Only a few nicknames of the Etudes are widely used, such as Op.10 No.12, which is nicknamed "Revolutionary."
Imagine what went inside of Chopin's head while creating all of these masterpieces... It really makes me wonder what kind of person he was... and he died so young :( ♡
I've listened to this recording ever since I was a kid and I didn't get any other versions until I was an adult. It's so ingrained into my brain that it's actually difficult to hear other version without wanting to go back to this version. I simply cannot get enough of Pollini's Etudes. He's my favorite for Chopin's Etudes. I remember working hours on the Revolutionary etude. It's so much fun to play and even nicer when your fingers finally remember where to go without you thinking about it. I recommend every piano player give these a try. They are a great exercise and you'll turn heads with Chopin's amazing music. Enjoy!
you all probably dont give a damn but does anyone know of a method to log back into an Instagram account..? I was stupid forgot my account password. I would love any assistance you can offer me!
@Maverick Immanuel thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
This is absolutely incredible. Playing one of these etudes anywhere near as well as Pollini plays all 12 here, is an absolute achievement for most. Here I am just finally being able to play through no 4 from this set after almost a year of learning it haha
The Waterfall etude Op.10 no.1 is according to me the most difficult etude of the Chopin and Liszt etudes ... Lot of endurance required, with your right hand giving out..
Must be fun for serious pianists to memorise the 'arpeggio' study Op 10 No.11. I'd say very daunting. For me 'Tristesse' Op 10 No.3 and 'Revolutionary' Op 10 No.12 are the pick of Chopins Op.10 etudes. Absolute classics !

Torrent? Can you please give me the definition of this word? :D
Torrent is an italian word. It means " little river"
4:27 - 4:42 the most beautiful thing I've ever heard !
Some of the hardest pieces of the standard concert piano repertoire played beautifully!

Pollini at his very best, Chopin in his very best.
MAESTOSO!
hermosoo, las voces muy demarcadas, sutil!!
Absolute top.
Your Lie in April made me come here. Beautiful music melting my stress away is keeping me here.
The Waterfall etude Op.10 no.1 is according to me the most difficult etude of the Chopin and Liszt etudes ... Lot of endurance required, with your right hand giving out..
Op 10 no 2 is very challenging too, it requires an insane level of finger independence.
21:35 one of the best parts in op 10
¡ Asombroso !

wow excellently played
I like Etudes No. 1,2,4,8, and 10.
I also like Etude Op.10 No.7
I think I can play No. 1 as good as Pollini, well the left hand maybe.
Of course. Any 5-year old child can do as well as Pollini.
What is the edition of this music sheet?
