I'm about to upgrade my C340-14IML ram, with the onboard 4gb and adding 16gb on the slot, as I was reading up that it can support 20gb, trying to find a video of someone doing this, but yours is as close as I've come so far.

I have the same laptop but i dont have the other fan in it... are they different?? Or did u upgrade and added 1 fan on it?? .....it overheats alot so i wanted to change the thermal paste do you think thats possible?? ..
there are hundreds of variants out there. maybe its posseble maybe not depends on the mainbord you have, but i think not

@@EasyFixLaptop sorry is not the same. it might be the same slot but not all these slots are PCI-E some of them can only sata. if the slot is a B type is then it is PCI-E if it a B and M type then it could PCI-E and SATA. it could only SATA or PCI-E. if its a M type it is definitely SATA.
the reason is a NVMe has a memory controler on it self. the SATA has no controler on it because the controler is alrady on the mainbord. only the B and M Type SATA drive has a controler on it becaus it is connectet to a PCI-E line and PCI-E do not understand SATA.
this means if the controler on the mainbord you have acces to RAID funktionality with other drive types maybe a 1TB SSD and a 1TB SATA-NVMe in RAID-0 to prevent data losses. but if you hava a NVMe as a B type it has his own controler and does not interact with the memory controler on the mainbord. but the advantage of this is PCI-E direct conectet with the CPU and this gives your a masivedata transfer rate, because the SATA controler is in the chipset of the mainbord and these chipset does more as SATA its controls the complete mainbord. this means USB,Soundcard,memory Drives,fans,power managment,keybord and mous and so on.
you cold say but the chipset has 4 lanes and tne NVMe has only one. yea thats correct but the NVMe does only NVMe and the chipset does oll the other stuff. for example soud on your pc have a huge impact on the 4 lanes. 1 lane from the chipset is almost complete used for sound even if nothing is played.
sorry for the long text but most people do not fully understand the PC and How it works. i repair and upgrade old and new pc and i see this every day

no it is soldered on the pcb. sorry but these times are unfortunately over. i think 2007 the lenovo t60 was one the last one with socket CPU
