I really can not thank you enough for your very educational videos
That is an excellent video and saved me a day. I did not realize I have to set up CPU time in the Device configuration. I even went to Siemens forum to see the problem. There are a whole bunch of answers to make things complicated. Nobody over there mentioned to configure the CPU time in the device configuration. Thank you again.

Nice explanation. Just now I subscribed your channel. I just want to know that, can we synchronize the time in PLC with the time in HMI. Means HMI time should be overwritten in PLC time. So that we can adjust PLC time from HMI. I searched for this kind of video on your channel, but could not find. If you have already video on this, can you send the link please?

Just a comment ( because I have surch one hour): on my system it was lokking a bit like "appling time of PC" to the PLC set the UTC time and then the Local time was wrong..... It was because my PC has given a wrong time zone to TIA portal...and in addition it was not possible to change the time zone on the PC till TIA was ON. After that it works as in your video. And by the way thanks again for your video.
Does the PLC clock deviate from the global time iver the course of its lifetime ? If so what is the way to sync it?
ISO 8601 uses the 24-hour clock system: I would never choose AM/PM just because of Americans who never use international metric systems...
I think when you compile a safety plc program, it records the utc time or system time. Is there a way to make it record the local time instead of the system time?

So i have a PLC with 3 Network Ports 2 X1 192.x X2 192.x (Both internal Robot and other Stuff) and X3 10.x (Network with timesource) i want to use NTP on X3 but i can only set NTP on X1 or X2. How would you do it ? switch cables\Ips between X1or2 to with 3 or how whould this be done ?
