Awesome sled. Don't worry about the haters. My wife learned how to ride on a 2011 ski doo 800 etec Summit. Pro RMK's are awesome and I'm sure you are loving it. We have a sled deck on an 8" lifted F350 and the first time loading them each year is a nerve wracking experience. You are right to be nervous.
why is there so much hate? like you have to start somewhere... how else are you ever going to learn loading? This just shows what kind of dicks some people can be... I'm just happy to see new guys joining the community :)
It was a smart precaution to don the helmet. I applaud you doing up the strap. So many just plunk it on their heads and think that is protection. Had a friend out on a motorcycle that didn't do up the strap and sailed over a car's hood. Had about $10,000 worth of dental in today's dollars. His full face helmet would've saved him had he used the strap. Nice sled BTW.
its not stupid at all to wear a helmet. never know if the ramps will kick out even if they are tied on. shit happens all the time might as well protect the noodle.
I have seen a very experienced rider fly right over the cab of his truck loading a sled. Glad my neighbour is around to laugh about it. Helmet is always a good thing.
I know that feeling in your stomach very well. I load a 162" Arctic Cat into my pickup about the same way. Always nervous about sticking it through the back window. 11' sled, 6' pickup bed...
why are there so many haters?? #1 if he had a long bed truck he would be loading it in that.. #2 if he had a trailer he would be loading it in that. #3 if he wants to wear a helmet to load his sled than so be it. At least he is not another one of those dumb asses pulling wheelies with a fitted hat on backwards.
awesome idea, im building a platform for my 08 canyon cause my sled is too wide to drive it in the box . is that top bar higher than your tailgate? is that ramp welded right to the bar, or are you using other straps... hard to tell in the vid...thanks man
Jesus Christ all these butthurt and jealous people that complain that he got a Pro RMK 155" as the first sled. You ask me that's a good choice. It's lightweight, easy to learn how to ride, it's mountain sled with a long track so he can learn how to climb steep and deep hills. Best of all, 2 months of riding, and youre at the average snowmobiler in skill or above. Good pick!
Used snowmobile trailers are cheap. Cheaper than fixing truck. had a buddy loading a Polaris sportsman in a ranger to fast. Bent front of bed & back of cab& busted back glass.
Gotta learn somehow and somewhere. Loading mine in my 6ft bed of my Chevy is a chore lucky I don't have a long track. Learned my lesson the hard way....Lets just say look before you ramp it up there
That's why you buy a real truck! Nice sled no need to skimp on the truck! I remember my first time loading one into the back, kinda scary but just can't think about it!
Seems like a tight fit but it looks like you made it work. Where do ride? I've seen a couple of your videos are in California and I enjoy snowmobiling out here and was wondering if you do any snowmobiling in California?
Polaris :( First sled is that?? damn I wish I had money my first sled was a 94 zr 440.. but now I love my 2003 F7.. however guys we do have to be nice it is good to see new people joining the sport that most of us love. Have Fun!
my first sled was my rxl in my vids the very first time or second time i ever did a catwalk on it i fell off and ive been around sleds my whole life so even i used too be bad every one starts off bad but get good at it especially when you love the sport
let me just pop some wheelies on this ramp on my way up....just for style lolol no hate its just funny....i load my sled on snow banks cus where i live we have snow lololol
A 163 still isnt a long track in my books, 153-163 is average, go to a dealership in a place where theres actualy snow and find me a 144 (long track lol) sled. Cant do it, because dealers aren't dumb enough to buy something no one needs or can use cause its a short track.. Short track turbos on the other hand... No shorter then 144 though.
You have no business on a sled and ontop of that a PRO??? BTW a 155 is not long at all i love them cuz of their maneuverability in the trees but it is not considered a long track dude. First season out? lol and jumpin right ontop a top of the line sled, try a snow go ;)
Very ambitious for a first time sledder to try a RMK 800 - I have the same sled, but I've been sledding for almost 40 yrs. PS I have a 14 foot trailer for my sled - lot easier to load than on a short box - Why do folks buy a short box when they buy a truck? For looks? Short boxed are generally useless!
as for illegal that depends where you live. not like it has a ton of weight out the end. all the weight is basically on the rear axle. just because it is not your first choice for a first sled doesn't make it so for others. just saying
Wtf is goin on down there haha anything 140+ is considered ling track guys. And its the width of the track that adds float not the length. 120-137 short 140-174 long To each is own guys. No need to argue your all pretty... girls. Lol
alright i aint pickin a fight but if you are honestly a beginner (which i believe 100%) there is no reason you should be on a 800, ive been riding for 10 years and i own 440's and 600's and there is more than enough power there
Dude, we all have to start somewhere.
If anyone gives you shit for wearing a helmet while loading....they probably should have worn one too..
A bigger truck would help, but it looks like you're doing OK as it is. Nice job.
Nice looking sled. And nice job of loading. Wishing you many miles of good riding, and never getting stuck. (lol, experience says it bites)
why is there so much hate? like you have to start somewhere... how else are you ever going to learn loading? This just shows what kind of dicks some people can be... I'm just happy to see new guys joining the community :)

It doesn't take much of a bump on the head to turn into a drooling veg! Helmet is always smart!
that's a hell of a first sled. I started out with a 80' arctic cat el tigre 5000
hellofa sled for your first one! Nice little nissan too!!!
watched this 3 times and still don't see a truck
I have seen a very experienced rider fly right over the cab of his truck loading a sled. Glad my neighbour is around to laugh about it. Helmet is always a good thing.
Big sled, little truck. Good luck with that...
Great job and always a smart move to wear a helmet!
I know that feeling in your stomach very well. I load a 162" Arctic Cat into my pickup about the same way. Always nervous about sticking it through the back window. 11' sled, 6' pickup bed...

Hah, don't worry about those haters. You gotta start somewhere! Just last year I flew off the sled loading it onto a trailer.
I dont blame you for having a helmat! The first time I tried to load my sled into my truck, it fell over onto me! I wished I had a helmet then!
Lol. Yes he is!
1. thats not a truck
2. Don't you dare put headaches on it.
That guy with the sled on his Saturn looks more stable, that's right he put a sled on top of his SATURN! Check it out, its awesome!
awesome idea, im building a platform for my 08 canyon cause my sled is too wide to drive it in the box . is that top bar higher than your tailgate? is that ramp welded right to the bar, or are you using other straps... hard to tell in the vid...thanks man
When loading those things man, Just go with it and don't think about it. Good video tho brother!
Jesus Christ all these butthurt and jealous people that complain that he got a Pro RMK 155" as the first sled. You ask me that's a good choice. my first sled is my rmk pro. i dont see why it matters what sled a guy picks lol, i needed a sled with parts available
Learned my lesson the hard way....Lets just say look before you ramp it up there
I got a 136 track and overall length 10-6" and a 05 Dakota. Tailgate down is 8 feet. Got a lot more sled on the truck than that thank cripes!
lucky but i would recommend the ski doo summit
Sick sled, but you should get a Titan to haul it!
That's why you buy a real truck! Nice sled no need to skimp on the truck! I remember my first time loading one into the back, kinda scary but just can't think about it!
welcome to snowmobiling!
friendly tip for the future! buy a doo!!!!!!!
Seems like a tight fit but it looks like you made it work. Where do ride? I've seen a couple of your videos are in California and I enjoy snowmobiling out here and was wondering if you do any snowmobiling in California?
That is a beautiful machine
You simply need a bigger truck, at least a half ton pickup. The box on that nissan is to short and will cause added stress on your slide rails.
ok now quick, lift up the sled and close the tail gate so it looks COOL in the back!! lol
Polaris :( First sled is that?? damn I wish I had money my first sled was a 94 zr 440.. but now I love my 2003 F7.. however guys we do have to be nice it is good to see new people joining the sport that most of us love. Have Fun!
Not good for you're track paddles to spin them on hard pointed ramp edges. find a ditch to back up to, lessening the ramp angle. Good job considering.
Main reason i went with 7'6" ramp on short 03 tundra...better , safer angles
Shoulda got a skidoo, I like Polaris though
did you just rig that hitch up to your ramp, or did you buy it like that?
I blew the rear window out doing the same in a titan a few years back all I could do was laugh my ass off.
+B Goode That just made my day haha
+MarcusN no more sled. I ride a kx500 with a timbersled kit now. Brapp brapp
What is that ramp system called? Do you leave it attached for transportation? Looks like you can lift it straight out, tie on a red rag or reflector.
thought for sure i was gonna see the skis go thru the back window
At least you chose a Polaris
wearing a sled, is believe it or not pretty smart, thats a heavy sled, if it rolls or flips you can get crushed, better to be safe than sorry :)
my first sled was my rxl in my vids the very first time or second time i ever did a catwalk on it i fell off and ive been around sleds my whole life so even i used too be bad every one starts off bad but get good at it especially when you love the sport
Does your tampon light flash on that polaris when you drive it like that
you dont need a bigger truck just a small trailer big enough for two sleds for you and a buddy
Nice nessian
Learn how to spell before commenting. Thanks
Who makes that support under the tailgate? I can't find one anywhere.
or watch your sled fall off back of truck trailer isnt bad if you have a small one that ur sled actually fits on. lol maybe long box truck:)
That's not a truck! That's a car with no trunk lid. 😂🤣
What kind of ramp is that you are using?
What is the length of your bed? Is it the 4.7 ft.?
the rmk 600 would of been a better sled for your first time out
haha.. always buy bigger... Comes in handy ..
Wtf? Why risk that sled on that shortbed truck? 2nd hand trailers are only a few hundred bucks.
Yep now try it on snow
let me just pop some wheelies on this ramp on my way up....just for style lolol no hate its just funny....i load my sled on snow banks cus where i live we have snow lololol
how is truckee? I always ride hope valley blue lakes on the othet side of yahoe
Your ramp and truck bed R 2 for that sled, I have 8ft ramp and 8ft pickup bed
how is he going to drive away with 3 quarters of his sled hanging off his truck
CITY KIDS - FYI THAT IS NOT A TRUCK
A 163 still isnt a long track in my books, 153-163 is average, go to a dealership in a place where theres actualy snow and find me a 144 (long track lol) sled. Cant do it, because dealers aren't dumb enough to buy something no one needs or can use cause its a short track.. Short track turbos on the other hand... No shorter then 144 though.
its not such a big deal lots of people wear helmets while loading because you dont always make it on the truck first try!
can you drive with that much sled hanging out the back???
You have no business on a sled and ontop of that a PRO??? BTW a 155 is not long at all i love them cuz of their maneuverability in the trees but it is not considered a long track dude. First season out? lol and jumpin right ontop a top of the line sled, try a snow go ;)
Helmet?
Id say thats the average... 162/163 isnt even a long track yet 153-155 and 162 and both average, 144 is a short track, 174 is a long track.
skidoo made 164. thats long!
it fits perfect! haha
You have a real sled now you need a real truck
heres a solution, get an actual truck with an actual bed
thats a half a short bed
Youre going to screw up your tailgate if youre not too careful!
you know its gonna be a good video when the guy is wearing his helmet loading his sled into his truck. safety first
Safety first always were a helmet
more money then brains lol JP need a long box
I would be scared of nokin out the window on my truck. but I always use my truck.
\
i love how worried he is to load his sled.. i whould like him to climb something... whouldent and good.
My first sled was a 800 dragon and im 15 and i load it into a 5.5 box and i shit my pants every time
My thoughts exactly.
Very ambitious for a first time sledder to try a RMK 800 - I have the same sled, but I've
been sledding for almost 40 yrs. PS I have a 14 foot trailer for my sled - lot easier to load than on a short box - Why do folks buy a short box when they buy a truck? For looks? Short boxed are generally useless!
Easier to park also as I’m typing this I realize this was 10 years ago
how old are you?
that truck can barely hold the front half of the sled nevermind the rest of the 155" track lol
have another beer!!
If you buy a short box, you probably shouldn't even have bought a truck.
Why you wearin a helmet ?
yea for my first sled im goin with a pro rmk 800 an im guna vid tape myself drivin it into my truck to brag bout my money
I don't think an 800 155" was a wise choice for a first sled. The real problem is all the overhang out of the truck. Both unsafe and illegal.
as for illegal that depends where you live. not like it has a ton of weight out the end. all the weight is basically on the rear axle. just because it is not your first choice for a first sled doesn't make it so for others. just saying
Put a red flag on the end and boom you’re legal 😂
haha saame but i was 13 and had a 600 lb apex mountain to load up a ski-doo deck on a truck with a lift kit LOL defiantly shit my pants material
why dose hi have a helmet on?
Wtf is goin on down there haha anything 140+ is considered ling track guys. And its the width of the track that adds float not the length. 120-137 short 140-174 long
To each is own guys. No need to argue your all pretty... girls. Lol
why post it on youtube for everyone to see?
invest in a trailer?.......
or a long bed truck either way this guy has got a nice sled
Sleds, bikes and other hobbies ehh kinda but if you are cautious it shouldn't be to bad.
Clearly never ever has loaded a sled
that's because this is his first time
The problem is his Nissan Frontier.......step up to a full size truck. That track hanging that much off the back is unsafe!
that sled is way too big for that truck.... time for a trailer ur track is barely on the tailgate
thats a 2011. I have a 2012. which is my first sled. Why? cause i can thats why
alright i aint pickin a fight but if you are honestly a beginner (which i believe 100%) there is no reason you should be on a 800, ive been riding for 10 years and i own 440's and 600's and there is more than enough power there
He is going to wind up hurting himself or someone else. Or just wrecking his sled. It is his life though. Whatever.
Lol... its 155'' dude... pretty long ^^
