- This is the WBA Class 4A championship performance by the Clovis North Marching Band & Color Guard at the end of the 2019 season. Clovis, CA.
Clovis North's show, titled The Distance, describes how the sheer power of love forges an eternal spiritual connection between a parent and child despite physical separation. At the start of the show, the gold ribbon being unfurled across the center of the field represents the two being pulled apart, the distance between them. By show's end, the color guard wings (butterflies) in all white, symbolize the parent becoming a spiritual being, flying and dancing above. The performance's final moments unite the parent and child, connected once again, bonded by true love. Together forever. The show design of The Distance was inspired by a dearly loved family connected closely to the band and color guard.
Thank you to everyone who helped make The Distance and the entire marching season a memorable one! Appreciations and credit to the Western Band Association.
