I was stupid lucky the other day when hunting for villagers. Had a villager who moved out, empty plot, and I spent sixty nook mile tickets trying to find *any* villager from my list (and it is not a short list (24 villagers on it at the time), and I did not find any. I honestly gave up and hoped the autofill showed me mercy, and I went to the next day. Lo and behold, not only did the plot *not* autofill, but I had a visitor in my campsite, and who was it? Ankha. I do not know why it didn't autofill, and I do not care, because it gave me best cat. :)
