    Thanks for those huge tidbits no one else mentioned. For the innocent nineteen year old young man on board, I hope he lives.

    Fire on board or power failure responsible for not sending for help makes complete sense. Thank you, no one has mentioned that before.

    If they had 2 cnode transponders on the sub they would have been found by now No matter what. One primary and one backup. We use that on our rovs all the time. Why there has been No mention of transponders on the sub baffles me..........

    • @JTScott1988
      @JTScott1988 Год назад +2

      There wasn’t one.
      The man who built it funded it and ultimately drove it here… he refused to have it inspected and work with the industry on ensuring it had everything regulatorily necessary.

    Why that submersible was greenlit to be allowed to take in live humans, I will never understand. I'm hoping for the best but things aren't looking good..

    • @sunshineravens
      @sunshineravens Год назад +1

      It was only greenlit by the company running it. No official certification. And since they were diving in international waters, there were no laws against doing that.

    • @JTScott1988
      @JTScott1988 Год назад +1

      It wasn’t.
      The man who built it also funded it and also was the captain.
      He did it all himself.
      The industry did NOT allow this. He’s a billionaire so uh…

      If they are found alive, two things will happen to that man, he will be sued of everything and his company will be destroyed.

    Whether or not you care about the people on board, (because a lot of people I keep seeing in comments sections over the last few days have so little Humanity that they think that these people deserve to die simply because they want to see the Titanic like literally everyone fucking else has ever had an interest in her does), you got to admit from any point of rationality;
    The Fallout from this is going to fuck up so much with diving, as well as the future of Titanic itself.

    Finding something this small and recover it in 96 hours without a transponder to locate it requires winning the lottery luck...........
