War Eagle my friend! Thanks for the video. I am in the research phase of getting a Runaway camper and appreciate the time it took to put this video together.
I like the solar mount idea. Very versatile!
😲👍
Love your camper setup
Very Nice.... Runaway owner also!
We recently got our Range Runner and can't wait to take it out for the first time! Yours looks great! :-)
I like your style and your simple little practical touches. Nice one.
Love the name!
Looks great! Can't wait to buy mine and make it my own!
Thanks Bubba, I like ur set up :)
Looks good. Gave me some ideas. Thanx.
Great tour. I’m stealing the puck lights under the corner shelves idea when I finally get a Runaway. Roll Tide!
thank you
How did you mount the locks for the solar panel?
Bubba, haven't heard a thing for awhile. See you at Alexander springs when you can.peace!
I love it I am getting one for me I hope to anyway
L@@KING GOOD, BUBBA!
Nice! Are you full timing it or doing extended outings?
Hi Bubba....i just found your channel tonight yay! I have been thinking about buying a similar trailer and wondered about pulling it with my car I have a Jeep Compass. Then I saw that you are pulling yours with a small car. How do you know if your car can pull something like that easily, without it putting a strain on the vehicle? Do you live in yours full time now? I'm no longer a young person by any means but this has been fascinating to me for many years now. I would like to be able to split up the state that I live in do six months here in North Carolina and maybe do six months in Arizona or Florida haven't decided. I don't want to spend a lot of money on a huge RV so this definitely is something that would interest me. I'll have to go back and go through your list of videos to see everything. Any suggestions I'd love to have accept. I saw the video where you took apart a table and put it outside of your little runaway what a great idea. Do you stay in campgrounds or do you do BLM land. Do you ever find it hard to get to water or stuff that you need?
Does Briggs know you jacked his outro?
Interested in your door locks for your solar panel. Did you screw those in and how do they work? Thanks
Crazy question. I see a lot of folks with LOADS of items set up outside their Runaways, big tables, grills, fridge, etc. When the weather decides to wreak havoc, what do ya'll do with all of these items? Load em back up in your vehicles?
I personally keep outside items to a minimum. A canopy, 2 burner stove and a folding chair. Most items are OK with the weather. I make sure to to tie down the canopy very well and it'll withstand some pretty tough winds. If necessary though I do have room for these items in the trailer without getting in my way.
Whatsup Bubba i would like to know the link to the utility box ? your videos have been very helpful to me just received the Solar Controller 👍👍
It was a cheap utility box off the shelf at Walmart. If I remember right I think it was less than $20. Cheap and light but serves the purpose. The tongue of the Runaway say 100lb max so lighter weight the better.
What kind of gas mileage do you get pulling it with that Escape? I pull mine with a Miata which does great but no room in the car for anything else plus we took it in a 10,500 mile trip and averaged around 24 to 24 MPG but the ride wasn’t comfortable at all. I’m thinking of something like that escape
Looking forward to getting my own Runaway very soon. My question....I have a 2008 Cadillac Sedan with a NorthStar engine and about to hit 40,000 miles on odometer. Car like new and love "my ride". Do you think I would have any problem pulling a 6x8 Runaway in Georgia and Tennessee mountains? Getting ready to retire "again", no kids and Chi and cat "ready to go" places and leave tv behind!
I'm pulling mine with a 4 cylinder Ford Escape. Check your tow rating. Mine's 2000 pounds max. I think the 6x8 starts at 890lbs + options.
Hey hey, ROLL TIDE ROLL
My favorite Memory video of BCBP
Bubba, what is the brand of pop up did you purchase? Do you have any dislikes about it?
Thanks for this video. Please let us now about your tow vehicle and especially the engine...turbo or non turbo, tow rating, and any experience towing in hilly areas. Do you have an estimate of your typical traveling weight? Do you feel your tow vehicle is adequate for your travels? If you replaced your tow vehicle would you make a different choice and why?
2016 Ford Escape, 1.6L, 4 cylinder, 2000# tow capacity. Trailer is 700# empty and I estimate 1000# loaded. 23 - 25MPG while towing. No problems with hills, can easily keep highway speeds while climbing steep grades. Just did a trip through the Appalachians with no problems. Time will tell if the Escape will suffer any ill effects from towing but towing at approx 1/2 tow capacity should be no problem. Love the mileage and can hardly tell I'm towing this tiny camper. If replaced, would definitely consider same vehicle.
Thanks for your reply. Looks like you made an excellent choice. I'm considering a 2019 Ford Transit connect 2L non Turbo. I think it should work if prudent with equipment and supplies. Happy and healthy camping.
@@snowbird29803 Lots of RVer's swear by the Transit. Should be a good choice.
Do you have link to where to get those barrel locks for solar panel install. Genius idea...
Bought them off the shelf at Lowes. www.lowes.com/pd/Gatehouse-Sliding-Patio-Door-Cylinder-Lock/3407882
