My mother passed 35 yrs ago when I was 18. She was Jumano / Kiowas. If you believe the history books, she was extinct before she was even born in 1923. She taught me to ride horses, hunt, fish, and farm. To appreciate what the Rio Grande valley, and the world had to offer, what mother nature shared with us - both the beauty and the hard work. Most of all she taught me to have an open mind . To love and respect all peoples. Thank you for this song, is beautiful.
Your mother is my hero with all of those skills. I would have loved to met her. Hopefully in my next life.

I love how it starts with them in modern clothes and they both change into there cultural clothing like she is teaching her child and the music is the same . Cultural music with a modern mix . Beautiful and creative. Can't get enough of it

My Mother recently went home to Great Spirit. She would chant & sing to me when I was little. Though the language is different, the meaning is the same. When she was dying, I chanted & sang the same song for her. We Come Full Circle and Enter Into The Sacred Spiral. BEAUTIFUL... THANK YOU! 🥲🥲🥲

My grandfather is 89, he is soon to pass, I have felt it in my bones since 3 months ago, my mother has been so depressed, she does not understand that what she has been feeling is her spirit having to let go of my grandfather. She is his daughter. My mother is an only child. His blood runs through her to this day with the cries of our ancestors, it is such a beautiful experience though, because this love between my grandfather and my mother still holds so strong. ❤ I am grateful that my grandfather is my grandfather for eternity. I am grateful for Great Spirit and All He Has Done.

One of the women that helped me get through and to learn to stand on my own, is my Native mom. We aren't related but she stepped up and took me in as a teenager. Taught me her culture and so much more. She brought out the best of me even for a little while. She visited me today. She traveled so far to come see my grandmother and I after my grandfather passed away in this January.💖 I love my moms, my birth mother, my grandma, and my Navajo mom. 💖
This feels a message of love from my divine mother.. She adorns me with her love, she delights in my being, she is ever present and wants me to know she loves me special. Thank deeply for tribute.

Heroic people, really!

My Menominee friend turned me on to this song. Now whenever I hear it I'm in tears. Just because I spend a lot of time on the road for work and it makes me think of everyone I love, those who have passed on and those still here. Mom, dad, grandmas and grandpas, sister, brother, friends, old lovers, mentors, and neighbors. It just makes me think of their smiles and their hugs. Humans are precious. Thank you Supaman and Ashley Hall for producing such a beautiful song.
My wife is Cree, but when her mom died when she was 14 she became estranged from that side of her family.
I wish I knew how to help reconnect her to her roots. Especially on Mother’s Day it feels that disconnect is really hard on her.

I'm sad this happened to her. My Mother lost her Mother first at six. Then, her Father one year later. Orphaned. Then Riverside Indian School then Fort Sill. Glad, she has family now......🪶🦬🪶

Take her to the annual powwow if possible......once there a reunion will happen. She'll be amongst her people.
