The problem is that Apple doesn’t have the back catalogue. Disney and Warner Bros. do and that’s why their services are more appealing to me at least.

I read recently they're cracking down if they notice one registered user is watching 2 different programs at the same time and pinging from two different IP addresses. I wouldn't do that, your going to get caught eventually.

Naber Apple sells around 50+ mil iPhone a year alone. Then there are the Mac, Watch, ipad and Apple Tv. So guaranteed a lot of sells already which meansthat much people will have a whole year free of Apple tv+ service. So Apple is guaranteed that much people subscribing to their service in the first year.

Amazon and Apple have a budget five times bigger than Disney and 10 times larger than Netflix, so they can take more risk with their original programming than Netflix and Disney

The trick is to not be subbed all the time. I canceled hbo after game of thrones was over and I canceled Hulu after I binged handmaids tale. No reason to sub to everything all at once

Watch out for Hulu - i subbed to them few years ago just to watch 'The Shield' after which i cancelled. Then few months after they reinstated me for no reason and charged my Paypal account, i cancelled; then four months after that they did it again. This time not only did i cancel but went into my paypal account and Blocked them. Shady.

Yes, Hulu has better selections, and they simulcast their anime. Netflix refuses to simulcast like Carol & Tuesday.

A benefit of Apple TV+ that they didn't cover is that you get a year’s worth with the purchase of a major Apple product, so anyone getting the iPhone 11-for example-will get the service without any additional fees for that first year at a minimum.

@Brango Biggins: I haven’t looked for the terms and conditions yet, but them specifically not calling it a trial like they did for Arcade is worth noting. Worst-case scenario you get 1 free year and best case you are on an iPhone Upgrade plan and get it renewed at no additional cost if you upgrade each year for as long as the offer it...? 🤷🏼♂️

Netflix has The Witcher series, Narcos, dark crystal, breaking bad spin offs while Disney plus has The Mandalorian , Obi wan story and 3 marvel shows.
Like the video says, I think we take Netflix for granted cuz its been around so long. Maybe if you don't like shows I guess (?) the library is stupidly gigantic. So much that nobody's Netflix even looks the same. There's more content on My List than I'll ever even get through.

Amazon is problematic. It does not matter what country you are in they display all the content available. So you think great I have stuff to watch then you click on it and it states you cannot watch this in your region. Don't display it then.
I'm gonna split the cost with a friend. You get HBO max and Netflix and I'll get Disney plus bundle and Amazon video. Then we just share

Not exactly sure how but Apple Tv Plus subscription here in India is showing as Rs. 99 a month, which is around 1.5 dollars. (Obviously most OTT providers are cheaper in India, except Netflix).

I think a lot of content will eventually. DC Universe is struggling on its own.
Doom Patrol is the only show confirmed to be watchable on both DC Universe and HBO Max. I think they’ll start with Doom Patrol season 2 and then everything else will come later. All CW shows will be available.
Southpark and Simpsons is all I watch. Which is HULU!
Amazon has sooo many great exclusive shows that people aren't aware of. Plus it's just a killer deal with everything else that comes with Prime.

I’m torn between Netflix and Hulu. Netflix has quality content but Hulu has a lot of nostalgic shows.

I have HBO, Netflix, Amazon Prime and am planning to have Disney+ and Apple TV. If I have to cut down the cost, Amazon Prime is the first to go. There are only 2-3 great original shows; the Boys and Mrs.Maisel. I could sail the high seas afterward to catch up on them. I'll watch Star Wars then I'm done with Disney+. Not a fan of Handmaid's tales so I have no idea why everybody pays for Hulu lol
In short, only HBO, Netflix and Apple TV (it's cheap and their Sci fi shows look epic and adapted from great content) are still worth the money.
Got rid of Netflix, charging every year higher. I went with Hulu for now.

I guess (and adding to the conversation) that this move is a long-term investment. As we know, the Apple board knows that currently can't even compete with bloody Hulu! Let alone Netflix and the likes. I think this is an investment directed towards the long-term future. This form of entertainment it's gonna be the standard in a certain amount of time. How much? IDK. But it will. Apple, obviously, wants to be there and ready when this thing gets global and huge. Which for sure it will, huger than cable TV is today. These are undeniable facts. Last but not least, y'all mentioning what Netflix (etc.) have, but seems to forget one thing Apple has that nobody of those has... The 400+ billion dollars in cash! In the long-term, they can have a shitload of content.
Hulu is not even here in Latin America so... Apple TV plus could be cool. Besides, Netflix has an awful low quality of plot in their movies and specially Teenager dramas.
