There's new low-profile switches available now and you can have them marked. As previously stated: flexible panels don't last- go with rigid panels 2 inches off the roof. 2 sok 206 amp hr lithium iron phosphate would weigh less and give you more usable power. Loved the interior.
Another great unbiased review. I agree with your likes and dislikes. In particular I don’t like the unmarked capacitive touch buttons but WOW I love those tank gauges. If they are as accurate as they look and don’t give inaccurate readings (like 99% of RVs) then for sure I want them in my trailer. We really need a larger camper but that thing is awesome. It’s funny how the little things really matter to different people.
I really like the information you give on RV’s. You make good points on the Black Series Camper. Have you ever made a video on the protection packages and extended warranty packages offered by RV dealers? Are they needed and worth the money spent?
1st comment on the star of your video. If there was a spray hose water connection with a hook to hang the hose on to spray off the step entering the RV. I don’t agree with your suggestion because it would 1st get the step wet and a slip hazard along with making a puddle of water in the step area. Then you depending on if camping on a stone or dirt surface then you would be tracking mud into the Rv along with getting any mat or Rv rug wet creating a mess. I would rather have a mud room mat outside to place shoes on and then have some type of broom available. Just my 2 cents. 🤣
The little guy max and nucamp have the same type of windows and screens, which are great. It would be great to have a Froli System on the bed to get air under the mattress.
I agree with you on most things on this trailer, but not the windows. I want the screen in place whenever opening or closing the window- I hate bugs bothering me in bed.
On the windows, I would put the shade coming up from the bottom and not down fro the top. Would not change the wind issue you addressed, but would make better privacy at night. Now the question, do you think the larger 200, or 250 amp hour batteries you installed in your 5th wheel would fit in this unit?
Thanks for the review. What I don't like about it is the cabinetry, I don't like the formica, and the color combination and they could have upgraded to wood grain. That shinny white seems cheap looking but maybe it's different in person.
I wouldn’t say overbuilt… I’d say just built right. This RV has an off grid purpose and they built it right from the ground up. It’s only rare because 90% of manufacturers focus on light weight, mass production and saving money in the process. Hense cut corners everywhere. There used to be a fifth wheel company called Lifestyle RV that just simply built them right, and they went out of business. Most Consumers didn’t appreciate doing it right. They appreciated saving money while hooking up a 30+ foot trailer to a half ton… Most RVs have IKEA quality interiors and near maxed out chassis.
Great review. I dont know why they changed the interior. It looks so much cheaper vs. the grey interior with the Diamond stitch leather is a much nicer and the interior looked so much better and less cheap. I dont find the new interior flows.
Does anyone know if an electric brake system can be installed on the BS-Q19 trailer for greater safety on the road? In the videos I have not seen that it has them, except for the parking brakes. Thank you.
With the AC on the inverter, while possible that unit doesn't have nearly enough solar or battery capacity to reasonably use it. Currently full-time in my 5th wheel and rarely plugged in, they would need roughly 3600w worth of panels just for the AC assuming it's running about 1/3rd of the time and the panels are mounted flat with good sun. I've run 1 of my AC's on my 5kw inverter and it's capable of it, but at 1100w of solar and 400amp/hrs of batts it can't handle it for enough time to be useful.
I also love the shades… but wish they were reversed. I’d like to be able to say block the view from the bottom up, but leave a few inches at the top for screen, breeze, and to look out.
All that home entertainment stuff is wasted. We all have our preferred system. Mine is IEMs and a player. Even Bluetooth. Why do you prefer 12v over 110 plugged into the inverter? What would be the advantages? Is there room on the roof for four 400w panels? Is the generator diesel powered like the heater? I would like the option to have diesel.
Seems like all of the base storage areas are eaten up by utilities..furnace, entertainment, etc. Maybe a redesign to help minimize the space lost to these systems.
100% agree. You have to at least open up large user storage areas under the bed, and move the batteries and inverters to that 'jerry can' compartment next to the propane, and consolidate the water pumps and undersink plumbing filter to open the other compartment up. I'm sure there are more opportunities.
If what is visible about the wiring/plumbing is indicative of the way the rest of the coach is wired/plumbed, this is head and shoulders above anything else I've seen out of the RV Industry in the past 10 years. THIS is the way it's SUPPOSED to be done.
When you consider that Lithium batteries have twice the USABLE amp hours as a AGM, Two lithiums could replace those four AGMs. They really should consider that. People don't realize that a 100ah AGM really only has 50ah of usable power. So that battery bank is really just 200ah of usable power. 2 Battle Borns could do the same job
I hope you do a review on the HQ21 next! Great content i been watching these for a min now each years version have gotten better. But I don’t know which is better the HQ19 or HQ21???

A removable weather tech type floor mat would’ve been better than that carpet stuff.
This trailer is the top of my list.
Still want this rig! Love the videos on this trailer.
I wanted this rig before your video, but now I really want it. It's probably going to happen this coming spring.
Damn it. I'm supposed to be working right now.
Excellent presentation. Thanks.

I'm glad there are lots off rv's to choose from because I don't share your love for this thing.
Very nice! I agree wholeheartedly with your comments.
I hope they take the criticism as I believe you intend it to be constructive a few little changes and I would definitely buy one

Had a friend that had an rv with those cupboard hinges. They come apart overtime with use. The van was a Leisure.....
I agree. The cabinet door latches on the 2019 and 2020 models were FAR superior.

While it looks great the white material on cushions is a really impractical color choice in my mind.
Can you please post what Black Series says in your response to your feedback

Looks like they should have made the Bluetooth controls exterior, similar to the heat controls
I love this 😀 ❤
How does the washing machine work?
No mention of it in the review.
Great video thanks.

I like the switches.

Is it possible to install a generator? Love the channel!

I really wish this was 100% off grid. I'd be a customer if it were. Do the lights on the tank panel shine while you are sleeping?
Is there a privacy curtain between the queen and the rest of the unit?

Is this towable with a 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT with a 3.0 liter Duramax Diesel and trailering package? Thx.
Size-wise, etc., would it be possible for an owner to replace the batteries with lithium batteries?
I also love the shades… but wish they were reversed. I’d like to be able to say block the view from the bottom up, but leave a few inches at the top for screen, breeze, and to look out.
The fact that you can't run the AC off the battery is nuts I wonder if you can do an aftermarket upgrade
It would take a lot more batteries, heavier wiring and solar cells to run just the AC. Instead by a fan from Home Depot.
Can just use whisk broom to get rid of sand on outside step.
great video how loud is the AC? I saw a HQ 15 that sparked some interest.

Can you show us the roof? What’s the roof material?

Is it “winter” capable?

Come to think of it, the money they'd save with a 12v fridge would likely cover it.
Are these trailers full time capable or more designed for short term camping trips?
I guess you could use it for both, but short time would be our preference. Space needs are different for different people.
youre supposed to put a door mat on that entry
Cool video
Don't like having to open the screens to open or close the windows.
Make one!
I hope you do a review on the HQ21 next! Great content i been watching these for a min now each years version have gotten better. But I don’t know which is better the HQ19 or HQ21???
I just bought an HQ21 and live not to far from PINS…
@@donkingdonkey4764 how do you like it compared to the hq19
Wish you would have shown the bathroom.
I did in my full tour video
The curtains look annoying. Are they?
👍👍👍
This trailer was designed to be off grid and everything should work off grid whether it be solar or propane but everything should work off grid. Jmo
4 AGMs in something that expensive?!
no vent on the AC hard to beleive ???
Not really needed
For $90,000.00 your not getting much
Is this guy a knit picker or what ???
It’s cute! Just too military to me. No offence.
What I have found on line is that these are made in China? I’ll stick with US made.
In other words NO storage at all
Small Tanks. Not all season; no or little insulation. These rigs make no sense. So much lost potential.
Be nice not to hear "y'all" in every paragraph. Lost me over than in the first minute.
Boy it gets annoying with you waving your hands in front of the camera the whole video.
Got it. Next video will show 3% less hand movement
