  • We stayed at Skyline Wilderness Park in the week between the Wild West Pioneer Ride at Skillman Campground and The Tevis Educational Ride. It was at a lower elevation and had showers & cell service etc. Leilani & Shirah share thoughts about the trip as a whole. Subscribe to watch our next episode about the Tevis Educational Ride itself.

It's really fun and inspirational to watch your journey to Tevis! I'm learning and entertained with a dream of Tevis too someday! :)

Saludos desde La Cordillera Blanca de Peru. Hi, just started following. I’ll never do a Tevis most likely but I have a horse in Peru where I ride mostly mountain hard terrain areas from 10,000 ft and upwards to over 14,000ft. I have lots of questions but to start are your horses shod or with boots? Mine is shod but looking into what benefits there may be to switch to boots. Any recommendations? Thanks.

We have used both Renegade Hoof Boots or Steel Shoes with great success 😄
