Some of them are even only FWD, yuck. Meanwhile the R8 is a lambo-based supercar with V8's and V10's, a 40/60 weight distribution (total opposite of TT) and its got a RWD-focused AWD (can even be easily modded to be RWD). Just... no comparison, they are so fundamentally different. The R8 is a lambo in audi skin, the TT is a A3 with less space.

I enjoyed very much driving Renault Laguna Coupe (just 172hp) for less than 10.000 Eur. With a lots of imagination - it could look very expensive ;) (Aston Martin style) and there are a little bit more expensive v6 and limited versions with 350+ hp...

The sell a version of the 370Z (the enthusiast edition) here in Canada for the equivalent of £17.5k brand new. All the performance features are intact as far as I'm aware, just it doesn't come with leather seats, nav and a few other features. It''s also 50 kg lighter than even the Nismo 370Z, and 100kg lighter than a regular 370z with all the options. For that kind of money I think it's an impressive package.

A Phaeton in good condition has an interior to rival an S Class of the same era, W12s are hard to come by, but at least in the US most Phaetons on the used market have the W8.

Excellent video. Well done, sir. I have had a couple of the alternatives you listed, plus a 911 Targa and a couple more you did not mention. Might I suggest the SL-500 or SL-550, or even an AMG or a V-12 SL-600, instead of the cramped and somewhat downscale SLK? I like the SLK, but they generally have less performance and much less presence than an SL.
One good one is the Chrysler Crossfire, it shares everything with the Mercedes Benz SLK 350 except the body and the car insurance comes with or without the supercharger, sticks like glue plus it is rare around town. You turn more heads with the Crossfire than we did with the SLK.

You missed the Volvo C30 T5. I just bought an 09 6 months ago for 8K US. It's just the automatic and I actually got it because the payment and insurance were less than the gas bill for my 1984 GMC truck. Anyway, most people don't even know it's a Volvo. The best fun in the car is when people try to bully or tailgate you, all you have to do is stomp on the throttle and drive away ! Even then going into a deep turn you can stay on the throttle and out chicken them because it's front wheel drive and won't get away from you as soon a rear wheel drive car driven by someone who is just a masher. I want to get a later model R type with the 6 speed transmission, but it's not in the budget for now.
If you want supercar like performance good options are V8 Mustangs, V8 Camaros, used Corvette, a good used Porsche Boxster... pretty much anything with over 400 hp and is between 20-50k is where you want to be at.
An alternative to the Toyota Supra would have to hands down be the Toyota MR2 (for all the other car nerds out there specifically the SW20 model). I am well aware of the “snap-oversteer” issue, but if you are very gentle and forgiving to the throttle, you won’t have that problem.

One car that does look like a Ferrari with beautiful looks is the fiat coupe, stunning looking and very unique, the 20vt has a 0-60 time of 6secs so pretty fast, you can pick them up for £3000-£6000 and are actually going up in value now!
And you are going to notice the engine placement? Unless you plan on racing the car,a rear/mid engine doesnt really any differences. Yes it may handle nicer and be more stable,but if you are going to drive it so hard on street for that to be important,you probably dont deserve the car. Or if you are a real car guy you could buy MR2 which is mid-rear engine,swap a Mezger in @ ~800 hp,carbon fiber hood and body panels,brembos and you have a supercar. Lfa is amazing but I think the 86 or more recently the Supra is the affordable version with the typical sports car proportions and rwd. Celica is fwd and pretty small to be a super car alternative.

What about cars like the 2005 evo rs? Aluminum body panels and awd with a beefy power plant that is easily tuned to make 500hp or more. Not to mention the price tag is very affordable for an average car nut.

The size of the country has nothing to do with the prices of cars. 1: Most often people have low income, thats why cars are often out of reach anyways and seem to be more expensive. 2: Countrys like Pakistan and alot of other countries do not build these cars, thus they need to be importet, checked etc, which drives the price up on its own. Just for the perspective. Italy is Great Britain is relatively small, way smaller than Pakistan. And to no surprise the cars are so cheap there, this is because of the weather which aint great at all for the cars (rust etc). Still just a small example.

If you want supercar like performance good options are V8 Mustangs, V8 Camaros, used Corvette, a good used Porsche Boxster... pretty much anything with over 400 hp and is between 20-50k is where you want to be at.

An alternative to the Toyota Supra would have to hands down be the Toyota MR2 (for all the other car nerds out there specifically the SW20 model). I am well aware of the “snap-oversteer” issue, but if you are very gentle and forgiving to the throttle, you won’t have that problem.

Lfa is amazing but I think the 86 or more recently the Supra is the affordable version with the typical sports car proportions and rwd. Celica is fwd and pretty small to be a super car alternative.

1: Most often people have low income, thats why cars are often out of reach anyways and seem to be more expensive.
2: Countrys like Pakistan and alot of other countries do not build these cars, thus they need to be importet, checked etc, which drives the price up on its own.
Just for the perspective. Italy is Great Britain is relatively small, way smaller than Pakistan. And to no surprise the cars are so cheap there, this is because of the weather which aint great at all for the cars (rust etc). Still just a small example.
