@L.A. Bible Thumper : ha, ha, don't be too offended by words on ink and paper (or byte strokes on a screen), and you'll notice that when many of us are exercising a bit of humour (or using an expletive as an exclamation punctuation), we are mindful of the 'easily offended' PC brigade, and so always asterisk those words so as not to spell them outright. Also, when I've ever done something like accidentally belt my thumb with a hammer, etc, I've found that exhorting a train of expletives is a pretty effective first aid anaesthetic and pain relief (oh thank you Lord for our sense of humour - if only swearing was the greatest sin before your throne). Don't get me wrong, I rarely use expletives in every day conversation, and find the sound of somebody stringing every three or four words together, using a classic expletive as a conjunction, to be totally base and distasteful (wearysome). BUT, LA Bible Thumper, one thing that you or anybody will NEVER EVER, read or hear in what I write or say is the words 'God' or 'Jesus Christ" employed as expletives - this really does annoy the absolute €#@?ing sh*.., (er, 'poo'), out of me! 😆 I'd rather listen to somebody use the whole 'top shelf' of classic expletives than hear either 'God' or 'Jesus Christ' used as one. Cheers and God bless.

Jerusalem is That Great City. The Zionist have overthrown the Jewish state and have brought togetherr 70 Nations to replace the UN and have got the Noahide laws which forbid worshipping the God that has a son named Jesus. The God they worship is none other than Satan. The Zionist are recreating Babylon while most are unaware. The Woman on the Beast and the Woman in the Wilderness are related but not by blood. A 'plague' came upon the kingdom of the [political] wild beast. The kingdom became darkened; and the plague came upon the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up. Revelation 16: 10- 12. "The waters that you saw, where the [religious] harlot is sitting, mean peoples and crowds and nations and tongues." Revelation 17: 14. The 'waters that dry up' are the 'love of the many cooling off, due to the increasing of lawlessness' Matthew 24: 12. Just as Cyrus the Persian walked up the river Euphrates, when the waters were drained off; and took control of Babylon with one death; so also Christ Jesus, the Greater Cyrus, does a similar thing when suddenly, Babylon the Great; the world empire of false religion, is brought to ruin. Revelation 17: 12-17 Rev 18: 1-4.
We see the 'way is prepared for the kings from the rising of the Sun' Revelation 16: 12, Jehovah God and Christ Jesus; when Satan,Gog of Magog, comes upon the soil of Israel Ezekiel 38: 18, 19 with 'hissing, roaring' missiles 2Peter 3: 10 arriving from IRAN Daniel 11; 44, 45. Jehovah's Day of anger ruptures Zephaniah 2: 1-11. In the financially collapsed EU RUSSIA arrives Ezekiel 7: 19-22 and the pillaging of the artefacts of the Vatican and the churches occurs. The time arrives for a 'man of lawlessness', exposed in crimes against children, is suddenly brought to ruin 2Thessalonians 2: 2-12 CHRIST JESUS IS 'MANIFEST' 2Thess 2: 8 and Paul wrote: "They did not have the love of the truth that they could be saved." 2Thess 2: 9-11. At the same time, the war has broken out between the US, Israel, allies and the political clerics ruling Iran Daniel 8: 20, 23-25. Prophecy shows a shocking bombing of Iran Jeremiah 49: 35-38 that is directed at the false religion in political power there. Babylon the Great is under assault; just as Babylon came under assault by Cyrus the Persian in 539 BCE. The world empire of false religion is destroyed completely, because Jehovah 'puts it into their hearts to carry out His thought, even to carry out their one thought by giving their kingdom to the [political ] wild beast [Revelation 13: 1, 11-13] until the words of God will have been accomplished." Revelation 17: 17.
The crisis in the political system now seen with wars appearing Jeremiah 25: 24-26 and WRATH appearing with large-scale protests and riots in 27 countries in Q4 of 1019 Revelation 11: 18 leads to the time in prophecy in Luke 21: 26 when the 'powers of the [political ] heavens will be 'shaken', by the arrival of Jehovah's 'earthquake' on this system, outlined in Hebrews 12: 26-29.THIS is the 'shattering impact' when Jehovah changes the worldwide government. Christ arrives 'in power and great glory' Matthew 24: 29, 30, and the political system is ejected from all power and authority, at the time of their hissing, roaring missiles 2Peter 3: 10. This shatters the political system, so that it ends up like 'chaff upon the wind' Daniel 2: 34, 35, 44 We stand at the threshold of a dramatic change; and the true God has described the events in prophecy to greatly increase the numbers of faithful people being saved by Divine interventions. Romans 10: 13-15. Jehovah God comes to the rescue of faithful mankind Matthew 25 31, 34 John 3: 16. The Kingdom preached by Christ Luke 23: 43 takes over our affairs, with a view to Justice, mercy and righteousness. The WICKED are destroyed Psalms 92: 7 to bring the Great tribulation to an END. No sacrifice exists for unrepentant wicked ones who intend to always be wicked. The ones reading these remarks will see the biggest rescue of mankind by God in the entire history of the earth; and the one who looks up all these Scriptures can see where the remarks originate.

One thing that really irks me is when I run across self-proclaimed sages who just come up with pronouncements out of nowhere with nothing to substantiate what they assert and everyone is supposed to simply swallow whatever they say whole. This is precisely how cults get started. "I have a hotline to Heaven." "God and I play racquetball every other Thursday." Blah blah blah. This just in to the newsroom, Ace: "everybody" includes you. So, come up with some sort of empirical evidence to corroborate what you're piously pontificating; until then, do everybody a favor and back away from the keyboard and let Jesus and the apostles do the pontificating. Doesn't sound to me like you've ever heard of the Bereans.

There is no mystery Babylon in identity. The city of Babel is the great city of Babylon, the mystery of the woman being the literal geological location of the city in Iraq is the function and role of the city during the period the antichrist will arise. The angel explains the mystery in Rev 17 which h has nothing to do with the identity of the city as this was already revealed.
Everything the prophets described Babylon as in their prophetic warnings of it's destruction, Jesus repeats so there is no ambiguity of whom He is revealing to be completely destroyed forever.
It is not Israel that will be destroyed forever as this is the inheritance of God's adopted in Christ.
But Babel being the capitol of Babylon is what will be forever destroyed to never again be rebuilt and thrive as a city.
Just as the prophets of old described the old empire to be destroyed , so is Jesus in these future events revealing it's final fulfillment.
      Jeremiah 51:59-64
This is the message Jeremiah the prophet gave to the staff officer Seraiah son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, when he went to Babylon with Zedekiahking of Judah in the fourth year of his reign. 60 Jeremiah had written on a scroll about all the disasters that would come upon Babylon-all that had been recorded concerning Babylon. 61 He said to Seraiah, “When you get to Babylon, see that you read all these words aloud. 62 Then say, ‘Lord, you have said you will destroy this place, so that neither people nor animals will live in it; it will be desolate forever.’ 63 When you finish reading this scroll, tie a stone to it and throw it into the Euphrates.64 Then say, ‘So will Babylon sink to rise no more because of the disaster I will bring on her. And her people will fall.’”
The words of Jeremiah end here
      Revelations 18:21
Then a strong angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying, "So will Babylon, the great city, be thrown down with violence, and will not be found any longer.
Jesus repeats key phrases of the old prophets in dealing with the literal Babel capitol.
So again no mystery of identity just in function and role the city will play economically of which the revealed in Rev 17. The same mystery that was on her forehead.
There are many other phrases that match directly to ancient Babylon from rev14-19.

Babylon is a tricky one. Looking at Babylon today it's really hard to picture it has the city in revelation. Another consideration is that in Babel (Babylon) all the people were one with one language and probably one dictator. With this new world order and one world government it may refer to another city which will serve the same purpose. The other issue is revelation seems to imply a coastal city.

I believe the center of Global Power will return to Shinar (Iraq) but might not necessarily be Nebuchadnezzar's City, yes Saddam rebuilt it, but ti's basically Rebuilt only to be a Tourist Attraction. Catholic church? Pagan practises? Go read the early fathers of the church. These were influential in church history and development from around 90 AD to 400 AD. In essence, they took over from the apostles so the early ones knew the apostles and their teachings. The apostles didn't write much down, they proclaimed the word. St. Paul was the most prolific of them with his epistles. However, when you consider the length of his ministry, there isn't that much in writing. However, the fathers of the church wrote things down. They are fairly well known. St. Jerome, St. Augustine, St. Athanasius of Alexandria, St Gregory of Nazianzus, St. Clement, St Ignatius of Antioch, St. John Chrysostom just to mention a few. If the Catholic Church has it wrong then so did these guys because the magisterium of the church is anchored in the teachings of these men who, once again, followed in the footsteps of the apostles. Which means if these early fathers got it wrong we all got it wrong. Christianity would have died with the last of the apostles. For example, St. Jerome translated the gospels into the major vernaculars of the day, latin and greek. Did he really get it wrong? We trust he had it right. Likewise we trust the others did as well. Pagan practises? These practises have been in play for 2000 years from the time of the apostles onward and while the appearances may have changed, such as vestments, church buildings, modes of communication etc., the essence of these practises has not. If you doubt what I say, please, go read. I would also like to add that this is not a good time for Christians or Christianity.
While we may not agree in many things, we are through baptism all brothers in Christ. Throwing barbs at each other serves no purpose other than causing antagonism when these days, more than ever, we need to be united in facing an increasingly intolerant world.

Transubstantiation. Well actually yes they did and so did St Paul. I Corinthians 10:16-17 NKJV. The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ. The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we, though many, are one bread and one body; for we all partake of that one bread. He is simply asking that as Christians, do we believe it or not. The answer he seems to be expecting is, ‘Yes, we do.’
John 6 pretty well lays it on the line as well. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.” and later, ‘For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink.’ That is why Catholics believe in transubstantiation. The eucharist was instituted by Jesus himself at the last super and the apostles were told to continue to do this. You know, Roman Catholics are not the only ones who believe this. Eastern Orthodox Churches have the same roots, the same church fathers and believe this as well. Protestants are the ones with the problem with this teaching. It is interesting that when Jesus proclaimed this in John 6 a majority of his followers turned away because they were unable to accept it. He simply turned to the apostles and asked if they were going to leave as well. He didn't tell them he was speaking in symbols or giving a parable. He wasn’t going to change what he said about eating his flesh and drinking his blood to make it more palatable to everyone. And, again, yes, the early church fathers wrote about this and confirmed it.
In regards to the Mass, yes, it has always been a cornerstone in the Church. As mentioned before, St. Paul refers to it. It wasn’t always called the Mass though. I think in the early days it was referred to as the breaking of the bread. To be honest I’m not sure when it began to be referred to as the Mass. There was a need to ritualize the Mass and sacraments in order to keep cohesion in the church. Basically, if everyone did what they felt like the original concept would be lost as all sorts of other practices would take over. This was one of the complaints of the early church about the gnostics.
’m not sure what you mean by salvation by church only. I thought Martin Luther was more of that persuasion with belief that by faith alone are ye saved. If you mean that only good Catholics can get to heaven then no I don’t believe they did and I might also add that neither does the Catholic Church today.
I don’t know about sculptures, but if you visit the catacombs in Rome, you will see many early Christian paintings on those walls. If you go to the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul, (formerly Constantinople) Turkey, which was at one time a Cathedral built by Constantine, you will see images of Christ on its walls. I want to make a point here. Catholics to not pray to or adore images. Those images are there to remind us of who we pray to. Crucifixes should remind us what Christ underwent to obtain our salvation. We respect and reverence what they stand for.
Speaking of the Virgin, here is a prayer uttered to her in the year 250.
Beneath your compassion we take refuge, Theotokos. Our petitions do not despise in time of trouble, but from danger rescue us, only holy, only blessed.
The reason I include this is to show that from a very early time in the history of the church, there has been a devotion to the Virgin Mary. The rosary wasn’t around in those days. The rosary, although it contains Hail Mary’s, is designed as a reflection or meditation on the life of Jesus as portrayed in the gospels. We believe the Virgin asked people to pray the rosary as a way to her son. We also believe that by petitioning her, his mother, she in turn will petition her son on our behalf. We do not adore, or ever have, adored the Virgin. She may be many things, but she is not divine. We do love and honour her, though, for the role she played in salvation.
The Fathers of the Church also wrote about apostolic succession, the primacy of the chair of Peter as well as many other issues of today. I want to add also that I am not saying that the Holy Catholic Church is perfect. The Holy part is not about humanity and unfortunately the church has been very human from the beginning. One only has to look to the gospels to see this. The apostles didn't get it until the Resurrection and argued about who would be the greatest once Jesus overthrew the Romans and established a great kingdom. Very much about worldly honours. When he was arrested they fled, Peter denied him and Judas betrayed him. Hardly men of honour. Yet, Jesus did not deny them in fact told them he would remain with his church until the end of time. That is the Holy. Even though the church continuously has messed up since those days, Christ doesn't and keeps his promise to remain.

@@danieljust295 Those are interesting points, Daniel, and they deserve some consideration. Early christians may or may not have made sculptures, but if you look at the catacombs in Rome they did paint images of Christ. An image is still an image whether in stone or paint. Transubstantiation is a concept that explains the bread and wine being changed into the body and blood of Christ. As a explanation of how this happens transubstantiation came later. However, early Christians, including St. Paul believed that the bread and wine truly was the body and blood of Christ. How to I know. He said so. Don't believe me? Read 1Corinthians 10:16. So, yes, they celebrated Mass, but it was called the breaking of the bread. Names change. I don't know if they prayed in front of a cross or not. We all pray in front of something. Unless you are in outer space you pretty much have to. So praying in front of a cross or a crucifix is at least reminding you to whom you are praying. Remember, no one prays to a cross, they pray to God. In addition the church does not say salvation comes from it. Salvation comes from God. Hope this clarifies things a little for you. Regards.

You need to know that, if you study Islam and Muslim end time prophesy, only the Sunni Muslims consider Mecca their most holy city but the Shiites, you know, Iran, consider Babylon their most holy city and believe that Babylon MUST be rebuilt before their Mahdi or messiah can come and he will rule the world out of Babylon with the Muslim Caliphate, which will have a council of 10 Muslim leaders, you know, the 10 horns.
The Shiites have stated that, if necessary, they will destroy Mecca to force the Sunni Muslims to accept Babylon as Islam's most holy city. Is that why Iran is supporting the Houthis in taking over Yemen within easy rocket range of Mecca? Keep an eye on this.
The current rebuilding of Babylon is under the control of the World Monuments Fund and Obama gave $2 million to it just months after he became president and has given other large amounts since then via the State Department and I don't know if Trump knows it but the US State Department is still giving large sums of US tax dollars to the World Monuments Fund for rebuilding Babylon.
The rebuilding of Babylon has been going on in three phases, two of which have been going on at the same time since Obama was first elected as president (Obama and the US black Muslims believe that Obama is the Shiite Mahdi and Farrakhan referred to Obama a number of times as their messiah, meaning Muslim Mahdi.)
The first two phases have been going on since Obama began giving US tax dollars to the World Monuments Fund and are 1) mapping out the exact location for every part of old Babylon so no one will build on any of it and defile it because it is all holy and 2) rebuilding old Babylon. The third phase had to wait until the first phase was completed and is building the modern extension of Babylon as the most magnificent city in the world to be the political, financial, and religious capital of the world. They plan to dredge the Euphrates and build a massive port inside this new extension of Babylon somewhere southeast of old Babylon for modern ships.
They announced that they had finished the first phase in the fall of 2018 and the third phase would begin at either the end of 2019 or beginning of 2020 and should begin soon. Keep an eye on this, I am.
This has all been going on for more than a decade, you know, since Obama got elected, and few know about this.
Did you know that the most holy number in Islam is 666? Don't believe me?
Do a search on the Internet for Islam's most holy numbers and you will find dozens of Muslim sites telling you that 666 is their most holy number. Persian Muslims have been tattooing 666 on the backs of their right hands for at least two decades and maybe for centuries. If they don't have a right hand, they tattoo it on their forehead.
Sound familiar? Why don't they tattoo 666 on their left hand?
Because, in Islam, their left hand is defiled and tattooing their most holy number on their left hand would defile their most holy number and get their head cut off.
Do you know how the Muslim Mahdi has to prove he is the Muslim Mahdi?
He has to stand on the Temple Mount and give the order for Muslims to kill all of the remaining Jews and Christians, you know, just like the Biblical Antichrist will do during the Tribulation. The Muslim prophesy says that, if a Jew or Christian hides behind a rock or tree, that rock or tree will cry out that there is a Jew or Christian hiding behind it and for the Muslims to come kill them.
    Get the picture yet?
The Pope and most of the Vatican are working to convert the Catholic Church to Islam and they have purchased land where they will build the new addition to Babylon to build a new Vatican.
The British royal family has also purchased land there to build a new royal palace and leave Windsor Castle.
Islam is the one world government and one world church of the Bible and the Pope, Vatican, British royal family, and all of the other upper class globalists know this and plan to be a part of it. They are all closet Muslims and are right now coming out of the closet.
Did some light bulbs just come on?
For more information and updates on this, see my blog at www.crcantrell.bibleword.org/Creation.html . I have been researching and writing about this since 9/11. I don't make any money from that site and there are more than 1,500 pages about many topics. I average uploading about 10 to 20 pages a month.
Soon will be the Battle of Ezekiel 38 & 39.

Darius the Mede, is the "Astyages" that is mentioned in the book of Esther, who put away his wife "Vashti" , and married Esther, (a Jewess) that makes Cyrus a Jew ! For that reason, he is "prophesied about" in Isa 44/45, as God's servant(175 years bfore the fall of Babylon ! Belshazar as Not the Grandson...

The pride just oozes out of you friend. This should be mandatory to be in the ministry Morgan. You maybe right with some of the above but just give him a private call or message to discuss. To have this stuff wrong is not vital as we Christians will be raptured before the Antichrist is revealed but Chuck encourages us to read the scriptures which is more than pridefully just spouting your opinion as THE way. As the poster above has highlighted, there are two great cities referred to in Revelation in Jerusalem (where our Lord was crucified) and the literal Babylon. Consider that the tower of Babel (in Babylon) was built in the planes of Shinar, the golden statue was erected by Nebuchadnezzar to worship (a type of the image of the beast in Rev) and Zechariah 5:11 talks about the end time building in the land of Shinar that will be this shall be the Babylon referred to in Revelation 17-18. Scripture reveals scripture for clarity.

What is in Rev 17:4 has nothing to do with the vestment of the highpriest but everything to do with the economic influence of the city and why it is called great. Rev17:4 is paralleled with Rev 18 which repeats what the woman was wearing on top of extra resources that were for import and export. Babel is a great city because of it's luxuries in export and imports. It plays an strong economic value to the false theocracy of the antichrist until he gets sick of them and seeks to destroy the city

The concept of separation of church and state is credited to the writings of prominent english freemason John Locke one of the acclaimed prophets of the so-called Age of Enlightenment AKA illumination. That is when the exoteric part of the ancient mystery religion has started to be reintroduced gradually into society under the guise of secularism. Now it hides under accredited scientific theories such as heliocentrism, evolution, the big bang or social progress and human rights such as gender equality, abortion, divorce etc.
