  • Topic: If You Are Doing These 4 Things Then These Punishments Are Waiting For You In The Hellfire
    Speaker: Sheikh Assim Al Hakeem.
    Description: Assalamoalaikum Sheikh,
    Wa QAlaikum Salam Wa Rahmatullah,
It's been a while how have you been?
been great alhamdulillah how can I help you?
So the prophet Alai Salat Wasalam said in a quote ''a man will be brought on the day of resurrection and thrown into the Hellfire so that his intestines will come out and he will go around like a donkey goes around a millstone the people of Hellfire will gather around him and ask oh so and so what is wrong with you didn't you used to order us to do good deeds and forbid us to do bad Deeds he will then reply yes I used to order you to do good deeds
but I did not do them myself and I used to forbid you to do bad Deeds yes I used to commit them myself'' end quote.
Shake is his specific type of punishment reserved for monafiqs or is this reserved for believers who had Faith but we hypocritical in the sense that they didn't practice what they preached?
This Hadith is known as the Hadith of Hussamah Ibn Zayd Ibn Harithah may Allah be pleased with him and with his father and the Hadith is referring to an individual who is a Muslim.
So it appears to all of us and the Hadith does not specify whether he's a hypocrite or not but most likely he is a Muslim yet due to the fact that he used to forbid evil yet do it himself and enforce righteousness and and virtue and not do it himself it implies that he was closer to being a hypocrite than an actual sinner.
Because such a punishment is for those who do not walk the talk may Allah forgive us all it's for those who order people and pretend to be righteous while they are deep down through evil and hypocrites.
Each one of us is ordered to do four things to do righteousness and virtue and to order people to do righteousness and virtue so you're ordered to do it and to enforce it.
You're ordered also to stay away from Vice and sin and you're ordered to forbid Vice and sin if you were to short to fall short from doing one of these four this does not justify you skipping the rest because of that.
So if I smoke may Allah forbid that this is vice and a sin just because I smoke does not mean I see my son or my friend smoking and not preventing him and prohibiting him from doing so because then I would have committed two felonies two sins so if I smoke that's a sin on me but if I see someone else smoking I have to forbid that so that it will would be only one sin that is registered and not two if I do this wouldn't I be falling under the Hadith of Usama Ibn Zayt about the one who has his intestines coming out and running around it the answer is no because a True Believer it can't be perfect we all have our shortcomings and flaws but the Hadith is indicative of a person that does this as a lifestyle like so many unfortunately officials or preachers or imams who you can tell and classify as Hypocrites they don't walk the talk they mix with women they do Haram things they attend Haram events and yet when they speak they speak like righteous people but you know that they don't walk to talk and you can see this fits them as a glove may Allah protect us all.
And we all have our flaws and shortcomings but this is different from someone who lives that kind of life and still pretend to be righteous and still in insists to lead the prayer whenever he goes to a Masjid or a gathering thinking that he's the best of all may Allah Azawajal have mercy upon us all.

Sorry brother can you help me understand, what does this mean? How can you get into paradise or hellfire without death? So how would death prevent Jannah? Thanks

@@cosmicpotato3849 this hadith means that nothing will prevent us from going to jannah if we read Ayatul kursi after fardh salah.but only death will prevent us from going to jannah because first we will have to die to go to jannah.hope you understand

The Prophet said: "There is no Muslim - or no person, or slave (of Allah) - who says, in the morning and evening: 'Radeetu billahi Rabban wa bil-Islami dinan wa bi Muhammadin nabiyyan (I am content with Allah as my Lord, Islam as my religion and Muhammad as my Prophet),' but he will have a promise from Allah to make him pleased on the Day of Resurrection."
      Sunan Ibn Majah 3870
      Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "(The following are) two words (sentences or utterances) that are very easy for the tongue to say, and very heavy in the balance (of reward), and most beloved to the Gracious Almighty (And they are): Subhan Allahi wa bi-hamdihi; Subhan Allahi-l-'Adhim,"
      Sahih al-Bukhari 6682
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: "Whoever recites Ayat al-Kursi at the end of every obligatory prayer, nothing but death will prevent him from entering Paradise." [An-Nasa'i reported it, and Ibn Hibban graded it Sahih (authentic)
      Sayyidul Istighfar
The Prophet (ﷺ) said "The most superior way of asking for forgiveness from Allah is: (the dua below)
If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, he will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, he will be from the people of Paradise."
'Allahumma anta Rabbi la ilaha illa anta, Khalaqtani wa ana `Abduka, wa ana `ala `ahdika wa wa`dika mastata`tu, A`udhu bika min Sharri ma sana`tu, abu'u Laka bini`matika `alaiya, wa abu'u laka bidhanbi faghfir lee fa innahu la yaghfiru adhdhunuba illa anta."
O Allah, You are my Lord, none has the right to be worshiped but You. You created me, and I am Your slave, and I am faithful to my covenant and my promise as much as I can. I seek refuge with You from all the evil I have committed. I acknowledge before You all the blessings You have bestowed upon me, and I confess to You all my sins. So, I ask that you forgive me, for indeed nobody can forgive sins except You.

@@cosmicpotato3849 This hadith encourages the recitation of Ayat al-Kursi (Quran 2:255) after each of the five daily obligatory prayers (Salah). The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) promises that a person who does this consistently will be guaranteed entry into Paradise, with the only barrier being death. In other words, if they keep this practice until they die, they are assured of entering Jannah (Paradise).

Maybe the intentions also matter, because my friends who got addicted to smoking and drugs (due to previous trauma) , they themselves tell me not to do it as once I do the Addiction will kick in and will not leave easily.
We protect others from the sins we are unable to leave and they protect us from the sins which they cannot leave.
Both are warning each other to be cautious.
There are certain things which we didn't accept through will but through people or situations which bought us to that stage.
Nonetheless we should be asking for forgiveness and try to resolve the problem. Some fix over time and some does not.

Brother i believe the title isnt accurate as the sheikh said 4 things that muslims must do. So it doesnt make sense for the title to be "doing these 4 things will cause you to go to hell" so shouldnt it be "do these 4 things and you wont see hell"? Or something of that note.
