I saw the show for the first time on 5/28/23 and Elijah did an amazing job playing Michael. He got the speaking voice, singing and dancing down pat. I got to meet him after the show too. He’s also super humble. I told him how much of a huge MJ fan I was and that he did a great job playing him. Glad to know he grew up a huge fan like I was. Great new addition to the show
Interesting. I wonder what the connection is between MJ actors and the lion king? Jason Weaver played Michael in the Jacksons an american dream and also played simba in the lion king movie.
He was already in the workshops in 2019 when they were rehearsing for this musical. He was rehearsing as middle Michael. When they needed a new MJ, they brought him back!

Was Manchester Birmingham and London auditions in march but he did not audition so they must chosen him instead of auditions
