. Which the latter ones had Julie Strain.
Still, on the whole, I’d say The Toxic Avenger is nonetheless a better than average tie-in comic, especially for Marvel in the early ‘90s (anybody remember or know their series based on G.I. Joe, Transformers, Pirates of Dark Water, Bill & Ted, Captain Planet, Mighty Mouse, RoboCop, Zorro, Alf, Camp Candy, Double Dragon, NFL SuperPro, Barbie, Heathcliff, Count Duckula, James Bond Jr., Defenders of Dynatron City, and even WCW by-god ‘rasslin?) While it doesn’t perfectly mirror the attitude or spirit of the Troma films from which it’s based, the writers did a pretty good job translating the material into PG-reading, and I thought the artwork was just plain snazzy. I wouldn’t call this a “great” series by any stretch, but it’s certainly better than it had any right to be. Granted, I haven’t checked out its spiritual successor in the Toxic Crusaders follow-up, but if that one is at least half as decent as The Toxic Avenger … well, actually, that’s pretty much what I would expect it to be, I suppose. I like the Marvel Comics comic book version of The Toxic Avenger, based on the Troma Entertainment of the same name from 1984. I would love a get a Toxic Avenger comic book one day.

Best line of the comic, "Are we outside yet?"
So funny, so cruel.

I may have to revise my opinion of 90's comics. Thanks for making me re-think.
WTF!! When did this happen!! arrrgh!!!
I was just at a comic con last week looking for this issue. Weird
this is nuts, just the other day a guy at work was asking me about toxic avenger comics and I had to admit I'd never seen any, until now
LOVE!!!
That transformation panel reminds me of when Steranko drew the Hulk transformation in Captain America
Now Marvel is mostly toxic and not much avenger lol
I actually had two copies of this as a kid. Now, I don't have either
😭
i want that custom silver surfer jetski. i wonder if pawn stars has it yet
Mayerik's work on Living Mummy is pretty spectacular. Highly recommended.
Did you guys collect these when you were going to Nukem High?
I would love to see ED or Jim do a Toxic Avenger mini series comic
especially with a reboot being made
A character that influenced me more than I even realized. This comic looks great!
Love the Troma stuff... let's see an episode with Poultrygeist: Return of the Chicken Dead!
That Mega Man 3 ad... wow, I was 12 when that was new.
gracias chicos, muy entretenido como siempre
Would be cool if u sometime tackle the art of Derek Yaniger for Tóxic Crusaders
I swear you guys are raiding my comics drawer. Like Seriously.
Clint Cunningham = Melvin Junko
