I've experienced waves like this not easy to handle at all good work from all sea captains involved really looking forward to seeing more of this content definitely going to subscribe
I live i australia and this is your best so far and yes i fish in the ocean too and yu can never underestimate the power of the sea tell us where you are 😊

I am sure you have the formula dailed in.. I just know what I see from Stella and the handling of the vessel compared to other vessels.. I know in Surf Launching Cavitation play's a big role.. I have no idea how your four blade props will handle the increase of bubbles in the white water.. what I see is what a comment on.. Yes their is a lot of science behind choosing the right propeller for a vessel, but their is also a lot of personal preference in play.. the main aim is to have the motors top out at full rpm as soon as possible in an acceleration.. bit this has to be tested in the white foam of a breaking wave as you will see in today's video with Vyfster and Sidestep vs C Angel and Astrix.. C Angel is a 22 ft Yield Cat and both Side Step and Astrix is 21ft V Cats. With Astrix the trim is set to nose light and with Side Step it's a very head down bullish approach.. on the Launching vídeos you can see Astrix is way more nimble than Side Step. Vyfster is a 24ft Z Craft and Free Spirit is a 27ft Carry Cat. Vyfster had 2 x 130 Four stroke motors on and Free Spirit has 2x 200 HP motors on. This means that Free Spirit can have a much larger pitch prop than Vyfster which makes Free Spirit quicker on the get away in the white foam... As with Stella with the 2 x150 Motors with 23" Counter Rotating Props. Anyway. .. If Graig Yield is reading this he could very well answer your question why they don't use 4 Blade Props on vessels that need to have extremely tight turning circles and increased agility and of the bat get away speed... Me I am a humble Photographer that love boats since I was 9 years old but fell into a rabbit hole after 1986
Over Powered.. which Vessel? These vessels follow SAMSA regulations to the T.. All of them are within the prescribed weight and power limits of the manufacturer specifications.. So none of these vessels are "Over Powered".. It's a pigment of peoples imagination that vessels in South Africa can be legally over Powered!!
But yes . with the amount of stupidity roaming the world you will find someone flexing and probably add to much power and weight.. sadly we have to enforce common sense through regulations
Thank you for posting these amazing films Petrus and Pardette, big boats and big waves truly outstanding.Ballina australia.

Was n rowwe launch
In regards to propellors 4blade is the way to go better accelleration holds beetter in a sea better in a following sea more control regards😊
We have noticed that with Stella 23" Counter Rotating Props has a very stable effect on the 22 ft Yield Cat

Gelukkig was ek nog nooit so lus vir visvang nie.
Over powered. Is that possible?

@@PetrusandPardette you were saying on that second boat someone had said it was over powered. I was asking if that's a thing?
Nope.. it's not.. people trying to exert their experteze over the Governing Body's years of monitoring and managing the scenario

@@PetrusandPardette I've never seen beach launch like the way you guys do it. Really cool
