Great video, love the farm! My 17 year old son is having the same issue. He has his eye on the future while all his “friends” are getting in to all the wrong things. He’s very open with us and them about how he feels about it and has distanced himself from all of it. I’m positive your mom is as proud of you as I am of mine for not following the crowd! ❤️

Loved the view of farm. I had 8 kids. Now I have 10 grandbabies from oldest ones. Will wait to see about youngest ones. But my oldest was only able to have one that God gave her. She has a rear type off diabetes and they said she should have never been able to have a child. Our Luna is a gift and my youngest was and is a miracle Kiona. I'm so grateful for gods help and guidance. You did and do great keep up the good work.

I always enjoy blunt honesty. You won’t ever be popular for being so real and honest. I rarely get likes or heart from more than 2 or 3 people when I speak blunt truth on social media. It’s just the way it is. But you never know the seeds that you plant by speaking truth. Keep it up. If you were to compromise to get more followers that would not be good. Matt, I really enjoyed the farm tour today. We are looking for land to homestead on here in Nebraska. It's been a long process and feels like we will never find the right property. To many people, a homestead like yours may look a bit hill billy, but to me it is a paradise you have built there. There is no truer home than one that has grown from the sweat of your brow. Every inch is as familiar to you as your face in the mirror. I loved the way you talked about multigenerational. That shows a real love of your land. If I was in the same position, I would consider slowly getting those pines out, and replacing them with oak, pecan, and oranges. They are heritage trees.
It is a shame when friends part ways. I think I know what you are talking about. The love of God has no compromises. I have been through it all before, and at the time it also made me very sad. Over time, I realised that I had walked down a path with friends, and then there was a junction, and we chose different directions. That's OK. Cherish the good times you spent, and wish them the best for the future, and move on. As you get older, you will realise that these sort of events will be the story of your life. Meeting people, parting with people, the important thing is that you stay true to yourself and your principles and values. These things are more sacred than relationships. If you lose yourself, you are truly lost.

I was encouraged by what you shared about how God provided this property for your family. As for the lost friendship, when I was 16 years old (I’m now a mom of 2 little ones) I ended a friendship with my childhood best friend. We were going down two different paths, and I could no longer ignore the bad influence this friend had on my life. I chose to follow God, and my old friend turned her back completely on God. Last week I found out she died. I grieved her lost soul, but also realized how she had been given every opportunity to follow Christ. If I had continued my friendship with her, I could have also had my life end in disaster. I imagine it hurts a lot to lose your friend. “What a friend we have in Jesus” is a great hymn that brings me comfort.
The Lord blesses all those who believe and trust in him. May the lord continues to bless your family. I enjoy washing your videos and learn from them. Mom and Dad are bless to have such good hard working young men.

Friends are significant when one is growing up, but sometimes you gotta let some people go. It was hard for you to say bye, but new solid friends will enter your orbit. You did the right thing.

And the things you say that I’m not 100% on board with I take and think about because I know it’s coming from Christian love so I’m not afraid to chew on it a bit. I am so very proud of you for taking a stance. I also totally understand how very difficult it can be. I have adult children who have chosen paths the Father would not have them travel down. Unfortunately the world says their life choices are something they were born with, and not something they can control. This is so sad, for I feel like I have failed to help guide them in the correct path. I can only let them know while I love them, I can't condone their choices. This has created so much heartache, but I have had to tell them there is NOTHING on this temporary world I love more than my Father in heaven, not even them. And that this stance makes me who I am, and why I can love them so fiercely and enough to tell them. This seems to be the love you had for your friends. We can only pray your seeds planted in their lives will be watered by the living water of Jesus our Savior and that He will call them, and they will heed His call. It's OK for a man to cry. I have a son that is now 38 yrs old up by Bonham that I taught at a very young age that it is ok. And, sometimes its better to let people go. Yall seem to be very fine young men. Your parent should be very proud which I'm sure they are. I know I am of mine and how he is teaching his babies too.

Great video! I love your desire to make your homestead multi-generational. We are one of those couples that couldn’t have biological kids, but God is gracious and kind and we have two beautiful daughters through adoption and 8 grandchildren. My daughter went through the same thing with friends and was very sad to not have any going to college but there at K-state she met Chi Alpha and soon had many God following kiddos. She now has alot of support in Christ.

I’m a new subby as of last week, been binge watching and liking everyone I see. Strangely, I found Texas to be my promise land..called it that for the last 5 yrs…I will be there soon, my next nursing assignment will be taking me just beyond there.. again, Shreveport LA, I’ll make it there when God says so…however I enjoy your family’s perspectives on everything from gardening to your relationship with Jesus/God.. Although I had to find Jesus on my own-my parents I think were Atheist. I also had to leave organized religion..on my own..but it doesn’t change how inspiring your family is to me…on all levels! I would definitely tithes to your family..(join, etc). I judge by the fruit one produces now…And anyone can clearly see the fruit (no pun intended), but literally and figuratively, that your family produces in all aspects of y’all lives! You all are extremely wise, transparent and unapologetic--my kind of people! Thank you for great, spirit-driven content!

I think God places each family and children where they are to be. God does use people where they are. There are many children that go to public school that turn out awesome and God needs some people to witness in those schools.
