I am happy you are enjoying the videos. Comics are not a quick sale, but they are a steady seller so over time I sell enough to keep buying collections.
I love Copper Age as well because I started collecting just as it started and pretty much stopped just as it stopped so 84-92 was when I was heavily into collecting as a kid so I have memories of all the comics on the new stand, a pull list with a bunch of them, getting subscriptions delivered of issues. Going to the comic shop weekly looking for the issues etc. And yeah most can be found pretty cheap.
The comic videos are some of my favorite to make but they take the longest to film and edit so its kinda hard to do them as often as I want to do them. Hopefully one day I have a much larger space for my collection and filming then I can do a ton more videos.
Awesome Comics Most Of My Comics I Have had since the 80s Not a Big Collection. My brother and Friends Gave me ones they were just going to throw away when he and they were trading comics in our tens. I Have a Big collection f Magazines though from 80s and 9-s. I Collect what I like even if it does not have value from Barbies Old Dolls and More I have Almost all the Avon Barbies where I Bought when I sold Avon. going to get back into that one day.
Man I love your videos. I'm just getting into collecting comics. I've bought four mystery Marvel lots on eBay so far and love it. I'm from Louisiana btw. Wish I could come check your store out! Keep posting comic vids bro! Much love
Thank you I am happy you enjoy my videos. Mystery lots can be fun, and as you learn more about comics you will be able to find small collections on ebay that are not as much a mystery and more geared towards what you love.
Most of this lot should go into your bargain bin at your store. But a few highlights: SPIDEY SUPER STORIES # 1 (and# 2) Wow! I've been wanting to get a decent copy of this at a decent price for a loooong time. You got many issues of two of my favorite Copper/Modern Marvel runs. One is the IRON MAN run written by John Byrne and drawn by John Romita jr. (and later Paul Ryan) around the "Armor Wars II" and the "The Dragon Seed Saga" storylines that featured a kickass Mandarin, Fing Fang Foom, etc. The other was the Ann Nocenti long run on DAREDEVIL (#236, 238 to 291) mostly drawn my John Romita jr. (a favorite of mine) and inked by legendary Al Williamson! Also, those few Bronze Age and even a Silver Age or two made the haul worthwile.
Yeah the main thing that thrilled me about this collection was the handful of Silver Age and Bronze Age comics, I tend to build my collection by the few that show up in collections. Its slow going but keeps the price down. Most of the 1980s comics are very sell able for me now, what use to be 25 cent to dollar bin fodder is now $1.50 to $3 comics that sell pretty well. The demand for comics is definitely a lot stronger this year then it has been in a long time.
Do you think the growing sales of back issues have something to do with the multiplication of haul videos on RUclips? This is a theory I have. If I watch too many haul videos on a row, I get the urge to go on Ebay and hunt for big lots of comics I don't really need. Also, a lot of youtubers seems to be advocating the buying of multiple copies of the same comics, which is something that kinda pisses me off as depleting a store of extra copies means other collectors have a harder time findiing the same issues. Now I kinda understand if you are both a collector and seller such as yourself. But a lot of these youtubers are not sellers and just like to hoard multiple copies as somekind of a "status" (?) thing.
I do not buy new comics myself and rarely speculate on hot new issues, honestly chasing after the hottest new things is something I don't have the time to do. I rather buy the deal that I find today then speculate on the hot thing for tomorrow. I lived through the 1990s comic bubble so I have no desire buying multple issues of some new release just in case its the hot new thing. I think most of the folks who are buying multiples of hot new issues are younger collectors in there 20s who have not been through those bubbles bursting yet. I rather buy a comict a year later for $40 when its worth $80 because for every $4 that turns into $80 there is 100 that turn into $1. The demand really has nothing to do with youtube, the largest comic haul channels are really not that large at all. The demand has 100% to do with people falling in love with the characters because of movies and TV shows and then want to learn more about them etc. A new trend I see on youtube is 10-13 year old kids showing comic hauls, that is something that did not happen a year or two ago and I absolutely love it. It warms my heart to see the next generation of comic fans finally entering the hobby. I also have a ton more kids looking for comics, they want infinity war stuff or stuff to do with the newest movies etc. I did not have that happen that much last year and not at all 2-3 years ago. But anyway, I think all the youtube hauls and such is a sign of what is happening in the marketplace and not so much a cause of it. Its definitely because of how important comic movies and shows are becoming in peoples lives.
I do this all the time. I have a few favorite youtubers that I know I will enjoy their video even before watching them, so I check the "like" button right away so I don't forget.
I am pretty sure his first appearance was in Iron Man 55 which I have 3 copies of and then he appears a bunch of times in the Thanos Story Line in the late 1970s Captain Marvel Comics. It is still an issue that is selling for more, looks like all the Silver Surfer comics leading up to the Infinity Gauntlet are selling for tons right now.
LOL Thunderbirds and X-Men instead of X-Force. You seemed very excited, so you get a pass for saying Thunderbirds instead of thunderbolts. It's possible I might have done the same thing if I was very excited. Amazing 367 is a key of a couple or three characters, I don't remember their names since they're lower-tier ones, not the ones you see on the cover. FF 133 is one of the early appearances of thundra, it's not the first but I forgot which. You didn't have it in that particular collection that I noticed, but Silver Surfer Vol 2 65 was the first comic ever bought for myself. The one with Captain Reptyl on the cover. Just in case you don't know, Green Lantern Mosaic 2 is the death of the lantern ch'p. It's a key for any big GL fan.
Its just my brain it process names differently then most people. Its very difficult for me to say the right name, many times I think one thing and say another. Names just do not register in my head.
Hey, I really loved your collection and I have a few questions regarding the comics as I am new to comics and i was hoping you could help me out! how much money did you spend on all of them? How much did each of them cost separately on average? How much was your cheapest comic? How much was your most expensive comic? And also i am new to comics so where can I start? I love flash, dc and marvel Thanks.
In this video? Probably 30 cents a piece on average. I probably paid $5-$10 for a few of them and 10 cents for others but its hard for me to know exactly what your question is or at least what you are trying to learn? In my collect the most I ever paid for a comic is probably around $100 and least for free. If you want to know what are the best stories I would look up your favorite comic characters with top 10 comic list on good and find the best stories. For instance search top 10 Batman comic book stories. I hope that helps.
Pop Fun To Play Thanks, I am buying $1 comics from my local store and I am hoping to get some comics for free or at least for 20 cents because I do not have much money to spend as I am still a teen. Is there any way to get it for free or cheap? Like does the store throw out comics that we can ask if we can have for free?
Stores rarely throw comics out, its easy for shops to sell in bulk for cheap so they will sell a 300 count box for $30-$60 each. Look for Free Comic Book day, you can get a ton of cool comics free that day. There is also a few other days a year they make special giveaway comics. Good luck, starting in the $1 bins is a great way to start out.
Yeah I think all the Infinity crossover stuff since the movie came out is increasing in value. I have kids now looking for that stuff pretty often now, it kinda warms my heart to see the next generation of collectors starting to become interested.
Oh yeah and I was going to say Iron Man 239, while not the first appearance of that character ghost obviously, I think that's the character that was the basis for the female ghost in the second Ant-Man and the WASP movie.
I have protectors on my most expensive pops but not all of them. I do not recommend stacking them without protectors, I will damage the boxes long term.
the condition of the 2 in 1 comics seems really good. i am jealous. i need to gather them too myself. i really love their covers. also u have transformers/star wars/smurfs and voltron. WHERE ARE THE JOES? xD.
Yeah they may be upgrades to what I have already, I need to sort the ones from this video and the last couple into my collection to see what else I need to finish the run. I purchased so many G.I. I do have a handful of 1982-84 joes that turn up in my videos that are on my desk lol
Hopefully it does not take 10 years lol I really want to see what I have as well so I can sort it out and figure out what else I need to finish the collection etc.
You can get empty boxes to use from companies like bcwdirect. If you are looking for collections to buy, I get them from people who bring them to me or I find lots on ebay or I find old comics at garage sales, thrift/junk stores etc. You got to hunt.

All kinds of ways I usually say where I got the collection or find the comics from. Amazon is no good for comics. Ebay you can find great deals, you just have to look for collections that have great stuff in it but not really listed etc. I take a lot of educated guess that pan out on ebay. In the case of this video the Long Box came from a guy who found me on youtube and sold me his Funko Pop collection and brought the comics as well since he knew I love comics. The nice stack of modern comics my neighbor gave to my shop because he was moving and did not want to bring them with him. Start checking out garage sales on the weekend, anything that looks like it might have comics and hit every one you see along the way and ask if they have comics. So many times the comics are not out for sale but if you ask it jogs their memories or they know someone that would have some for sale. Good luck I hope you score some comics soon.

Ah ok so local restrictions, if that is the case I would try to check local Thrift stores more often, if people cannot have garage sales etc they might donate more often the rest of the year.
Thank you for enjoying my video, I really appreciate it when someone watches something that is not their normal cup of tea but still likes the video. I do not have a chase Porg in my collection.
Depends on the card inside the polybag, but yes the Deadpool one is worth a bit. Cable card is as well, the issue without the card or with the other cards is barely worth $1-$2
I am happy you watch them thank you :) My superman related comics are not sorted yet but I have 4 long boxes full so I may have the issues or a duplicate just not 100% sure until I sort. Its on my to do list.
Pop Fun To Play yeah its Awsome I'm planning to do the hauls but I want to play video games as well. and I will do both but I dont have my own house yet this guys has in insane comic book room and I want to do that with my house too lol do you make your comcic book slash suphero movie room to or no. I Love watching your comic book hauls its eye candy it looks amazing I dont have enough comic room so I'm buying the good ones Batman the death in a family and the killing I have darddevil reborn I dont sell my comics I love reading them there fun and they help me out with stress as well its so cool

Funny I am watching you do this haul , while I a bagging and boarding comic books XD. Keep up the good work
That is funny because I have watched other youtubers while bagging and boarding comics lol Its a perfect combination.
And whats even funnier is I found Spidey super stories #3 in my dads collection just now. Is that one you're missing ?
I think so, I only have a dozen or so of them and most are in the 20-50s
Okay , cool. I am in the middle of organizing everything and trying to sell them. I might contact you and send it for free :)
That would be super cool.
nice haul. i love copper age and because it's so underrated i can but it for really cheap most of the time.
I love Copper Age as well because I started collecting just as it started and pretty much stopped just as it stopped so 84-92 was when I was heavily into collecting as a kid so I have memories of all the comics on the new stand, a pull list with a bunch of them, getting subscriptions delivered of issues. Do you by any chance have the Original Green Arrow or Shazam Funko pop for sale ?
I do not. Most expensive and rare pops sell within a few weeks of when I put them out for sale, it is hard to keep them in stock.
Where do you find these comic boxes

Dude I have seen tons of your huge comic hauls... WHERE DO YOU FIND THIS STUFF I just have amazon ebay and a local comic store with very few old issues if any
All kinds of ways I usually say where I got the collection or find the comics from. Amazon is no good for comics. Long boxes usually about 250-300 comics
