Awesome comparison man 👍Definitely agree. I've been saying this for the longest time, Variations sounds great mid-volume, but destroys your ears when you try to turn it up. I think thinness is likely due to the combination of the mid-bass scoop + a lot of treble air, and volume scaling is probably because of crossovers you mentioned as well as the overall tuning that makes it hard to scale (forward vocals, no mid-bass, lots of treble).
Moondrop products are reverse polarity design for their house sound. If you try to reverse 2 pin of the cable , earloop become outside will become normal polarity. You will get more focus sound & powerful bass. I prefer normal polarity than moondrop original reverse polarity.
I feel like I have a different Oracle from you 😆.I love the wide subwoofer like bass, beautiful glide from midbass to lower midrange, this wet deep wide midrange you have been talking about, smooth greatly blended treble.. anyway love your reviews🙋♂️👍💯
Btw I have here also Zetian Wu and I understand all the problems of this earphone like certain mushiness(is that a word?😂😎) and slightly cheap driver but the tuning is for me completely addictive for some reason...✌️ 😁 btw you should get Symphonium Meteor
@@realaudioreviewshow is the oracle not as good? Per graph is a an oracle with better treble I’m sure the physicality of the bass per your description is more consistent and immediate, plus the implemented BAs probably give you a better pina contrast sound realistic sound
Supernova is the best, top and oracle mk1 are close. Top is most forward uppermids but lacks sweetness. Supernova has the smoothest treble which is perfect for vocals.
It’s much better than ie600, sounds more open, smoother treble, neutral bass, better midrange. Details seem to be about the same or supernova a little better.
Supernova sounds more correct. Sounds closer to the recording in the treble and Mids. M9 uses some psychoacoustics, m9 has more detail and better imaging at the expensive or sound too muddy. I still really like the m9 even though it’s not traditionally tuned. I’ll see if I can get performer 8
@@realaudioreviews How about owning the M9 and Variations together? I feel like the Variations has a magical "floaty" sound which I haven't heard in any other IEM, has great separation, and still has some midbass kick to my ear. The M9 sounds wider, barely though, and more lifelike. Do you agree? I'm not sure which one has more soundstage depth (being able to tell which instruments in an orchestra are closer or further away)
@@jasonbhatnagar7134 M9 has better layering and spacial cues than variations on orchestras. I don’t like how the variations treble sounds it feels wispy and lacks power compared to other parts of the FR. Imaging is much better on m9
I just ordered a pair of Supernovas! I'm excited for them to come in. In the meantime, how do these compare with the S8s? In terms of detail, bass, and tonality?
The tonality is much more natural on the supernova. Detail is on par with the s8. The bass quality seems slightly better on the supernova. Overall, the coherency, tonality, and timbre is much cleaner. I like the supernova more.
@@realaudioreviews thanks! I have a pair of S8s as well so I thought I’d ask about it as a comparison point. Though once the Supernovas come in I may sell them.
great presentation. thank you for posting this early, I thought the comparison will be weeks from yesterday's review. more power to your channel
Yea put in a little extra time :), glad you enjoyed it.
The helios and supernova🔥
Yesss🎆

Hi do you have cheaper alternative or somewhat give same experience like supernova? Mybe around $300?

Do you think the Supernova is a noticible upgrade from the EJ07M ?
For me yes. It has treble improvements, more layering. Ej07m has more bass similar to variations. I like supernova more
Hey bro how does the ier m7 compete ? I understand all of these are $200-300 more
M7 is outdated by now it’s muddy and warm
@@realaudioreviewsok thank you

Current Top 5 iems? Looking for upgrade from Moondrop aria 500-1200 recommendation?
Supernova, Helios, variations, oracle og, u12t. Depends, what are you looking for Vocals? Treble? Bass?
@@realaudioreviews For all Genres could I go with supernova or Helios? U12t is out of my budget

Great comparison! What tips do you use for the Helios?

Olina
Is that a stock cable on the supernova??
Nope, it’s the linsoul euphrosyne
you should do a cable review !!!!!
Which cable?
