The thing about second chances is, it cant just be words. If he would of shown up sober, apologized go his daughter and op for that matter about failing them and actively started trying to fix himself, rehab, aa meetings and actually started to turn his life around with actions, then and only then could a second chance conversation be held. But instead he did none of that, he doubled down and got worse, so no. He did not deserve a second chance. Girlfriend should go without saying. She is just as bad, if not worse.
