  • Here are some reviews about me being a recruiter for about 2 months. I still feel like I'm new and still getting the hang of things. It is definitely different than being in the regular Army.

This comment made me happy. Honestly it feels surreal. I haven’t even made a video about it…and how it’s been! All my hard work has paid off 🙏

I’m in the ARC now and we went over packets and Ikrome for maybe a day total. Your spot on definitely need more time with those topics!

MHS Genesis makes recruiting more challenging. I am an Army and OIF vet who would do anything to go into the guard or reserves to finish out my 20 year career. I just have too many conditions that Genesis would catch and I have a VA rating that’s too high. I really miss the Army. I wish I never got out. For starters, I have sleep apnea and had thyroid cancer a few years ago and my thyroid was removed. I also have high blood pressure and cholesterol and iron deficiency anemia. I also injured my back and neck in service and have herniated discs. I would love doing basic training again and would leave tomorrow. I just wish I stayed in until retirement.

I’m the ARNG, looking to get a conditional release to go active. It’s going to be close with the AD Ret points and age..
I have an appointment with a recruiter soon.

Can't say this is what I'd want to do now that I'm an NCO, but I recognize that y'all are doing an extremely critical job for the Army. Hope your time as a recruiter is as productive and fulfilling as possible, SFC.

I’m at my station right now. You’re right, the guys at my station said they don’t teach you everything about building packets at ARC.. which makes it really difficult.
Hopefully that changes when I attend ARC next month.

Please let me know if they do! Cause they really need to do that. I feel like they should do more emphasis on that than doing face to face prospecting.

Recruiting is a tough job, but necessary. Keep up the good work of selling the Army. I did four years active and seven years in the guard. I was never an official recruiter, but was on orders (ADSW) for about 6 months as a National Guard recruiting assistant. My job was to generate leads for the recruiter by visiting malls and schools. I can tell you it’s not an easy job.

I tried joining the military but the new system Genesis prevented me sadly . I was misdiagnosed when I was younger for autism and adhd . Meps denied me then I had to wait like 6 months for a wavier . I got a psychiatrist to run some test on me , the old test though . And he said that he doesn’t think I have autism or adhd . He wrote it out in a letter saying he thinks it was a misdiagnosis. And meps still denied me… I’ve always wanted to join … kinda sucks really .

There is a RUclips user named "Huckleberry" that claims she is a Veteran. She never went to basic training...only signed up for the Minnesota National Guard while in high school in 1993. She says she has a "DD-214" which she doesn't...she has an NGB-22. She said she "served her country." A few videos on my channel of her claims.

I keep getting conflicting answers and just wanna know if I should be honest about it or not i know i cant test dirty but am curious if its gonna disqualify me or anything like that?

Would joining infantry be smart , I’m 27 with four kids and a wife….just wondering if anyone has done so with a 0,1,2,3 age basis of a family. I want to join as infantry but also aware I may be away from my family for a huge portion of time. Any recommendations?
