    Awsome video, I have same trailer since 2014 and wanted same thing. Just haven't had a chance and your video is best of all the ones I've seen. Thank you I just got more motivation

    Really badass conversion loved both videos. My brothers long time buddy is letting us have any trailer on his property in Oregon and they are all boat trailers so we're gonna try and build something similar thanks for your knowledge old-timer

    A hint so that when you are driving up your wooden ramps when they are wet so that you don't slip off is to get a walking belt off of a scrap treadmill and cut fit and staple it to the boards. Learned that the hard way loading up the 4 wheeler. The walking belt gives pretty good traction.

      Don't let that stop you! You'd be surprised how easy some things that look difficult! All it takes is a bit of determination and willingness to learn

    Q, what drill bit did you use to go through the steel?

  • @williamtaylor5798
    @williamtaylor5798 4 года назад

    Is the trailer a little heavy on the tongue when loaded? The axle is pretty far back.

    • @Michaelsbackyardmarina
      @Michaelsbackyardmarina  4 года назад +1

      by design it is a touch on the tongue heavy side but that's how I like it. Still well within the hitch capacity. No fishtail action here. I loaded a pallet of mulch (75 bags) and placed the center of the pallet just ahead of the axle and it towed perfect. This axle position gives you options to put the weight where you want it.

    Nice build but definitely need wider ramps though

    Do you remember what paint you used? Its been a year now, how's it holding up?

    • @Michaelsbackyardmarina
      @Michaelsbackyardmarina  4 года назад +2

      Rust oleum. That trailer has has thousands of pounds hauled on it and it works perfect.
