Thank you very much! These videos are really just to remember how I made them, I don't pretend to teach anything. It's true that animals are quite difficult, even more so at this scale: to reproduce the visual sensation of fur would require so much work that it is unfeasible, horses are also often represented at a smaller size than would be appropriate and disproportionate to make them technically feasible and fit on a base... what can I explain that you don't already know! Thanks for your comment.
True, anything corresponding to the baroque will always be very showy. Also this war involved a lot of different factions, almost the first world war before the first world war.
@@MinisMyWay Yes, it’s very complex. I wish there was more good research on it in English, other than the perspectives of Marlborough and the British, though I don’t mean to put that stuff down. Guess I ought to learn Spanish and read the sources myself
Fantastic brushwork again! I have just discovered the WSS in 10mm and am totally hooked, to the point where I have suspended my 15mm AWI project in favour of it. Quite easy to paint and they look so good lined up in battalions and squadrons.
I have never painted 10mm, I'm sure they are very different challenges. Well ordered armies always look better on the table than WW2 armies disguised as vegetables and scattered chaotically, certainly! XDXD

Thank you! I wonder too, but he likes to keep his secrets to himself until the end. I think it's starting to be time to consider a battle of my Spanish army against their Catalan army replicating some real WSS battle. I will propose it to him for when I have some more finished units.
Thank you! They are paper, printed on a home printer. In the previous units I used the lead flagpoles that came with the figures, since they fit so tightly that they didn't need glue and therefore I could change the whole flag to use them as another nation, but they are a bit thick and covered half of the face, plus I do the mistake of painting them white so they took too much prominence. Finally I have changed them and now they are like the one in this unit: a sewing needle with the head cut off to which I added some putty at the tip to make it the fins of the spearhead, painted in a dark color, and the flags are still printed, but using recycled paper, which has some texture and the white color is a little more grey.
I have not had more problems with it than with other paints. I always apply varnish, both to improve the finish and to protect from wear and dust, I think it is very important the primer for scratches; usually that is the weak point I have found and it is logical because the paint has more difficulty to adhere to the metal or resin than to another layer of paint.
My local suppliers sell mainly Vallejo primer so I do not have much experience with other brands to be able to recommend one more than another, but I can tell you that Vallejo has always worked very well for me and I am very happy with their results. To make sure of the adherence of the primer, what I do is to first clean the figure with soap and warm water and handle it with latex gloves until I have it fixed on a support, to avoid fingerprint grease.
This was the best tutorial I have seen. I loved it. Don’t know how I missed it 🤗🤗 even with the thousands I have painted I still struggle with horses.

I do like this horses painting demonstration . Always looks good to have a large variety ! Greetings , Robert .
Since the riders are the same, at least let the horses make a difference! Many thanks!
Nice tuto, great uniforms and splendid details!👍👍
Thank you! Please, it's not a tutorial, I'm just sharing with you! I'm sure there are things I need to correct, please tell me.
Such a beautifully painted set of cavalry
Thank you very much, I appreciate your comment!

Thank you very much!
Nice job, Alex.
Thank you!
a beautiful unit, the War of Spanish Succession is very rich visually

Looks good - quick, simple, and looks good what more could you want. I add a little touch of high light to the horse's ear tips and eye lids.
Thanks for the advice. I will try it in the next ones. Thanks for your comments!

Very nice words coming from a stranger, my best wishes. Samante 🙏
Very nicely painted, so what is Lluis doing to add to these armies for the games other than the standards?

How do you do your flags? They really add to the units.

Do you think Vallejo Model Air paint scratches too easily? Would varnish help this?

@@MinisMyWay So, you are committed to Vallejo surface primer then?
