- “In the past two weeks, they’ve taken a very heavy blow. Their leadership has been decimated.”
Hezbollah has been significantly weakened by Israel’s "major escalation" of strikes on Lebanon, says Hunter Williamson, a journalist based in Beirut.

No force would have been needed to protect Lebanon if they hadn't attacked Israel in the first place. They brought it on themselves.
not Lebanon bro, hezbo don't represent Lebanon
@@diorocks5858 If only that was really true. Sadly it isn't. They represent the Lebanese people as much as any government represents its population. Its sad but the Lebanese government and society let Hezbolla in and let themselves get used as pawns to attach and taunt Israel for decades. Now they are having to deal with the consequences
Israel has decimated Hezbollah so far, without a single boot being in Lebanon.
Chris Parry is a breath of fresh air, a man who has a real grasp of the situation. Well done Israel you are a true nation of warriors, unlike the flaccid and hopeless leadership and military we have in the west. Stay safe and good luck.
People seem to forget that Hezbollah have no business being in Lebanon in the first place. The Lebanese government would love to kick them out but their own military is weak in comparison while the Iranians (sorry I meant to say Hezbollah) are militarily well armed and buried deeper than a tick into Lebanese society and politics.
Beirut used to be considered the 'Paris of the Eastern Mediterranean' they were a largely Christian country with top class universities , beautiful architecture and and a peaceful life. Within a generation it was all gone.
In 1920 my grandfather was in the Royal Navy, they docked in Beirut and wouldn't let anyone ashore, too dangerous . 2017 Admiral Kuznetzsov with wife's relis on board docked in Latakia, wouldn't let anyone ashore, too dangerous
Naim Qassem is Yiddish for "you're next".
It should have been obvious to anyone and everyone that Israel is successful when it goes on the offense, which it should have done a long time ago. Of course, the world never lets them actually win a war, claiming humanitarian concerns and the like. Considering they never say a peep about Sudan, for instance, which has a much longer and deeper crisis, with 10 million people displaced, their hypocrisy and double standards can be safely ignored. Fortunately Israel is showing the resolve, strength and determination in doing so.
I assume the attacked group is less popular now...
Chris has the best analysis I've heard so far.
Lebanese Christians should help Israel. Israel will save Lebanon sovereignty!
"Wider war" 😂
They've efficiently cleaned house while *Iran is crickets*
Where does the Times find these kids? Don't they have better sources? Williamson is 8 years out of junior college. Come on, get someone with experience and contextual history.
Decimated means, to split into ten
A biased reporter - typical
So my thing is how do you defeat an ideology. There are others who will step up
Good question. The islamo fascists are bully thugs. They others their supporters will see it gets them nowhere perhaps
