There are 2 major reasons why Akane couldn't be a member of B Komachi. 1) Akane belongs to LalaLai... that is a major company she works under. That's will be major legal issue and a headache for President to work around. Remember she said she needs someone who free agent... like Kana. Akane being in Lalalai makes it hard for her to join Strawberry Production. 2) Akane is Aqua's "boyfriend". That alone will hinder B Komachi. Remember Idols aren't allowed to be in relationships. That holds true even if they currently in a relationship in a public eye.
Just saying, you all discussing about who is at fault, Aqua didn't think through this and that, my man Aqua probably is fully focussing on the revenge and still have to take care of his sister idol group at the same time and have no time to think about other things lol
Japanese karaoke scores on a scale from 1-100 accuracy wise. So Kana getting a 97 is actually insanely good, even if it was her own song. I’ve seen pro Japanese singers trying to get a high score on their own songs and I haven’t seen anything higher than a 97, funnily enough.
I think the music video was released when the haters were still prominent, making it perform lower then it should. I feel Kana would of been proud of the song and told Aqua about it earlier if it was a big hit.
i don't think aqua needs to apologize since he's not responsible for kana's feelings ( that she hasnt made him aware of yet ), but there is a point to be made that he could encouarage /reassure her so she can get through her slump.

He brought Kana water and told her good work as a nice gesture, so that's on her if she pushed him away. She told him to not bother her so he left as she requested. lol
Aqua doesn't owe Kana anything. But, he clearly thinks of her as a friend, so he should help her if he can. But it's a bit hard for him to connect to her when she puts up walls like does right now.
really enjoyed your post-discussion! :) I agree with you guys that Aqua doesn't owe anything to Kana (not dating, never lied, etc.), BUT I think what's really bothering her is the kiss. Deep in her mind, she should know that it's just acting and what he told her when playing catch is true (it literally means nothing to him and it's just a job) because she is an actress herself and she should understand. However, Aqua didn't need to kiss Akane. He could have just asked her to date and that would've been it. So, although good for the shows' views, there was no reason to kiss her and that's what is probably messing with Kana-like if you didn't really like her, why go that far?-type of stuff.
Agree, my only thing to add is, that Aqua didn't kiss akane for the show, he kissed akana for his own self interest, to use her professional perspective as an actress who took on the persona of aquas mother.

thanks for the reaction y'all! some notes and stuff to expand on things for context: - 4:10 as it goes for japanese idols, the age limits for big name idol groups are real here, so for the opportunity memcho had to turn down, she very literally aged out of qualifications - to feel too old for it would be fair enough if that's what she had in mind. typically for such groups, you can expect to see a higher frequency of idols graduating in their early 20s. however, there isn't necessarily an age limit on when they have to graduate - so you can very easily see a few idols well into their late 20s and early 30s before they graduate. - in terms of modern idols, memcho really doesn't have much to worry about - with a career like hers, personally i think her fans likely already suspect her age is different. and aside from the big name groups, there's really no rules for anyone starting up chika idol groups (previously mentioned as underground idols, also known as indie idols) - even just searching around and following recommended videos, there's idol groups where some members join past age 25, and other members are _definitely_ older than that. it really goes down to whether you got the moxie to keep trying at it. - they bring up japan idol festival, but the IRL version is tokyo idol festival. next TIF will be in august. you can find lots of IRL idol performances to see what idols are generally like. if you peep the lineup, you can also see the variety of what idol groups can be like. - 15:53 she's definitely stuck in her feelings here and criticizing herself unnecessarily, but she's very much the type who'd make for an idol people would love - that there's hella akane fans who love her as a character, i see that as proof of this lol. - 16:54 in-universe, they probably sing okay. and the reality is that you don't really need to start out as a good singer to be a popular idol lol. nowadays i'm seeing some idol groups actually have challenging singing and choreography, but aside from akane actually having quality singing, memcho and ruby both have valid strats since those are also factors that can help idols become more popular. big japanese idol groups may have actual training in some capacity, while others might chuck choreo at you and expect you to perform at some mini concert not long after (or when possible you'd have to pay for instructors yourself). personally i think it's a mix of both perspectives - an actual visible personality (funny, sassy, anything), along with demonstrated effort in trying to improve one's skills.
Yeah y’all basically went through it in the after discussion and I would also like to add that considering Kana is also an actress I feel like she should at least think of the chance that the kiss was an act. A few episodes ago they even discussed that Aqua was acting out as a totally different person compared to his real self
Miyako literally told her about kissing for acting like in ep 5 when they first talked about the reality dating show and that Aqua was putting on an act, so she had the information. lol
I feel like Kana's inherent youth and the fact that she just could be a jealous girl in general is probably one of her more interesting character flaws considering she's very... human/flawed lol. As if Miyako's lecture on the dangers of "holding onto chastity" was a red flag for her already. Kana should be taking her own advice in regards to "getting used to stuff" in the industry, since clearly... She isn't doing a good job lol.
I think part of the problem is that he only shows up when he wants something from her. As she said, he only complimented her when he was trying to make her join Ruby's idol group and then he basically used the same words for Memcho. He is always acting in one way or another and never really opening up to anyone. Kana has no clue what's going on in his head and whether they are even close to begin with. Combine that with her already existing self-doubt and the fact that she needs to get over her crush and you have a pretty good reason why she would try to distance herself emotionally. Except that she's now contractionary bound to his twin sister and can't just avoid him Obviously Aqua doesn't owe her anything, but considering that he barely communicates at all I'm not sure how much he should expect others to open up to him
Kana's romantic feelings aside, I do think that Aqua is taking advantage of her when it suits him, oblivious to the potentially nefarious effects his actions can have on an already emotionally fragile teenager... just like the entertainment business did. He used her to get close to that producer (can't remember his name right now) so he could gather info on Ai, convinced her to join his sister's idol group while not taking into account her own plans and dreams (even though, as he said, he didn't say anything that was lie) and is always asking her to look after Ruby, not caring that as a victim of a cutthroat industry, she's been mired not only in low self-esteem, but also in an unwarranted lack of confidence in her abilities that makes her constantly doubt her worth. Even though Aqua does seem to trust Kana, Mem is more worried about her than him, and they met, what, two days ago?

Aqua doesn't have anything to apologize for. He wasn't leading Kana on, she just has a crush she thinks is unrequited cause he got a girlfriend, eventhough he told her it was a work relationship and she is an actor so she should know this is how that works. She never confessed to him and he doesn't know so why is he the bad guy? And I don't get the scrutiny of him telling her that he is starting to hurt his feelings. I mean think about it, up until this point he and Kana are friends on good speaking terms and comfortable enough to just hang out. Then 1 day Kana just starts acting more harsh and prickly than she typically is and pushing him away. No duh it would start to hurt someone's feelings, that's not manipulation especially when he has literally nothing to gain. Kana is willingly in the group and her participation is hinged on her wanting to be there. Aqua may have helped get her there, just by asking mind you, but he isn't the linch pin of her staying. People are putting unnecessary blame on him for doing literally nothing wrong. He doesn't know she has a crush on him, you can't know everything in someone else's head no matter how smart you are and you aren't responsible for someone else's feelings. Not to mention people just saying he is manipulating her when, no he isn't and he would gain literally nothing from doing so so why would he even do that. If anything he is literally not manipulating anyone. He asked MEM to join cause they needed more members and she told him her story. He told Akane their relationship was only a work thing and he saw value in her talents. He asked Kana to join their group and Ruby and Aqua both made a case to her to join cause they needed members. The fact all these girls HAPPEN to be useful to his goals is just circumstance. And in the case of Akane, he was helping her before he knew of her skills and even then made it clear he wasn't romantically interested, so their ties are platonic

A great post discussion again, really taking the time to see it from other POVs! I always see Kana as a representation of Aqua's relationship with acting as well: he understands it enough to manipulate it, but too scared and hung up on revenge to invest his heart into it fully. Could you imagine how afraid he'd feel of history repeating?
Nah Aqua didn't do anything wrong. He told her he didn't have feelings for anyone on the show. The obvious assumption would be that the kiss was an act. They all know he was exaggerating his personality for the show on purpose. And then Kana got all jealous and started acting a lot more callous towards him than the usual teasing banter she does. He was well within his right to tell her she was gonna end up hurting his feelings if she kept being mean to him. She made an incorrect assumption because she was jealous and took it out on Aqua. If anyone should apologize, it's Kana, not Aqua. She never even told him she likes him and they aren't together. (Kana's still best girl tho.)

Aqua has no obligation to apologize to Kana. They didnt have a romantic relationship in the first place. That being said, he did lead her on (unknowingly), so Kana has a bit of a right to feel that way. Is it right for her to push Aqua away? Well, is it right for anyone to run after being scared? This is overall just an unfortunate turn of events. If only Aqua was more vocal about his plans. Howver, he still has no obligation to tell Kana for the same reasons stated above.

Aqua doesn't owe Kana any apology. He's an actor, actors have to kiss all the time. The director even told Kana if she keeps acting she'll be asked to kiss someone in the future too. Aqua even said he feels nothing for her and it's just a job to him.
Basically the plot for the final arc is Ruby and Aqua is trying to have a kid which is Ai's reincarnation. But Akane realize this and with the help of Kana they try to stop it. Alot of things happen that now Ruby and Aqua's father is on their side and willing to fight anyone thats gonna stop them. Kana dies in the process. The last 5-6 pages are colored steamy sex scenes of Ruby and Aqua while their dad and Akane is crying on the background. Source? Dude I was the author's janitor I literally saw the drafts. Real.
Huh? Why does Aqua need to apologize? Nahhh. Miyako Saitou already explained to Kana that there was a potential future in which Aqua would need to kiss as it was the logical conclusion of the show. Miyako Saitou also explained to Kana that she was going to get hurt if she stuck to conventional societal norms regarding love while in the entertainment industry. She even provided an example, saying that Kana would likely someday need to do kissing scenes with someone she wasn't in a relationship with, even if she had a boyfriend. Aqua was there too, so he knows that Kana knows that this was a possibility. Not only that! But he explained that it was just a work relationship, taking considerate care to define what the relationship was to alleviate her concerns. Unfortunately (and unsurprisingly, since she *is* a teenager, so it makes sense) she can't separate her heart from her head, despite these two instances of explaining things to her. She's had problems with this before, such as when she signed that contract making her an idol. But that isn't something Aqua should apologize for. Would it hurt for him to sit down and communicate with her so that it hopefully sinks on a third time? Nope! Should he feel obligated to it? Not really. This is something she needs to figure out on her own too, because it ain't sinking in with others' help. Most importantly though. If you ignore all of this, just read these four words please: It. Is. His. Job! He needs to commit to a role. He needs to follow a natural progression that the readers would enjoy. Think of it this way. A manager's employee is bombing his production schedules. The employee is his boyfriend's friend, so the manager gives him a month's leeway, but the employee keeps bombing production schedules, slowing down work and risking quota measures. There are no extenuating circumstances. It is the manager's duty in his work to fire the employee. Should he be expected to apologize to his boyfriend? No, because he had to do it. It wouldn't hurt to communicate about it, but it ain't his fault so he shouldn't need to apologize.
Kana never told Aqua how she felt, Aqua has never shown he has emotional feelings for Kana yet. What Adorkable is describing about the situation between Kana and Aqua, is literally how women will often times read into something that isn't there, but never say anything either. She is upset with Aqua for being with Akane, but she hasn't expressed to Aqua that she likes him, when he and Akane are together purely as a business relationship...so Kana's mistreatment of Aqua, due to her hurt over something he isn't even aware of, is actually hurting Aqua. Aqua BTW, has caught up mentally with his body, thus all thoughts of his past life are a thing of the past now. Aqua and Ruby are essentially no longer the doctor and Serena now, they are their new forms nearly entirely now. So the funny thing now is...Kana should actually go and apologize to Aqua. So glad y'all realized that Aqua hadn't done anything wrong to need to apologize to her for.

So Mem's 25, Ruby is 14 (but mentally 26) and Kana is 15-ish but has a lots of experience cause she started as a child star.... (and Aqua is 14 going on 40...)
You can't really consider Ruby as mentally 26 when she died as a 12 year old (in a literal sense you could say that she is mentally 26, but it sounds more like she's being referred to as having the maturity of a 26 year old when she's only recently properly experiencing puberty for the first time). The number doesn't really accumulate the same way because she was still super immature when she died.
Since the title of this time is "B Komachi", I wonder if they will form an idol group and do some kind of activity? I thought. But it was different. By the way, the Japanese band Jooubachi「女王蜂」 is in charge of the ED, which in English translates to Queen Bee, and the song title is Mephisto. The band is very famous in Japan. It's become so popular that I want it to continue until the final episode, not just the second season. And when I looked at overseas sites, there were weeks when Demon Slayer and Oshi no Ko were competing for 1st and 2nd place, but Oshi no Ko had the upper hand. In Japan, Demon Slayer is overwhelmingly stronger. The true final episode must be exciting. MyAnimeList ("MAL" for short), Anime Trending, Anime Corner, reddit In particular, MAL has a score, but at the moment, Oshi no Ko is definitely more advantageous. Of course, there is a difference between Demon Slayer being in the 3rd season and Oshi no Ko in the 1st season. With that said, you can see how amazing the anime was, Fullmetal Alchemist, which is still number one, with the animation of the manga that lasted for nearly 10 years and the overwhelming number of members. It's my favorite anime too. Normally, the points will gradually drop, but it's difficult for the Demon Slayer to win with points unless something goes wrong. Also, there are comments on reddit, but I don't understand English lol
If Ai is to be reborn , she wouldn't be the same age as them. She'll be younger considering only 12 years had passed. She'll be somewhere between ages 8 - 12.

I wonder how many from "weeb" culture (jk) songs has made something like this far, from what I can just remember only think on Levan Polka (Miku ver) and Red (Mori Calliope). The way I see it is, if “romance “ isn’t one of this manga/anime’s main tags, it’s a bit more clear about how it will handle things. Aqua seems like most non-romance main male leads. He has one objective and a one-track mind. Until he accomplishes that goal, he won’t even spar the time for romance, or at the very least, he’s oblivious to those kinds of things. Sure, he can find others attractive, but he won’t pursue it. I wouldn’t be surprised if Ruby gets into an actual romantic relationship before Aqua does, and as a possible redemption, he can actually protect or save an idol he adores this time.
Not really.... There's a trigger note in the karaoke where you just need to hit it.... The randomness of it is because of the background sound.. but if you start hitting the trigger note, it will evaluate your score... Some karaoke has 10- 20 trigger note.. if you know the timing, even 10 worlds in a song can achieve it... But in Japan... Each word/lyrics has trigger note.. that's why karaoke there are expensive, compare to here in PH it's easy to build a karaoke

If you think about it, Kana experienced similar circumstances to someone that had experienced it recently. But she still stood against it, still being herself, kept improving herself and faced them straight on. She deserves a better guy than that womanizer.

It's a learning process, it seems. Though it reminds me that I like how up front Akane was with Aqua last episode to know the status of their dynamic so she wouldn't be led on by him. She took control of the situation to ask him for honesty, took the honesty in stride, and kept it professional.

Not saying she's right tho, even if she thinks the relationship is real and Aqua mislead her when she asked about the show, he doesn't owe her anything so she doesn't have the right to be rude about it. It's also a matter of personality: Akane is accommodating and meek, while Kana is transparent and reactive.

She could have just went along with it and not question it and go along with whatever if she was that meek, but she cleared the air for herself. Honestly, Aqua didn't even mislead Kana with the show either. It was more like the situation changed for Aqua to require more contact with Akane. But yeah, that's how she perceives it.

Why would Aqua have to explain anything to her? She doesn't really have anything on Aqua. I think Aqua knows she likes him based on her reaction and how she acts. He's smart. And on that point of having a conversation. Having a "real conversation" would that be basically admitting that she has romantic feelings for Aqua, and that's Kana's problem, not his to deal with.
You can be smart and not know the thoughts in someone's head. Just cause you are smart doesn't mean you can figure everything out. Now if it was Akane, I'd say yes because she is shown to be able to read people on a scary level

@@raec5426 it's because of his past trauma that he's stuck being unable to move forward at anything in life, the only times he progresses is when he's finding things out about Ai, so anything romantic for him is beyond his reach till he deals with that trauma

I think Ruby has to be center. Kana ain't even really interested in the group, she is an actress who got talked into it because her crush for Aqua. MEM-cho also shouldn't be lead because she's 25 so she is a short-timer, she's going to be wanting have a serious relationship or her looks are going to catch up with her age sooner rather than later. There are 2 major reasons why Akane couldn't be a member of B Komachi.
1) Akane belongs to LalaLai... that is a major company she works under. That's will be major legal issue and a headache for President to work around. Remember she said she needs someone who free agent... like Kana. Akane being in Lalalai makes it hard for her to join Strawberry Production.
2) Akane is Aqua's "boyfriend". That alone will hinder B Komachi. Remember Idols aren't allowed to be in relationships. That holds true even if they currently in a relationship in a public eye.

Japanese karaoke scores on a scale from 1-100 accuracy wise. So Kana getting a 97 is actually insanely good, even if it was her own song. I’ve seen pro Japanese singers trying to get a high score on their own songs and I haven’t seen anything higher than a 97, funnily enough.

I agree with you guys that Aqua doesn't owe anything to Kana (not dating, never lied, etc.), BUT I think what's really bothering her is the kiss. Deep in her mind, she should know that it's just acting and what he told her when playing catch is true (it literally means nothing to him and it's just a job) because she is an actress herself and she should understand. However, Aqua didn't need to kiss Akane. He could have just asked her to date and that would've been it. So, although good for the shows' views, there was no reason to kiss her and that's what is probably messing with Kana-like if you didn't really like her, why go that far?-type of stuff.

- 4:10 as it goes for japanese idols, the age limits for big name idol groups are real here, so for the opportunity memcho had to turn down, she very literally aged out of qualifications - to feel too old for it would be fair enough if that's what she had in mind. typically for such groups, you can expect to see a higher frequency of idols graduating in their early 20s. however, there isn't necessarily an age limit on when they have to graduate - so you can very easily see a few idols well into their late 20s and early 30s before they graduate.
- in terms of modern idols, memcho really doesn't have much to worry about - with a career like hers, personally i think her fans likely already suspect her age is different. and aside from the big name groups, there's really no rules for anyone starting up chika idol groups (previously mentioned as underground idols, also known as indie idols) - even just searching around and following recommended videos, there's idol groups where some members join past age 25, and other members are _definitely_ older than that. it really goes down to whether you got the moxie to keep trying at it.
- they bring up japan idol festival, but the IRL version is tokyo idol festival. next TIF will be in august. you can find lots of IRL idol performances to see what idols are generally like. if you peep the lineup, you can also see the variety of what idol groups can be like.
- 15:53 she's definitely stuck in her feelings here and criticizing herself unnecessarily, but she's very much the type who'd make for an idol people would love - that there's hella akane fans who love her as a character, i see that as proof of this lol.
- 16:54 in-universe, they probably sing okay. and the reality is that you don't really need to start out as a good singer to be a popular idol lol. nowadays i'm seeing some idol groups actually have challenging singing and choreography, but aside from akane actually having quality singing, memcho and ruby both have valid strats since those are also factors that can help idols become more popular. big japanese idol groups may have actual training in some capacity, while others might chuck choreo at you and expect you to perform at some mini concert not long after (or when possible you'd have to pay for instructors yourself). personally i think it's a mix of both perspectives - an actual visible personality (funny, sassy, anything), along with demonstrated effort in trying to improve one's skills.

I think part of the problem is that he only shows up when he wants something from her. As she said, he only complimented her when he was trying to make her join Ruby's idol group and then he basically used the same words for Memcho. Aqua doesn't have anything to apologize for. He wasn't leading Kana on, she just has a crush she thinks is unrequited cause he got a girlfriend, eventhough he told her it was a work relationship and she is an actor so she should know this is how that works. She never confessed to him and he doesn't know so why is he the bad guy? And I don't get the scrutiny of him telling her that he is starting to hurt his feelings. Nah Aqua didn't do anything wrong. He told her he didn't have feelings for anyone on the show. The obvious assumption would be that the kiss was an act. Basically the plot for the final arc is Ruby and Aqua is trying to have a kid which is Ai's reincarnation. But Akane realize this and with the help of Kana they try to stop it. Alot of things happen that now Ruby and Aqua's father is on their side and willing to fight anyone thats gonna stop them. Kana dies in the process. The last 5-6 pages are colored steamy sex scenes of Ruby and Aqua while their dad and Akane is crying on the background.

Miyako Saitou already explained to Kana that there was a potential future in which Aqua would need to kiss as it was the logical conclusion of the show. Miyako Saitou also explained to Kana that she was going to get hurt if she stuck to conventional societal norms regarding love while in the entertainment industry. She even provided an example, saying that Kana would likely someday need to do kissing scenes with someone she wasn't in a relationship with, even if she had a boyfriend.
Aqua was there too, so he knows that Kana knows that this was a possibility.
Not only that!
But he explained that it was just a work relationship, taking considerate care to define what the relationship was to alleviate her concerns.
Unfortunately (and unsurprisingly, since she *is* a teenager, so it makes sense) she can't separate her heart from her head, despite these two instances of explaining things to her. She's had problems with this before, such as when she signed that contract making her an idol.
But that isn't something Aqua should apologize for. Would it hurt for him to sit down and communicate with her so that it hopefully sinks on a third time? Nope! Should he feel obligated to it? Not really.

What Adorkable is describing about the situation between Kana and Aqua, is literally how women will often times read into something that isn't there, but never say anything either. She is upset with Aqua for being with Akane, but she hasn't expressed to Aqua that she likes him, when he and Akane are together purely as a business relationship...so Kana's mistreatment of Aqua, due to her hurt over something he isn't even aware of, is actually hurting Aqua. Aqua BTW, has caught up mentally with his body, thus all thoughts of his past life are a thing of the past now. Aqua and Ruby are essentially no longer the doctor and Serena now, they are their new forms nearly entirely now.

The way I see it is, if “romance “ isn’t one of this manga/anime’s main tags, it’s a bit more clear about how it will handle things. Aqua seems like most non-romance main male leads. He has one objective and a one-track mind. Until he accomplishes that goal, he won’t even spar the time for romance, or at the very least, he’s oblivious to those kinds of things. Sure, he can find others attractive, but he won’t pursue it. I wouldn’t be surprised if Ruby gets into an actual romantic relationship before Aqua does, and as a possible redemption, he can actually protect or save an idol he adores this time.

The randomness of it is because of the background sound.. but if you start hitting the trigger note, it will evaluate your score... Some karaoke has 10- 20 trigger note.. if you know the timing, even 10 worlds in a song can achieve it... But in Japan... If you think about it, Kana experienced similar circumstances to someone that had experienced it recently. But she still stood against it, still being herself, kept improving herself and faced them straight on. She deserves a better guy than that womanizer.

It's just that Kana is mentally stronger, even with her low self-esteem, abandonment issues and being constantly sucker punched by life, she always manages to get back up with her own strength. That's why I like her most, but Akane is not at fault for not having the same strength, she is just a different type of person and that's not bad

In this episode we see that even though Kana matured a lot professionally, the way she's treating Aqua shows how she is still emotionally immature
It's a learning process, it seems. Though it reminds me that I like how up front Akane was with Aqua last episode to know the status of their dynamic so she wouldn't be led on by him. She took control of the situation to ask him for honesty, took the honesty in stride, and kept it professional.

Not saying she's right tho, even if she thinks the relationship is real and Aqua mislead her when she asked about the show, he doesn't owe her anything so she doesn't have the right to be rude about it. This situation was just the last drop in the cup, she's feeling so dejected she's not thinking straight. It's also a matter of personality: Akane is accommodating and meek, while Kana is transparent and reactive.
@Beatriz Oliveira I wouldn't say Akane was meek in that situation though since she asked him straight what was up. She could have just went along with it and not question it and go along with whatever if she was that meek, but she cleared the air for herself. Honestly, Aqua didn't even mislead Kana with the show either. It was more like the situation changed for Aqua to require more contact with Akane. But yeah, that's how she perceives it.

Why would Aqua have to explain anything to her? She doesn't really have anything on Aqua. I think Aqua knows she likes him based on her reaction and how she acts. He's smart. And on that point of having a conversation. Having a "real conversation" would that be basically admitting that she has romantic feelings for Aqua, and that's Kana's problem, not his to deal with.
You can be smart and not know the thoughts in someone's head. Just cause you are smart doesn't mean you can figure everything out. Now if it was Akane, I'd say yes because she is shown to be able to read people on a scary level

I think Ruby has to be center. Kana ain't even really interested in the group, she is an actress who got talked into it because her crush for Aqua. MEM-cho also shouldn't be lead because she's 25 so she is a short-timer, she's going to be wanting have a serious relationship or her looks are going to catch up with her age sooner rather than later. Ruby is the reason the group even exist, she's young so he has more potential time in the industry, and she is a great dancer.
I thought it would nice for Ruby too, but going by the promo stuff and this episode ending, it's Kana.
No problem with Ruby but keep it mind that she's newbie in this stuff, considering Kana is much better than her in terms of skills. Remember what the center of an idol group means
