If you're not intending on learning how to play it as an instrument, you might be better served getting some wind chimes or a water chain. They're cheaper ways of generating pleasant sounds while its raining.

I think best way to use these is put it out on a morning after rainfall when there’s slower drips coming off a gutter. I’m sure it’d sound more soothing than this racket
