Just look at televisions to see how far technology has come in human history. What was once a bulky box on your #entertainment centre is now a wall-mountable flat panel. With the rise of #streaming services, even the way we consume content on our screens has changed. Today, as we tune into the storied history of television sets throughout the decades, we're celebrating the innovations that continue to entertain us from the comfort of our homes.
The late 1920 and 1930:
In 1926, The American inventor #Philo Taylor Farnsworth was 21 years old when he made the first electronic television. This system captured moving images using a beam of electrons. This is what we know today as a #primitivetechnology camera
In 1929, the Baird Televisor became the first commercially available television. This early television set was small and used reflected light to produce a low-resolution image the size of a postage stamp. Since then, the invention of the electric television has provided a higher resolution and made mass-production easier, rendering Baird's mechanical televisions obsolete.

I believe the first battery powered portable TV was not a Sony, but the Philco Safari in 1959.

NGL I hope this channel gains traction and you continue to produce content like this... might just be my nostalgia, but it all lines up to my childhood and the tech expansion of the 90s and early naughts to the best of my knowledge.

It is a nice overview, but I would like to see more steps and more specs. For example the flattening of CRTs, the battle of tridot vs Trinitron, CCFL, LED and QLED backlights, broadcasting evolution (HD was merely a gimmick in the beginning). I think around 2010 we saw the highest quality sets ever with CCFL Full HD TV's being fully mature. Production was still local in most areas, actual money was made on TV making and people bought it as a long term buy for serious money. Inputs were plenty, software unobtrusive and parts used of the highest quality. Today TV's are garbage, not able to earn any money other than from ads, with planned obsolescence in 5-7 years. Android TV or Tyzen is a serious pain in the butt, and dirty screen effect has taken over, a thing we never had in 2010. Not to mention you need a PHD to combat image improvement algorithms and extreme high K white points.
In 5900 Tommy-Douglas, Victor, Thérèse, Samuel and Eden Like TVs but David and Shirel Hate TVs

1:38 - what does aircraft being produced have to do with a video about the evolution of television? Also, it says 1900 on the screen but the audio says 19,000.
2:27 freaking finally, CRT TV made it to the USA
But, I am pretty sure even before 1938 we had electronic light projectors behind screens, maybe they were low resolution, but a step up.

On the cover photo, the television set on the left should be dated “1939” or “1940”, when it was in production by RCA.
I grew up in the 1960's. Newton Minnow of the FCC called T.V a "vast wasteland" at the time. Even as a kid I remember talk of T.V making people fat and lazy, and we were too occupied with. it. Sitting for hours staring at what was referred to as the " Boob Tube". The White oak 1960 Zenith 'Space Command" model we had went first thing in the morning and was on all day into the night.
We did have fun during snow storms watching old movies. I loved the programs and talk shows back then. In those days anyone on T.V was well dressed, and people seemed more articulate. I'm of the first generation to grow up with T.V. I still the shows were better. I just found your channel and I'm enjoying it.

Nice history, but I want to ask people this question. What is the difference between televisions and monitors? Because computer monitors do the same thing with the broadcasts, the Nintendo switch. And bluray player I mean, I have A 1080P TV in my room so. Yeah. Can people let me know in the comments? What is the difference? Nicely

Curious fact..I ve seen a lot of pre 1940s movie..none of them ever shown a television device. TV became popular only in the 50s
I would rather watch an American video where the words are spoken in American English and American measurements.
