i guess im randomly asking but does any of you know a way to get back into an instagram account?? I stupidly lost the login password. I would love any help you can offer me.
I had the incredible honor of touring Highclere Castle back in 2018. Being a Downton Abbey fan, I was floating above the floor when walking through each room. Loved the wonderful people in the gift shop...very friendly.
Please continue this and forget Ladies Of London-- much more authentic and endearing. Glad you're truly interested in the history of your home, the lives that came before and helping the house go on as a home. Good on you!! 👏👏👏👏
I watched this on the Smithsonian channel. It was just wonderful. Julie you were so excited just like the rest of us are to see this magnificent castle. Amazing place!
I know how you felt walking in and seeing the staircase. I had the chance to do a full tour of the house just over two years ago and got to come down the stairs twice 😊😊
Ah, Julie, I'm watching this in February of 2022, and saw that you had your Christmas Fair at Mapperton this last Christmas. It seemed a great success. Thank you for introducing us to Highclere, it's a magnificent home.
I loved that show, I knew the footage of the outside was of a real place and some scenes, I didn't know it was actually fully filmed inside a real place. This was amazing to see ❤
Prefer living in Mapperton to Highclere. Mapperton has that Mediterranean warm feel with the old stones and beautiful garden surrounded by gorgeous country scenery. Highclere is imposing but looked cold and lonely.
Christmas is always been my favorite time of year and I was known as the Christmas house when I had my large home. This would be a dream come true for me.
What fun! I would love to meet Fiona. From all of her videos and reading about her, she has done amazing things for Highclere, and seems like a delightful woman. I also discovered by accident a few years ago that her husband is my 12th cousin 3 times removed. We are connected through his great grandfather, Alfred de Rothschild.
Julie, watching your Christmas video now, but have to tell you, in New England, & being of Scottish, Irish & English descent...We've always had mince pies for all our life, and have decorated our homes inside with greens, swags and all the same as your showing from Highclere castle. Maybe the mid west has different customs than New England!
Fabulous! Absolutely fabulous! The architecture and the light; so very beautiful without leaving the warmth of home. Thank you. I have not seen Downton Abbey so this was a real treat.❤❤❤😊
Julie - This is ❤ for your videos on RUclips! It is fascinating watching all you do for your English 👪 family. I too, loved watching DA and dream to go to Highclear once we can travel again. Much love from Peoria, IL - Eric
I think you should have Downtown Abby Christmas ornaments hanging on it and sell them. People can say they purchased from the christmas tree their. And as they sale, hang another. Have a special seal on them and name of castle
I stumbled across your channel yesterday, Julie. I have to say, it’s quite interesting. Looking forward to the final outcome of your little home in Italy too. Lastly, where can I find the cost to stay a night or two in either of your locations when the borders open up again? ❤️🇦🇺🌸
Thank you for the treat! The first time I saw Highclere Castle was in the wonderful Jeeves & Wooster series. Not too crazy about Downton Abbey --- the location and period clothes made it worth watching from time to time.
The Christmas at Mapperton special aired on Smithsonian Channel yesterday (Monday 14th December). You can watch it again through various catchup services, such as Apple TV or Amazon Prime, or catch a repeat on Smithsonian Channel.
In the comic tv series Jeeves and Wooster, (Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie), Highclere is featured quite often. Wooster tends to run up and down the stairs. Mostly hiding from his lady friends who are all determined to marry him.... 😉😁😄🤪
Silly question and please don't laugh but.I only just started to watch not long ago but does Julie have to curtsy when she meets anyone higher in the aristocracy? Or is that reserved just for say like the queens family?

Curtsy is only politely requested when meeting a senior member of the royal family from a commonwealth country. You won't have your head chopped off if you don't do it. Here Julie is meeting a member of the aristocrary which she herself is a member of. At the moment though Fiona outranks here by being a countess which Julie will be when her mother in law dies
I’m adoring this program. Julie’s enthusiasm, warmth and sincerity add even more to the thrill of exploring these gorgeous landmarks.

"what's a weekend?" my favourite phrase after i retired.
😄 - Recently 66 though 'retired' for 10 years previous. And I still haven't worked out how Monday & Tuesday are part of the never ending weekend!!

I love that despite the beauty and grandeur of your own home, you were as excited as any Downton fan would be.
Please continue this and forget Ladies Of London-- much more authentic and endearing. Glad you're truly interested in the history of your home, the lives that came before and helping the house go on as a home. Good on you!! 👏👏👏👏
Why did she even think about doing that show? I think she left season 1 but Ladies of London will never happen again.
Love this program-Viscountess Julie is terrific! This episode was truly great.
Thank you so much! Can't wait to start filming Season 2!
"As long as they don't knock my gin over." Most upper-class line ever.
Ugh how did I miss this before. It would be strange to be there "in a movie set". What a beautiful home though....and the doggies!
I love how the dogs are part of this video. She truly loves her doggies.
I can’t wait to visit England🇺🇸
Dogs will be dogs no matter how highbrow they are 😁 💕💯
I watched this on the Smithsonian channel. It was just wonderful. Julie you were so excited just like the rest of us are to see this magnificent castle. Amazing place!
Wowzers! If there was ever a house I'd like to get lost in 🌼
So beautiful. Love the two dogs wrestling around😄
Downton Abbey is on my bucket list! Adding Mapperton to the list!
I know how you felt walking in and seeing the staircase. I had the chance to do a full tour of the house just over two years ago and got to come down the stairs twice 😊😊

I've seen all the Downton Abbey seasons 4x. I just rewatch it over and over. It would be an absolute dream to visit Highclere Castle.
The countess walking down the steps with labs reminded me so much of Robert coming in with his
It's my one of my dreams to visit High Clere Castle (inside & out)!!
I loved this castle when Mary Barry visited and cooked! Absolutely exquisite!
Christmas at Downton! What could be better? ❤
“I’m half expecting Carson to come out”. Me too! 😂
I loved that show, I knew the footage of the outside was of a real place and some scenes, I didn't know it was actually fully filmed inside a real place. This was amazing to see ❤

Where can I see the entire episode?
As long as they don’t knock over the tree or my gin!😂
Is there a whole episode on this??

Desperately should have flowers and bushes galore. Takes the coldness look away
