Korean translation: In the story the winds only hear, my heart flutters. The clouds that bring tomorrow, look towards that voice. The trembling moonlight in the mirror, quivers with my heart. In the tears spilt by stars, I spilt all faith. How nice would it be, if we could go together hand in hand I want to go, to the place where you are, into your arms, there I remain, I leave myself with you, wrapped in darkness, I dream a dream. The winds stop and a voice, whispers from afar. The clouds that bring tomorrow, just a faraway dream. The moonlight in the mirror, my heart spills, When the stars quiver and stop, and spill, I cannot hide hide the tears. How nice would it be, if we could go together hand in hand I want to go, to the place where you are, into your arms, As I gently brush your face, the dream of tomorrow vanishes. the korean lyrics are a bit more appropriate.
Her name is Lee Soo Young, she has a ton of songs in Korea. You might like her song "Debt" if you like this song. The video is available here on RUclips.
This version is better then the original, I think. Both are excellent, but I like Lee Soo Young's voice better. It's more soothing and seems to go better with the video.

I love this version. I found it from band master. and I was wondering why the version i downloaded for my mp4 was different than the version from band master.
I really love this version of Isnt it wonderful because it sounds more flowing than Rikki's ver though Rikki's ver suits FFX more and Lee Soo Young's ver kinda suits something more for a korean drama xD But I love this version the best~~
i love this more the original and the orchestra version its just such a lovely version of the song! Not that i don't love the other two versions its just this one is so amazing!
wow...i wrote my comment 5 months ago...dang...school really got to me. neways, i agree, japanese one rocks the hell outa all other versions, but, i just found out a while ago that boa kwon is KOREAN!!! wow big shock, thought she was japanese. She is one talented pretty girl :D
like....this song is so popular!!! theres so many versions of this song, well so far ive heard about 4 different languages! totally awesome! love the song too
The best version IMO, I remember on youtube there used to be a video up of lee soo young singing this live, idk where it went if anyone knows/can find it please tell me, much thanks.
They have this version on the FFX Soundtrack. I had it imported directly from Korea for my birthday last year. It coste $50. It is only a two disc set and it doesn't have all of the songs that the Japanese soundtrack has but it still is a worthwhile buy.
GypsyVanner, do you know how to get the Korean lyrics to this song? I have typed them up myself through phonetics and how I hear them but I am not sure that I am even typing the correct lyrics.
For those who are arguing which version is better, I just have a simple thought. Even without a singer (both version), this can be considered a great song. We should just give thanks to the composers for composing this wonderful piece of music.
I actually do really love this version of "Suteki da ne". Lee Soo and Rikki's versions are different in voice and language, but it still conveys the same meaning and I feel the same when I listen to either this or the original version :)
That's true but it just goes to show what could happen with a really great song. I wonder if it was translated into any other languages not posted here on RUclips...

I love both Lee Soo Young and Rikki. The people who choose singers for FF sure do know my favourite singers.. Lee Soo Young, Koda Kumi, Leona Lewis, Angela Aki, Sugawara Sayuri, Gackt, Ayaka, Faye Wong, and Charice
Yes, major bows to Rikki but this singer has a softer, sweeter voice almost as if Yuna herself was singing it. This is so beautifully done but distinct from the original version. I love it and Miss Young has a beautiful voice.
@scrtwpnx Actually Rikki, the person who wrote and sung the original song, is a famous traditional folk singer in Japan. It's said she was chosen to sing for the game's soundtrack because her voice is higher pitched than most of the mainstream Japanese singers and also cause it's 'nice and gentle'. Koda Kumi, who is a lower pitched mainstream singer, did 1000 words. (Sen No Kotoba) So yes, there is a distinct difference in style but Rikki isn't singing in opera. ^-^
@scrtwpnx It's all good. You were on the right track but I didn't know if you knew for sure what type of singing Rikki did. Hope I wasn't being to forward in clarifying that for you. I agree with you too. People shouldn't complain over Japanese having too high or squeaky voices. After all, people are people and every language has someone with a squeaky voice. I think if you have a preference then you should just say so and leave it at that cause there's no need to be hating on others.
For the people who doesn't know, the Artists's last name is LEE. In English, the name is Soo Young Lee. Soo Young is the first name, and Lee is the last name. You have to remember, FAMILY name comes before person's name in some Asian cultures. That's why when you see Olympics, you see family name is in bold. Example: John Jacob Jingleheimer SCHMIDT LEE Soo Young
I'm just wondering, but does the korean lyrics have anything to do with the original lyrics? Both of the versions are beautiful in sound by the way. ;u;
Korean version sounds like a lullaby. Japanese version sounds like a love song in the wind. The only thing that makes one or the other superior is to the listener's ears and heart. I feel that both versions reach the goal of making the listener enter a dream-like state, rather, a state of longing. Oo, but in preference to Rikki's Suteki Da Ne to her cover of Aeris' Theme...Suteki Da Ne beats it by a million years, and the Korean Suteki Da Ne beats that one "Eternal Love" song from FF13.
There is a movie version of the game that is 11 hours long. I've seen it and it's pretty good! It's just like you're watching the game without playing it =)
Beautiful version. I think the character (tonal quality) Korean language fits this song well, though the Japanese is also outstanding.
Korean translation:
In the story the winds only hear,
my heart flutters.
The clouds that bring tomorrow,
look towards that voice.
The trembling moonlight in the mirror,
quivers with my heart.
In the tears spilt by stars,
I spilt all faith.
How nice would it be,
if we could go together hand in hand
I want to go,
to the place where you are,
into your arms,
there I remain, I leave myself with you,
wrapped in darkness,
I dream a dream.
The winds stop and a voice,
whispers from afar.
The clouds that bring tomorrow,
just a faraway dream.
The moonlight in the mirror,
my heart spills,
When the stars quiver and stop, and spill,
I cannot hide hide the tears.
How nice would it be,
if we could go together hand in hand
I want to go,
to the place where you are,
into your arms,
As I gently brush your face,
the dream of tomorrow vanishes.
the korean lyrics are a bit more appropriate.
That is a beautiful translation! Do you do this often? Perfect combination of literal and figurative.
Yes, Lee Soo Young is a very popular ballad singer, and has released several albums. She's also appeared in several daytime drama's as well.
Her name is Lee Soo Young, she has a ton of songs in Korea. You might like her song "Debt" if you like this song. The video is available here on RUclips.
Thanks bro....
deep and graceful voice
As a Korean trying to learn his grandmother's language. I would love to learn the lyrics so I can maybe record a male vocal cover of this.
loooooove her voice!!!! so endearing and sweet.
Another way to love something, all versions are wonderful. That, and so many wonderful talents pour their souls into it.
It sounds more soft and peaceful than the Japanese version. There both beautiful though :D
Such a beautiful and soothing voice will suit Yuna herself, singing the song in Korean... Just my imagination! :)
this one of my favorite songs ever thank you for sharing
best song in FF
=)
I LOVE THIS VERSION!
not because I'm biased toward Koreans, but I think her voice is best!
This version is better then the original, I think. Both are excellent, but I like Lee Soo Young's voice better. It's more soothing and seems to go better with the video.
love all versions.

@Aqua1Dakemura waaay too true to the original--which in the end made the korean version suffer even more,in my opinion.
I agree with u there!
no need to turn him down...
its his own opinion...
well I like the viet (cause Im viet) and the korean version (her voice is beautyful)
nice
Does this have a version of movie? Or it's just a game?
Just a game
There is a movie version of the game that is 11 hours long. I've seen it and it's pretty good! It's just like you're watching the game without playing it =)
I like the original, but this is just as nice in a slightly different way.
Oh. lol. Yeah, I suppose it was for you. I can't promise not to write too much if someone asks me something though.
I have this song on mp3 format!!! if someone want it please e-mail me!!!!! yaaaay!!!!!!!!...lol'!
Actually it's Miss Lee. Like the Japanese people they put their last name to the front but I get your point.
this song has japanese-vietnamese-chinese-korean-english versions
