Great performances all around. Bing Crosby could croon, but the musicians were fire, and Louis Armstrong is legend for a reason.

This is one of my favorite movies mainly because of Frank Sinatra and Grace Kelly but I love LouIs Armstrong “Satchmo” in this one too! This movie is a remake of The Philadelphia Story starring Cary Grant, Katharine Hepburn, and Jimmy Stewart! I like both movies! High Society is the same story just set to jazz music! ❤️❤️

I am very old, and I'm still not old enough to have heard this when it was new. Doesn't matter, big bands and jazz are timeless! Really enjoying your reactions to this great era!! Subscribed in anticipation of more!!

One of my favourite films. So many great performances.
If you like jazz - check out Postmodern Jukebox, where Scott Bradlee rearranges modern songs into other genres, including jazz, blues, swing, soul, gospel, rock & roll, etc..... Gunhild Carling's jazz performances for PMJ are especially worth looking up.

High Society and Robin and the 7 hoods are my favorite movies of all time and I even have the posters haha.Glad to see you enjoyed them. If you wanna go a little back you should check out Anchors Aweigh with Gene Kelly and Young Sinatra, they have killer showtunes.

Louis Armstrong carried New Orleans around in his back pocket 'cause he owned that sound.

Since you love Louis Armstrong, have you seen this piece with Danny Kaye doing "When the Saints Go Marching In"? It's a terrific bit of uplifting film.

Great! But there's a connection between Bing Crosby and the animated clip you showed. The song "Road to Rhode Island" is a parody of the theme song from the movie "Road to Morocco" which starred Bing Crosby, Bob Hope, and Dorothy Lamour. It was one of the many "Road" pictures the three of them made. Here's the original song: ruclips.net/video/V_w3UG6C_Mo/видео.html

For the longest time I've said I'd cover this song and now I think I might just do it, also I might do Rhapsody Le Pew after seeing your cute review of it, I don't usually reactors but you do t in such a charming way 🙂
You should also do Sammy Davis jr - Bang Bang from Robin and The Seven Hoods iconic performance as well
