These videos are pretty pointless if you cannot figure out how to focus on the item you are trying to show. It's the same as a laser, focus is important.

How is it for cutting wood? 3 to 5 mm thickness?

Not. This is not for cutting, nor is it good for wood. Best with metals for engraving.
