Et ce que vous n'entendrez pas dans toute retransmission TV ou vidéo, c'est la respiration, le souffle du violoniste, qui à chaque phrase musicale, gonfle ses poumons à fond et souffle en fin de phrase le rythme, la pulsation, la dernière ou première note.
C'est seulement si vous êtes assis au premier rang et à seulement 2 mètres du violoniste et face à lui, que vous pourrez entendre cette profonde respiration entre les notes, comme un Génie qui souffle de son air divin sur ses doigts, tantôt pour les pousserr jusqu'au fond de son manche du violon vers les cordes vides du Sol, ou Ré, ou La, vers Mi.
tantôt inspirant l'air, aspirant dans une danse ses doigts, la course tendue vers la plus haute note du corps résonnant du bois. Un vent qui soulève la danse des feuilles-notes.
En attendant, écoutez et bon moment de silence et de bonne solitude dans ce monde où 3 milliards d'êtres sont confinés. Rendez-vous au paradis des Oiseaux aigüs, des Geais bleu des chênes, des Rouge-Gorges et des pinsons blanc, au paradis des feuilles graves et des ruisseaux qui suintent entre les herbes et les roses…. car tout est dans l'imaginaire et tout dans la respiration !

Timothy Chooi et Stella Chen ne sont pas comparables, ils n’ont pas le même jeu. Stella est plus brillante, plus flamboyante, plus classique, plus régulière, mais à mon avis aussi un rien plus conventionnelle, ce qui a le don de plaire aux jurés de tout poil. Timothy est plus subjectif, plus subtil, plus irrégulier aussi, plus sensible, plus inattendu, il fait redécouvrir l’œuvre en prenant des risques (ce que le public adore) alors que Stella fait la synthèse de choses existantes, avec certes grand talent (ce dont les jurys raffolent). Sur le plan instrumental avantage Stella, dont je préfère le son royal, sur le plan musical avantage Timothy, qui me surprend davantage, compte tenu du nombre incalculable de fois où j’ai entendu ce concerto. Un nième avatar de « public vs jury » comme dans le patinage artistique!
