Call up web-based Planersoftware 3.0 for once: www.gealan.de/en/architects-designers/planersoftware/ (Click on “ACCESS TO PLANERSOFTWARE 3.0” and follow the steps)
Now you can Log-In in the Revit Plug-In

in GEALAN plansoftwar there is no glass report for cutting ?how we get exact glass size in GEALAN software?
What about us in the USA, it appears to not be available to people in the states.
Very interesting plugin and congrats to Gealan people. One thing is important though and should in my opinion be included in this family creation. The shutter box! Shutter boxes frequently come with windows ( at least in Europe) and when it happens that should be included in the project. So it would be very useful to see the shutter box that comes here as an option, with it’s dimensions and also the window tag that displays window dimension + shutter box height. Of course shutter box also eats part of the wall and affects the wall material quantities. If gealan incorporates this, what after all they have done so far, shouldn’t be a problem, these windows will be hard to beat. Thumbs up.
You can already plan the shutter box for the window or door in the Planersoftware 3.0. There will also be an update soon so that the shutter box is displayed correctly in Revit. So stay tuned!
Again looks like an awesome addition to the BIM family & Revit. Pity nothing like this down in Backwater Australia
Some of IGS libraries are OK, and most firms have just developed their own systems in absence of it (e.g. I sell mine to residential builders to cover the stegbar range). Revit isnt built well to handle windows unfortunately, really has no smarts beyond host wall and width/height/sill height.

You can find the exact glass size in the Planersoftware 3.0 under the point "Static". If you go to it you will find the glass dimensions on the bottom right.

This program looks like a game changer! Especially with performance info like U-values incorporated. Do you know if they make an imperial version? Also - can this populate a window schedule in Revit?
If it can populate a window/door schedule will be definitely a game changer
The windows and doors from our Plug-In are optimized for creating schedules. So try it out!
@@GEALANgroup amazing tool, however right now. im not sure if its a website error. it is no longer available. on the last step to register the program on your website to get license. it gives out a very large error. can you please fix this. i want to try your tool.

Great add in for 3D and really good work, BUT 2D plans has horrable look for architectural design (especially the elevations views is full of bugs and unnecessary lines)....so no gain at all, if you have to make the project twice
I'm getting an error when I try to register, and how much does thos cost, I think the program is free but do we have to pay for the elements created. This add-in loks like a absolute pleasure to use, so very eager to try.

please I would like to ask you a question about "Custom creating".
When I select any of predefined windows, doors, etc. when I insert it into Revit, there are type parameters "Outer Overlap ...".
However, when I create custom shape of window there are bit less type parameters and for instance "Outer Overlap" parameter is missing.
Could you help me with this please ? How can I create my custom shape window with Outer overlap parameter please ?
Can you explain how to place the blinds? They give a lot of error messages when placing the drawers over the windows, but I don't understand why. Tanks

From the beginning I assembled the Gealan windows and doors in the model and then tried to make a Gealan Project with a list of products, but they do not appear automatically, what would be the options to add existing Gealan windows and doors to the Gealan Project list specification?
You must first create a project in the Planersoftware 3.0 and use the windows and doors from the project in your Revit building model. You can then simply create your project specification list from this.

It’s really amazing! What about slanted windows and windows at different angles? Have you examples how to do that ?
You can find this kind of windows in the class "Special variants". Also you can use the "Free structure" function to create any window shape yourself. Take a look at this Tutorialvideo: ruclips.net/video/Mwyapqjqnvk/видео.html

I have installet GEALAN Plug-In for Revit and I have successfully registered in settings then when I go to create new elements I get a coplete blank page
@balkanarchitect - I'm in South Africa. Downloaded and Installed the plugin. Cant access the planner website though and thus resulting in not being able to log in. Is this not offered in South Africa? Plus its not on the list of countries but I selected International 🤔
I'm facing the same problem. Did you manage to sort this out?
Flipping a window is absolutely not ok since you are changing a type value (swing direction) for an instance of the family. They should not use that flip function in the family, only the rotate function could be useful because the swing direction will stay the same.
Awesome plugin and demo! Is there a way to modify the door/ window swing symbolic line direction (opening lines) in ELEVATIONS without editing the families after placement? (i.e., if we need the symbolic lines to converge at the HINGE side instead of the HANDLE side). Can't seem to find an option in the plugin to do so. Thanks!

So useful! I have a question, once i import the window to my model, the glass panel doesnt look transparent and i can´t change the materiality of it. Any hints as to why that's happening?
The glass of the windows corresponds to the glass of Revit windows. But you can also customize the glass. Look for the material "Window Glass" in the Revit materials and change it.

Can you make solid panel door or flush door ?
How about louver window or aluminum door with louver?
You can make many different door types but only in PVC. Test it yourself.
Any idea how to make a horizontal tilt window that opens like a normal window, which has the hinge at the top, in our country windows dont open with a hinge at the bottom and there is no flip buttons that I can find.
How do you turn off the window swing direction in the floorplan view ? I don't want this to be shown

This plugin is really game changing and I have a feeling its the only one of its kind, at least that I found of. I do have a question: Did you manage to choose a black color for the framing? If i choose anything but the white PVC it gives me an error about the size. I was also not able to change the material directly inside the family.
Changing the color affects the maximum sizes of the element. It is therefore possible that you will receive a notification here. If you click on the error, the size chart will open.
@@GEALANgroup Thanks for reply. Why does the maximum size changes? You cannot produce black frames of that size? I wanted to same profile and structure but just black color.
@@Constantinesis Each window is limited in size. Even more so with colored windows, because of the physical properties such as thermal expansion. You are welcome to contact GEALAN staff, we will help you with your issue.

You can´t create steel windows with the Planersoftware 3.0. But you can choose Profils with aluminium cover.
Balkan Architect, I know I am asking for a different content, but can you help me add Hindi and Kannada fonts (national and local) languages of India in Revit. Can we use it in model text?

Curtain wall systems are better there, given most commercial glazing is aluminum framed suites.
Not working, after succesfully register, and after clicking on "Access to PlanerSoftware 3.0", it only shows the DEMO button. After that, there is another interface that doesn't get to anywhere.

As far as I know Revit LT doesn't have an option for plug-ins.

Unfortunately once families are purged they're gone - can't get them back. You could try retrieving a backup of the model using rollback if working off a server/central model, or via cloud backup if on BIM360.
How about corner windows? They're not working for revit whatsoever. You can't change "install depth" and other attributes. Other windows are ok that are just plain.
