Its Ironic that all of Satakos looping actually made a perfect work for Rika: Teppei, Rina, and Takano redemption + the lack of paranoia from K1, Rena, and Shion made June 1983 literally perfect. So i guess that name of Satakos Arc was very literal. Shes destroying a perfect world

But whatever 'demon' Shion is/has as her dark side is strong; but seeing Renas she cant even fully grasp how dark the abyss is to the point where it worries her.

The moment Rena unsheathes her weapon and the music kicks in, I just get goosebumps everytime. Say what you will about Gou and Sotsu, they had some of the best Higurashi murder scenes. I just love this series a little too much.

@@arielthemermaid3576 You're welcome. If you skip Kira (4 episode OVA) you won't miss anything because everything in Kira is non-canon, fanservice episodes that don't include the main story. Outbreak OVA (1 episode) is a what if scenario of the main story that I won't spoil you about. Nekogoroshi-hen (1 episode OVA) was published between 2006 and Kai, first half of it is comedy, second half is serious. The episode supposed to give you a mystery about some occasion in the story (which is also a spoiler). All in all, you don't have to watch these in the end, just go with 2006 > Kai > Rei > Gou > Sotsu if you would like and enjoy.
Somehow I've seen worse things than this in anime...thankfully we didn't see her eyes when she died or her limbs getting detached or something graphic like that.

Seeing this Ritsuko in Sotsu who's sympathetic unlike her bitchy counterpart made me think that the bitchy Risuko we know should have understood that she's scamming off Rena's dad who's also divorced as Ritsuko was raised with one parent and what she did without thinking causes me to assume she's a hypocrite after all and caused her own death indirectly.

I’m probably a little late here, but can someone explain what’s going on here? Or at least tell me what I need to watch to understand? I’ve only seen the original Higurashi so Idk, is this a remake or a sequel?

@@Arachnophobia137 thank you so much! I just ordered a complete collection disc on Amazon, but it only has Higurashi 2006, Kai, and Rei. Hulu only has Gou right now... Do you think I’d miss anything important if I skip Nekogoroshi-hen, Kira, and Outbreak?
@@arielthemermaid3576 You're welcome. If you skip Kira (4 episode OVA) you won't miss anything because everything in Kira is non-canon, fanservice episodes that don't include the main story. Outbreak OVA (1 episode) is a what if scenario of the main story that I won't spoil you about. Nekogoroshi-hen (1 episode OVA) was published between 2006 and Kai, first half of it is comedy, second half is serious. The episode supposed to give you a mystery about some occasion in the story (which is also a spoiler). All in all, you don't have to watch these in the end, just go with 2006 > Kai > Rei > Gou > Sotsu if you would like and enjoy.
Somehow I've seen worse things than this in anime...thankfully we didn't see her eyes when she died or her limbs getting detached or something graphic like that.
