I miss the previous version. I was a lazy vats user so lock on and done. Now my ap runs out so I need to boost it with items (I know easy enough but I'm lazy). Is it just me or does it seem like vats accuracy has gone down as well? I swear I'm getting fewer hits than before.
ticket to revenge pre nerfed version is really the goat, I really have any god roll variant and yet the ticket to revenge outpetforms them all due to the additional 15% crit perk in combination with the 55% less vat cost for crit perk imo it makes every second shot a crit
In my experience, I’ve switched out my Q2525 RR for my Q2525 Fixer which hits harder with stealth and commando perks … before the update, this wasn’t close … the RR was stronger for everything …
you have to do the quest again to get the version you see in this video so basicly if you got the ticket too revenge on your main character you have to do the quest again on one of your alts to get this bloodied version again which is just beyond stupid IMO.
Yeah idk I'm a fairly new player and just unlocked the Ticket to Revenge. I'm not even a Bloodied build and the thing absolutely dominates. I still think at close range the Enclave Flamer Plasma is better.
@@TJutin Pretty sure auto axe outstrips anything by a long way rn, though I think the explosive gauss mini has overtaken the flamers since the holy fire was nerfed and it benefits greatly from explosive (yes even on bosses)
Two shot is decent upfront dmg on a rail but falls hard after the first mag since it’s only 10 shots. Not many enemies will make it past the first two tho!
@ it’s really great I use it to clean up scorched, ghouls, liberator mk0s etc. usually it’s my pest patrol gun and it quickly melts whatever I’m firing at. Beforehand I had a mutants explosive with full mutations and it was good but this one is great for VATS personally it’s good but I’d rather have anti armor explosive
0:45 no the old DPS railway was the Q2525 its was way better then the Q5025 because you were hiting faster so means geting more crits faster.. so before the nerf Q2525 was the king
soo with your method you are either calculating dps for no reload or specifically one reload and two mags if you just use the time you need for one mag + its reload that's the actual dps over time since you always have one mag per reload. in practice one mag dps is probably realistic for mobs but on bosses you will surely take longer, using a metric which is extendable infinitely in time makes the most sense to me. for example the proper time to divide the damage one mag does by for the Q5025 would be around 10.33 (not very accuracte but you could get it close with your editing software) this is from the start of shooting to when its reloaded. This would come out to about 443 dps for the Q5025 just copying your damage values. If you want to get these projectable DPS values from the data you already have you can get your time by subtracting the time for one mag without a reload from those with two mags and one reload each that should be very close to the actual number, best way to measure this would actually be to do a long string of emptying mags with reloading and dividing that by the amount of mags in order to minimize the effect of the measuring error but I'd say your data is good enough fro comparison. Just to be clear, still a great high effort video, just thought genuine feedback would be appropriate for this kind of video ^^ EDIT: so for the long term metric I proposed the rankings change as follows: 1. E : 521,35 dps 2. FFR: 443,48 dps 3. 50c: 399,44 dps 4. TtR: 376,44
Hi how do you fire the rail way to get crital hit every other shot …do you hold traingle down or tap it as you fire or just keep it ptressed down all the time while you fire I’m confused
There’s a bug right now might be a overall weapon bug not sure since I haven’t really tested it out but when I use a weapon with weapon speed and switch over to my railway it keeps the weapon speed from the other gun so most of the time I’m running a quad explosive with weapon speed
@@TJutin it is true just not sure how it’s activated for now I try using a weapon with weapon speed in my favorites then I switch to my railway not sure what exactly prompts it maybe a quick switch from the favorites do it but I’m not sure
as long as the effect on the gun is not bloodied the rankings stay the same and if it is bloodied you already know that will be less damage than a gun with any effect that works non bloodied so there really is no need
OK, but how exactly was the Q50 considered the 'King of DPS'? I haven’t seen a single video comparison where it actually outperformes the Q25 in terms of dps, and my personal experience is similar
Agility will give you more action points. It’s not the worst effect. But I’d highly recommend getting a less vats cost mod (vats optimized) and replacing the 3rd star with it
Ticket of revenge is the best right now… cuz bloody effect on it and the 20 bullets….. it would be awesome if we can add legendary effects like the rest of weapons… and definitely will be more amazing if they add a magazine modification to the railway rifle…because regardless of everything bloody stouthearted best…
That's not quite correct, the DPS from one magazine of a Quad is the same as two magazines from Ticket to Revenge. Two Quad magazines is four TtR magazines... so the DPS will drop off massively due to the reload time Adter the update I used my TtR, Q/50/25 and a Q/Ex for a couple of hours on everything from mole miners, to Scorch Beasts, with all manner of things in-between and the Q/50/25 was noticeably better than the TtR due to the reloading and took fewer rounds to take down a scorch beast Faster Fire Rate is almost a Curse now because it burns through your AP faster. I'd rather do more damage per round and be able to target more enemies that take down fewer, but faster... the "best" weapon is not just about DPS
From my testing Q2525: 54(base) 153(crit) you get 20 of each = 4140dmg 1 mag. Takes ~6.24sec to empty = 663 dps Ttr: 89(base) 196(base) you get 10 of each = 2850dmg 1 mag. Takes 4sec to empty = 712dps I agree anything after 1 mag ttk drops off.
"Boss killer" and "Mob killer" should be seperate category, as dps only really matters vs raid bosses and enemies that survive the mag. Because target swapping will lower dps in reality. The Q/XP has the added benefit of being direct fire / hitscan, which is a nice benefit of 'feel' even if the actual dps isn't there. Time to kill and mobs killed per time matter more when dealing with multiple targets with limited hp pools. Honestly dps is misleading when its not a raid boss or even mid boss (SB, MLQ, Ogua, Werewolves, etc). There's very few enemies that don't require target switching. How many enemies and how much target switching you need to do will greatly affect your actual final dps. You don't shoot literal walls after all.
My personally favorite mobbing weapon is the auto enclave rifle. Typically you are right I have weapons that are dedicated to mobbing and others for bossing

I have an opinion that many will not like: I like what they did to the railway rifle! Let me explain: I use a QE railway now, OUTSIDE of VATS. I do not like using vats a lot, it makes me feel like I am cheating. The Railway outside of vats is powerful! With the changes, the recoil was lessened. If you put the recoil reducing stock, and keep the barrel short it can easily be used outside of VATS. Try it! I like to go in 3rd person when I'm rolling as my "Shock & Awe" Commando, due to the smoke/steam that comes off that bad boy. Seriously, I drop supermutants with like 3-5 shots, depending on level and adrenaline. Super fun gun now. Side note...I am all about realism, and it is realistic that an automatic steam powered gun would shoot slower than an AK (handmade).
I am in different on the nerfs. I was never a huge rail guy. Only really used it when I needed to kill something quick like a Earle or a daily op boss. Lucky weapon itself is still strong and viable
@@TJutin Do yourself a favor then (you might end up liking it now) Get your hands on a QE, short barrel, recoil reduction stock, Railway Rifle. Equip your commando build (make sure you have ground pounder at least 2 stars), and run over to Westek, go into third person view and smoke some super mutants. You will enjoy yourself!
Don't be that guy. Let other players tag them as well so that they also get the XP. There's nothing more annoying than the one person who kills everything before anyone has time to tag.
What often set 50c above ffr was issues with hit registration on the servers. FFR and explosive have always been buggy on busy servers. Now if you are lucky and on a private server AND physically near a Bethesda server cluster FFR (if you aren't running all crit food buffs) pulls ahead. The way crit is calculated it gains value as you get more crit buffs. It is a bit silly to test boss dps without running full buffs.
@@Average1212 you're nuts, my ffr25v UGL/GP/Minigun registers fine even in pub servers. ive noticed serious HP rubberbanding issues with multiprojectile explosive weapons though. it used to be present but went away and came back again. rails are fine in terms of hit registration even FFR. 50c is cope and if you were one of those who bought into the 50c25v hype, you're missing out on 15r, 25v is pretty much a dead star on most commando weapons except a certain few quads or energies. explosive effect registration is better than 50c btw. projectiles turn into hitscan rather than the ordinary slow travelling railway spike. there's more utility in owning an explosive rail than a mediocre 50c that works only with crit shots.

The hit registration issues are well documented and known, Just because you don't experience them does not mean a huge portion of the community does not. On top of that explosive is only useful as a mob killing gun as bosses have reduced damage from explosive weapons. 50c is a boss killer, it only pulls ahead when you crit stack all the crit buffs. Are there times when an explosive is better, yea any time you aren't killing a boss with full buffs.

FFR makes the gun much more snappy n reactive. 50c is absolute dogshit theres no justification even with maxed out crit buffs. FFR means more crits in a shorter time and with 33 luck its basically a crit every other shot so FFR synergizes VERY well. at least with explo, projectiles hit IMMEDIATELY making hit registration easier on the servers for some reason.
I hate how this game is rigged to make bloodied the only build to work toward. I'd like to see all builds made viable. Same with the weapons. Why not a good pistol build.
I actually got tired of having like 4-8 players just sitting at spawns in events so I made 2 of each of a two shot last shot missile launcher, quantum thirst zapper, and fat man now I'm getting hate mail welp sucks to suck doesn't it.
It didn't make any sense to nerf the railway, this is actually a double nerf. The first nerf being the heavy to carry ammo trade off. The Q25 15 was my go to but as of now it's worthless to carry anymore. The heavy ammo should have been taken into consideration & the weight of it lowered to balance the nerf. Completely over looked & lazily implemented.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize Quad is king. Bloodied and Anti armor have little to no effect on bosses. It's all about how the weapon performs prior to adding legendary mods.
You started off correct but then you fell off the cliff when you said bloodied and AA have little to no effect on bosses 😂 You think if Bloodied and AA had a quad size clip then the Quad would still be better? The point in this test is because the ticket to revenge has 20 clip size and is bloodied so way more damage and double the clip size so it brings it closer to the dps of a quad for that reason. Let’s also not forget crits are nerfed with bosses so the dps between quad and bloodied in this instance are even closer still.. quad needs crits, bloodied not as much.. so when you do crit on a boss with bloodied, it’s going to deal much more than a quad NOW in comparison to previously

With the old Furious one, it's a visual bug, the legendary effects are still there but aren't displayed.
I have a quad railway with FFS and -25% AP cost. Feels IDENTICAL to the pre-patch railway. 10/10 recommend.

I have a bloodied, explosive, break slower Rail way and it still shreds anything I shoot at.

I noticed that some weapons like B2525 Fixer, will actually do more damage when you test them on bosses out of VATS 🤔

You know, I use a Two Shot, 25Faster, 25APC railway rifle that works like a charm. It’s fully automatic and with every weapon mod and I recommend it

Hi! I hold down triangle. You need critical savy rank 3 and I believe 32 or 33 luck to trigger a crit every other hit

I got lucky at a SBQ last night. Quad, 25% weapon speed, and 15% crit fill railway rifle. Thinking of trading or selling it.
If you wanted to you could slap a vats optimized mod on it and have a beast of a weapon.

Yes they reworked how critical dmg works and the amount of weak point dmg you do. It changed with the new seasons launch

With a proper APR set you regenerate your full ap bar during the reload, so as long as you have enough ap to empty the mag it is irrelevant.

None of the rails are stealth weapons. They all break stealth.

I’ve always thought 25ffr was better. The big nerf was the critical hits not bypassing bosses dmg reduction.

It didn't make any sense to nerf the railway, this is actually a double nerf. The first nerf being the heavy to carry ammo trade off. The Q25 15 was my go to but as of now it's worthless to carry anymore. The heavy ammo should have been taken into consideration & the weight of it lowered to balance the nerf. Completely over looked & lazily implemented.
The best gun in the game was nerfed to be..... still the best gun in the game 🤷♂️
Rail is still a very good weapon but I agree the ammo makes it annoying to have this as a daily work horse
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize Quad is king. Bloodied and Anti armor have little to no effect on bosses. It's all about how the weapon performs prior to adding legendary mods.

This game is over 4 years old. There's been several tests. Quad is king.

You started off correct but then you fell off the cliff when you said bloodied and AA have little to no effect on bosses 😂
You think if Bloodied and AA had a quad size clip then the Quad would still be better?
The point in this test is because the ticket to revenge has 20 clip size and is bloodied so way more damage and double the clip size so it brings it closer to the dps of a quad for that reason.
Let’s also not forget crits are nerfed with bosses so the dps between quad and bloodied in this instance are even closer still.. quad needs crits, bloodied not as much.. so when you do crit on a boss with bloodied, it’s going to deal much more than a quad NOW in comparison to previously
