Growing up in western Washington surrounded by woods and swamp this was the sound each night as id fall asleep with my window open. The nostalgia almost hurts to be honest. Homesick, yet comforted. I have horrible night terrors, EHS (exploding head syndrome), and insomnia, but with a couple melatonin pills and these listenable videos, I can avoid them almost 90% of the time. Plus, there’s no one annoying cricket, frog, or cicada that’s louder than the rest in this video, instead all the sounds blend together! I love it Thank you!
This is exactly the sound I've been trying to find! I'm in Tennessee and I can hear a distant pond, all the critters. I used to sleep with my window open, smelling the crisp spring air and sometimes moonlight would cover my bed. My absolute favorite memories.
Oh my! Brings back memories of my childhood growing up with a swampy woods across from our house. I loved listening to that. 50 years later and that swampy area now has duplex’s all over it. 😢

i live in Arizona, so i don’t get to experience this. i love frogs so so so much and i find their sounds super cute and oddly calming, makes me miss living in Utah near a water source, we had a few frogs here and there 😢

autistic, lived in a tropical country for my teen years. just moved back to america and its dead silent in the house because i live in a neighborhood and its October. this video soothed a homesickness triggered meltdown. i know things will get easier. it just takes time.

Hey Kit - Yeah I think you're right - there is a very faint motor sound in the background - depends on how you listen to it too - some speakers/headphones accentuate funny things that aren't there on others.... I hope it's not too distracting, but I'll understand if you move on from this one 😋
