    It’s such a sneaky devil. I get convinced I’m cured of anxiety and go on with my life then all of a sudden I start falling back into the trap of believing I have a bad heart and that it can’t be anxiety because I’ve beat it. Thankyou for snapping me out of it, I will no longer face this as a heart issue but as anxiety once again. I’ve beat it before I can do it again.

      Anxiety does have a habit of rearing its head when you least expect it. Use the tools shown in my health anxiety playlists. They should help keep it quiet for longer. ruclips.net/p/PLLLHgjmNNVTF5PT0N3sTulqL2JOfggva5

      Was over having an std scare that I basically made up in my head with catstrophizing at 19-20 YO. I’m 33 now got trauma to my left testicle, caused some pain. I put an ice pack on my junk over top my pajama pants. Fell asleep for almost 2 hours with it there. Woke up panicked so hard I slept with a heating pad there all night. I was so freaking scared and I somehow knew right away OMg it’s triggered something in the same traumatized area as before. So I’ve seen a couple doctors etc. I’m basically cleared as fine but I have so many weird symptoms and am thiinking I need every test known to man and even then I probably wouldn’t be ok. Idk. It’s just the overall trauma to the area I can’t believe these wounds are still able to be opened like this

    This is exactly it. For 4 years now I go up and down where I am completely unconcerned with heart issues (it's been checked and checked and has been ruled as totally OK and healthier than even other hearts)....then I will experience indigestion or maybe a slightly high blood pressure reading after a stressful day and BAM, I am back at the bottom.
    Constant reassurance seeking, hypersensitivity to every sensation in the chest, constant worry that my slightly elevated cholesterol is finally causing the fatal clot, flashbacks to the 5 friends I had that died suddenly (all around my same age) even though I never learned how they died.
    And I get the panic attack, ER trip/burnout, and 2 weeks of fatigue and recovery. Long, slow recovery. It happens at almost the SAME time every year, too.
    I have no family history, don't smoke, never drink, exercise 5 days a week, and eat healthy foods. And yet a little twitch in my left shoulder triggers the worry almost instantly.

      Thats great to hear Angie. It is usually around the 3 months stage of CBT that you start noticing a significant difference. Keep doing what you are doing and it will continue to improve.

    Thank you so much. I have suffered from postpartum anxiety and panic disorder for almost 2 months without knowing it because I am the kind of person with a strong personality. I have decided to be admitted to the hospital because my blood pressure is always 150/100. I want to have a general check up and lab test and everything are normal. So the doctor told me I am only hypertensive. I never experienced any blood pressure problems throughout my pregnancy even the time I delivered my baby. When I got discharged from the hospital, still felt dizzy and the worst 1st time loud palpitations in my heart. So I am just wondering what happen to me even though my eyes get blurred. I just found out the next day that I have muscle tension in my body so I got the conclusion that the cause of my dizziness and blurry vision is also the muscle tension at the back of my head. After watching all your videos, it seems that it woke me up for everything. You really help me a lot to manage my racing thoughts and negative emotion. The next day all the symptoms I have become less and continue to help me bring back my normal life again after a few days. I did not say that I am fully recovered for just a week because I know that a possibility to have it again. But one thing is for sure, I know how should I deal with it, mind over matter. I am practicing my self to remove slowly all the safety lists I made for myself, should know how to handle stress. Thank you again Sir.

    How I would know my real BP reading while I'm anxious about it even to think of the monitor?

    • @TheAnxietyAttic
      @TheAnxietyAttic  Год назад +1

      Anxiety can cause a lot of inflated readings so it is very hard to know what it really is. But the act of constantly monitoring it causes more anxiety. So you get stuck in an anxiety cycle. Its best to reduce monitoring. This video will help ruclips.net/video/0sKUMR1JLZE/видео.html
