This is true... fathers who leave, have no idea the pain and hurt they leave behind, with their kids having a thousand questions, and no answers...and how to deal with an upside down survival. If my kids n I didnt have our Heavenly Father to lean on, for literally everything, we'd be a mess. But we arent. Because of His comfort and grace and healing.
To be able to break through and see the good beyond the bad is what love is really about, don't you think? Pain blinds us and love sets us free. Blessings!
This is one of the best TV movies I ever saw. Michael Landon Jr showed us the real Michael Landon that very few people knew or ever saw and because of that, it makes him more human and more of a man than he was on television. Thank you Michael Landon Jr for making this movie and telling your story.
John Schneider was the perfect actor for Michael Landon! Absolutely Amazing!!! Thank you Michael Landon Jr for sharing your life with us. God's Blessings upon You and Your family 🙏
ladies, there is a lesson here .....mom tries to reconcile in her mind ...her marriage ....her quote "he pursued me " ........ IF HE cheated on the woman to be with you ...... DO NOT be shocked when he cheats on you
The only person that Michael Landon cheated was on him self. But, to be diagnosed with such a deadly form of Cancer at 54 has to be devastating. I'm the same age as Melissa Gilbert and grew up watching Little House. Michael Landon was one of the Best story writers and producers ever in television history. R.I.P. Mr. Landon and may God Bless you for bringing Little House on the Prairie as a TV series that will be enjoyed by generation after generation.
As always, 100% of the population should know: 1. What is cancer? 2. What causes it? 3. How not to get it! Those answers have been known for 100 years! Society seems not to be able to step out from under the dark shadow of big Pharma!
“Love is an act of endless forgiveness.” Our choices have feel and far reaching impact. After Michael Jr. experienced God’s forgiveness he was able to extend that forgiveness to his dad. A sad yet beautiful redemptive story.
God should be asking for forgiveness from humanity Where the heck has he been with all this suffering, child sex trafficking and child sacrifice Shame on him for not saving the children from hell
Well.. If the shoe fit. 🙄 I didn't ask to be born did you? Also who created. Man in the first place then Adam was too much of a boo boo I need somebody then God made Woman Eve, then had to get some excitement now. Let's put the the "Tree of Knowledge" that is forbidden to eat from then add the snake which is really Satan in disguise but has the seducing voice to get Eve to dive all into that tree. Then tells Adam. Now Adam knew remember that. Don't continue to condemn "Eve". That's right! So that's the story on why we suffer today because of "The Fall of Man". So, if God just left it with the animals then we wouldn't ever have these great stories to tell even within our own lives of suffering, sinning, redemption finding Christ, never leaving Christ just swayed a little and those that stayed on the narrow path and never swayed. That would be Jesus I would think. I'd like to know a human being that neveg sinned. Know any? 🤔 🧐
Great lesson and reminder about forgiveness. I grew up with Little House on the Prairie. Michael Landon really wasn't acting when he was playing a father. It's my understanding that he was just as much a father figure to the kids on the set. He wasn't acting. It was his natural state. Unfortunately, he had his transgressions like all of us. I'm pleased that Michael Landon Jr. was able to forgive his father before he passed. Thank you for the reminder about forgiveness , Michael Landon Jr. Sometimes we need it.
This is so sad the son is hurting this is why he is acting out a father should be able to work through their marriage leaving for another younger lady is wrong and his son can't deal with this very good movie thank you for sharing 💕
Great movie! Tears ran down my face. I didn't know that side of the story of his life! Michael Landon was my favorite actor when I was a child. In drawing class and at 13 years of age I draw a picture of him. From Portugal with love and appreciation! May his soul rest in peace. 💓🙏
I still hate my dad till now for leaving us, it's affected me so much that I can't even trust a guy who truly loves me cause I don't wanna endup like my mum, but this movie has helped me to heal
Counselling can help you get more insight into the patterns of relationships and ways of living you have developed bc of what you went through and learn how to have healthier relationships going forward. I recommend it 😊
@@Anne-pv9cb am not punishing him, I just feel like true love doesn't exist, try taking care of six children with a salary of a nurse, educating them, paying rent and so on. And if a man moves on,we should understand and try to be happy for him,yet if a woman does it then she's a prostitute or an irresponsible mother. Today am a teacher thanks to my mums hard work and patience but I can never love foolishly even if he tells me that I mean the world to him
It is the same for wives who are left behind: A part of one's heart is ripped out. It literally feels as if being murdered. A devastating experience also to witness one's children's pain.
I know that John Schneider looks and sounds nothing like Michael Landon, but he NAILED this role. I do however believe that Tom Wopat should have had a cameo as Victor French.
This movie really brought out the reality of the damages the sins of a father/mother can make. ADULTRY, people do it and I never saw any good results come out of it. "I fell in love" they say. Love does not break up a happy home but fleshly, lustful desires of the flesh does and no one comes out winning from the sins of the father/mother.
The relationship was over long before a third person entered. No one "wants" (plans) to be that third person. Unfortunately, it is the children who are collateral damage. Everyone deserves to be happy.
But why do some women want to have relationship with married men? Even Lynn Landon had started the relationship with Landon when Landon still married with his first wife. So it just history repeating itself. So for Lynn, it's only a karma. She sacrificed Landon children from his first wife, and then the third wife sacrificed the children from the second wife (Lynn)
One of the best movies I've seen in many years. Michael was a star . He gave each role he played his best effort and it showed . I believe that is what made him a star . And so endearing to his fans . May he RIP and may his entire family be blessed. And may they each find the joy and happiness in there lives that Michael gave to all that watched and admired him .
I'm sorry, but I honestly believe acting is a cush way to make a living. It does not take a great aptitude, a great deal of stamina, hardworking or perseverance. Much of it is good fortune - being in the right place, at the right time. Even Michael Landon said if it wasn't for his good fortune he might still be a blue collar laborer.
What a beautiful story!..I never knew this about Michael Landon, but it shows that we can be flawed, but still set an example for our children about what to do or NOT to do. Thanks for uploading.
I had no idea of his life I just remember him in Bonanza. My Dad walked out because of my abusive Mother. Then my brother and I took our pjs to school, was my birthday we had had enough of her, we went to live at Grans where Dad was. My Mother used to say poisonous things about Dad, I have never been able to deal with my Mother and sounds terrible but she died and I’m glad that I never have to see her again. I struggle to forgive her and I’m in my 70s, the damage done by her to my life stills sometimes haunts me. I say to God help me to forgive her still hard. I feel for those whose life has been made upside down by a parent.
A GREAT movie to show us that people that hurt people, never understand what true love is. That is what God's Love is, true love. I forgive them for they know not what they are doing.
it hurts deeply when u dont have 1 loving parent my father never cared my mom thought as long as i had food and shelter she was a good mom never felt loved still waiting i thank god i am a loving mom to my son and neice no thanks to my mother i thank my heavenly father made me the loving person i am i give jesus all the credit definetly not my parents if i died tommrow i know my son and my neice know how much i loved them and what they mean to me they are my world love them both with all my heart ❤❤❤❤❤💜💜💜💜🥰🥰🥰
You are so right. How can you prevent yourself from hurting others when you haven't learned it with yourself? One cannot give more than one has, and one cannot have what one hasn't received!
From the very first time I saw Michael Landon in the 60’s as Little Joe in Bonanza, Charles Ingalls in Little House on the Prairie ans Highway to Heaven, I had always wanted him to be my dad. For me he seemed to be a loving, kind, caring and supportive man. Something my own father never was. Thank you Michael Landon Jr for sharing your story.
The movie just starting and it took me back in time to when my four kids were young. Running to the door yelling, "Daddy's home" , so happy and thrilled. They didn't have too many of those as most always when he left work it was to go to the bar.
Parents come with emotional baggage. One of the hardest lessons children learn while experiencing growing pains, is that all human beings are flawed; including parents.
I remember when Michael Landon died. I thought well he was old anyways. With the 50th anniversary of LHotP being this year, I started looking facts up. I was shocked to see Michael Landon was only 54 years old when he died. I’m 55 now. My uncle died of pancreatic cancer last year. How awful it is to know Michael Landon suffered the same illness at such a young age.
Wonderful emotional roller coaster tear jerker movie. I was brought up with Michael Landon on my T.V . To watch this brings back good memories. And to see from a child's perspective how hurtful adults can be.
Yes, they can be. Michael Landom was handsome, extroverted with a winning personality rich & talented. All the qualities that are so common for narcissists.
It's a shame that Michael Landon died from pancreatic cancer and one of the symptoms was the loss of appetite and when he was doing.. Little House.. he was eating in the scenes alot but when he was doing Highway to Heavy.. he played an angel on probation and I noticed that he hardly ever ate anything on the show and maybe that's when he started to show symptoms of his illness because he finally announced to the world about it.. unfortunately he died from pancreatic cancer.. he will be greatly missed.. R I P Michael Landon...
I agree! All this trash talk about him is immature, unrealistic and cruel. He never said he was perfect but quite the opposite in his interviews. This is a movie based on one family member's opinion after the fact. He worked with his father for five years as a camera man, and in an interview after his father died, he said he was the best boss anyone could have. All his friends who saw Mr. Landon with his children and beard him speaks of his children, say the complete opposite of what this small sliver of a movie, based on one son's opinion. A wannabe director who apparently couldn't find anything else to write about and direct to kick off his own career!! I will always have respect for what Michael Landon accomplished in his short life, especially after his childhood. There are too many hypocrites here bashing a mere mortal who did care about his children and other people!!!! He even tried to keep his marriage strong and intact by taking them on locations with him. I say, Give over yourselves people!!! None of you can say you never hurt anyone and never sinned!!!
Adultery is more of a wound to the one who commits it, than to the one who suffers it. Michael carried that wound, a wound unknown to the third person in this triangle. Divorce is peace when there is no love anymore, no understanding, no hope. That children understand this will help greatly to their further lives!
Excellent movie. Michael Landon was one of my favorite actors. Our experiences throughout childhood impact our entire lives and the lives of those we interact with. It's so sad, but part of the human condition, that there isn't more compassion and empathy along the way, especially on the part of parents for their children.
John Schneider was wonderful as Michael Landon here. Great story of how to get through abandonment issues too. They'll eat you up if you dont learn to fix that.
There's what we do and there is who we are. "Be concerned about YOUR OWN salvation - the Bible reads - occupy yourself with it with fear and trembling." This movie touches my heart personally in various ways. I watched Michael's movies religiously as a child and a young person. I would like to say that I have been with more than one dying person, to understand that they have understood that love is more than words. You can't explain to people how much you love them, you can only wait for time to reveal this truth to them! With all due respect, don't allow religion to make you think that you are better because of what you've done or haven't. Pray that you may recognize love - wherever it is - and help those who need to be helped in whatever way you may. Great achievement! A real blessing to have seen the depths of Michael 's heart! Heaven awaits!!
Possibly the best scene in the movie is when Michael and Michael, Jr take a walk and Michael, Jr tells his father that he loves him. I can't imagine what that was like for Michael, Jr who was played by Michael Landon, Jr. This is a great film.
@@karm9852 ML Jr. tried to get his Dad, Michael Landon Sr., to give his heart to Jesus but from what I’ve read over the years, while ML Sr. liked what Jesus stood for but would not ask Jesus into his heart.
I'm sorry people, but no person that cheats on a spouse is a good person. I've been married over 40 years and never cheated on my spouse. Marriage is a sacred institution created by God Himself. Cheating has broken up so many families and destroyed many lives. Never should it be taken lightly.
I committed adultery. I cheated on my husband. There's no excuse and I take full responsibility. No I'm not a good person for committing that sin. But thanks to my Lord and Saviour...Jesus has forgiven me. He has redeemed my life. He has restored my life. I can be condemned all day long by people and Satan but God's Word says There's no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. I love Jesus and he loves me. I asked my former husband for forgiveness and also I forgave him for 28 years of mental...emotional..physical...and spiritual abuse.
Reminder: None of us are good. We fall short and nothing but filthy rags if we claim to believe in the Almighty. Thanks be to the LORD He forgives when we fall (sin) in any area - not everyone gets it right. 🙏
@@judysmith3249 Absolutely Judy. You repented and to God it is as if you never committed that sin. How we all need that mercy for what we have done as well. God bless you!!
Yes @Sharon Crawford, your point is well-taken and rarely spoken as it should be. If the adulterer is a very popular public person as in Bill Clinton for Democrats, Michael Landon of Little House fame or Charles AND Diana for RF fans, then all kinds of excuses are made for their behavior and lack of remorse for it. God’s laws are the same for us all.
This was so heart warming. I loved Michael Landon and except for the affairs, he was a great Dad. I expected the movie would put him in a different light. 😊
Wow, that's awesome movie, I'm quite emotional when Michael ' s parents got separated, and at the end they realize something good. Must see and a lot of lesson learned about family value. Thank you F4U. More movies like this.
Michael Landon Jr. Your story is filled with redemption. May God’s healing touch be upon your life. -And upon all the children Fathered by an unusual man.
What an awesome movie. Wow! Thank you for sharing it with us...I did research on how true the movie is regarding what Michael Landon's son wrote, and it is a true story.
God will never let us down, plus cancer is the bodies way of defending against abnormal body chemistry and I have found from personal experience it can be fixed with diet and lifestyle changes
Jesus is not G-d. That is idolatry. Jesus would not recognise the Roman religion built in his name. If you are inspired by jesus' words from Torah, oral and written, then that is from our Father, who he said to pray to for all life experiences, including refuah shlema (healing from heaven). Like Michael jnr depicts his Dad saying in this film, G-d is everywhere. Michael senior's Mom was cruel and his Dad absent or they were often arguing, or neighbors ostracising his family for being Jewish, looking for his satan horns!🤪 He realised that we see Hashem in a smile, in a loving act, in nature etc. We need to be like Abraham and turn from idol worshipping, be silent and listen to His still, quiet voice and accept His answers to our tears and successes. No man, including jesus can change us,only our submission to our Father creator's presence inside all of us,if only we acknowledge Him. That is how Jews have survived millenia of persecution including from the christian bigotry using the writings the Roman empire put together to salvage its control over Europe, and Middle east. As jesus is quoted saying, do not let religious people burden us with religious doctrine. He criticised dogma and controlling behavior of his reliigious leaders, not Torah observance. Paul made a different religion which is still used to judge others who do not agree or condemn them to hell.
It certainly takes it toll. The children don’t understand how their Parents grow apart not by choice. But you must still make time for them their future is growth. Don’t take your problems out on them. You made Life stand by them when they need you. Need you both. xxxx
Not buying the 'growing apart' excuse. It is by selfish choice that one or both parent/s decide to not stay in their marriage. The difficult part of doing anything, is not starting, but finishing it.
This film was really well done. John Schneider played the part of Michael Landon well. As a fan of Michael Landon since my youth, this was hard to watch. I understand well what childhood trauma can do. The crippling effect it has on the mind and heart. I'm happy his son overcame his hurt and trauma. Being a bit older when his dad left may have helped. However, his father was so young. It seems he spent his entire childhood feeling unloved, with many hurtful memories of being shamed and told hurtful things by his mother. Not just unloved, but feeling hated by your parent. How does one cope with and heal from that? He seemed to fill the tremendous void through the admiration of his fans, and women. How sad for his children. Though he did love them, he wasn't whole enough to put them first.
What I see in the movie is that Michael did put his children first. If one hasn't been in a similar situation, feelings and emotions draw you away from the main issue. As Michael said it, his problems were around money and his wife. Had his children not been first, he wouldn't have consecrated so much time and energy to be with them, laugh, share and enjoy with them. As I understand it, as they grew older, they decided - not Michael - to draw apart from him, if not only M. Jr.
What killed us most is how we think life should be . Letting go of a belief system that does not serve you happiness may be hard but it gets easier in time and you learn to adapt . We are are all broken in some way, but even broken crayons still colour. As we work through our lessons of life we learn from each other. Through pain we grow, we gain inner strength. Resentment, anger holds us back. Some things in life just have to be , for us to be .
We are drawn away on the wrong path by giving in to sinful lusts within us. The tenth commandment points us towards being content and thankful for what is ours. We should not want what belongs to others. Life is in reality not about our happiness, but about our holiness.
So sad to know that even if he had everything, a beautiful wife and children, he messed up. I felt for his wife and for the children as well. The children wanted the parents back together, but he wanted a different life.
How sad that the father seemed to downplay the emotional damage he caused by leaving the family for another woman. What a pathetic father. Feel so bad for the kids.
Morality, spiritual virtue, love, honoring vows...why we were given these few "rules"...so much pain when people let lust, gluttony and greed take over. They just do not see that it is weak and cowardly to give in to harmful behavior. I see the harm....and know it was selfish acts that caused so much pain for others...and...even premature deaths. I can forgive human fraility but can never forget the harmful actions.
The best part was when Michael Landon's son sought help and found God, then after that, he could forgive his dad. Michael always loved his son and that was a plus. When fathers go away, leaving behind kids with no regard whatsoever for them, it can get very tough for the forgotten children to go on with their lives, but somehow, if they seek God, they can always pull through... praise the Lord!
I had watched over half of this movie before I realize that it was the Michael Landon story.. I couldn’t believe John Snyder played him in this movie. It was a really good movie….
Attention all Mistresses: Karma comes full circle to give someone the feelings they once gave another. Either in suspicion or the betrayal…it doesn’t just provide a happily ever after.
I've always looked at Michael Landon as a saint, wished I hadn't watched this show, I sure don't feel the same, I've always had a crush on Little Joe, but if his son forgave him, I guess the world can, GOD bless his family he left behind!!! Rest in Peace Michael Landon!!!
I remember the day he passed I volunteered for the National Park Service and we rode our horses in the park next to his house to make sure nobody bothered the family. Yep he was just a man.
It is sad that someone who was such a wholesome figure in our lives was so troubled. I guess it shows that in all of us there is the good and the bad. Often those who portray to the public a certain image or lifestyle just can’t live it themselves. I grew up watching little Joe on Bonanza and then Little House on the Prairie. I had no idea the pain that was in the background. I’m so sorry for his family. And I’m also so sorry that the world lost this great talent before what should have been his time. I know what it feels like to share someone with the world. It is very difficult. I pray that God be with his ex wives and children and grandchildren and give them peace and help them to enjoy remembering the good times.
I think that Michael gave too much, not the other way around. And I understand that he believed with all of his heart that what he had not had as a child was possible if he fought for it. I think that it was that that he was doing. He believed it.
@@rio-impetuoso4271Michael Landon should have gotten help instead of going from one woman to another. There is not a single therapist of any caliber on earth who will tell you serial marriages will make you happy.
@@annemccarron2281 When we live, we live every single day and every single hour. To stay in a marriage for years can't be "going from woman to woman". Sadly, no counselor, pastor or wise man can tell any of us how to live our lives and we can only have a clue, living them. We can - and some should - seek not only counsel but also help, still, sometimes we have to be our best and give our best and maybe only God can understand it. The same equation does not work for everyone. 🎼🎷 Blessings.
A very good movie. Meaningful exploring the depth of human behaviour. My opinion however is that a family man must be loyal and committed to his family. Having just an affair is bad enough. But commitment to spouse and kids is the most important. Deeply moving. Thank you for this movie.
@While You Were Sleeping I think you misunderstood me, I'm quite sure by your response. What I shared does not negate your comment to me. Of course they choose to be faithful indeed.
@@maureencopeland5300 Only God knows the state of a man when he breathes his last breath. God is so merciful, that I believe He will appear again to His child in their last moments because He does not want any of His children to be separated from Him. We are all entitled to our own opinion. The greatest gift after Yeshua, is our free-will from God. Even God Himself will respect our decision, though it would break His heart if we didn't love Him and choose Him!
@@tshuvafertileground "if it's God's will for either spouse to be faithful and true". 🤨🤨. God has already expressed His views about loyalty. 1 Timothy 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. Malachi 2:16 “For the Lord, the God of Israel, saith that He hateth putting away; for one covereth violence with his garment,” saith the Lord of hosts. “Therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.” Exodus 20:14 “Thou shalt not commit adultery.” "God's will" does not change based on how weak one's self control and loyalty is.
i was watching little Joe in Banoza and i like the character but when i saw this movie i felt so sorry and sad for him and his family , his son made a good job , he is realy his father son .
Children love both of their parents and separations and divorces always damage them. Why can’t parents at least wait until the children are grown? While it might still hurt, I believe that it would lessen their children’s pain. Having an affair only shows selfishness on the parent’s part. Then the desertion part comes into play. Sometimes when parents get divorced, they also divorce their children too. Now that really hurts! The real question becomes, when and if the cheating spouse decides to marry the other cheater, will they ever trust each other? It’s called the broken-trust factor!
It also blows my mind how somehow cheaters are deceived into believing that they will be happy together; this while they had and will be causing such tremendous misery to many others. This can be explained spiritually in terms of being given over by God, to destructive thoughts and behaviour; this after not being thankful, and not glorifying, honoring and living in fear of Him, as Creator.
Can't be a father to two families......My husband came from a broken home. He tells me on occasion about things that happened growing up. He was 13. Some times I feel so sorry about how his childhood was. He got into drugs and alcohol for a few years. But he became a born again Christian at 23, and it saved his life. He's 64 now.
Opposite experience. My Dad left us early in my life...Thank God. It was fun after that in our house. My teen years were amazing. I never depended on my parents for happiness.
Feel sorry for the children who have to pay for their parents’ sins.Selfish people who only think of their happiness should not have children.I used to like ML but after watching this have to change my mind.Making so many loved ones unhappy is bad karma.
@@dilly1863 We are known by our fruit. It is not judging to observe the fruit - good or bad - that others are bearing openly. A good tree will not be bearing bad fruit.
@@viyannalangager4039 I agree with you there. A healthier family is a functional family. Better to see them separate happy than causing the entire family to be miserable.
I be always been a fan of Michael Landon. LHOP is my favorite show as I grew up on re runs. It's too bad that his life was dysfunctional off screen and that obviously traced back to his childhood. As someone who has been in counseling for a few years now, I ve learned a few things. Whatever dysfunction/ past pains you don't deal with will eventually manifest in your behaviors/ emotions etc. Dysfunction just repeats generation after generation until someone decides to break the cycle and deal. Michael Landon obviously had a scrappy childhood and that affected him as an adult and as a result affected his famiky. That s how the cycle goes. It s not an excuse for poor behavior, but it s important to look at the heart behind the behaviors and realize that person is probably wounded at their core and needs help.
if a man pursues a woman outside of his wife and marries her then the woman needs to realise that he will do it to her ... if he doesn't that gives cause to publish the successful marriage on front page news!!! Soon as a man tells you he is married or separated then wisdom dictates that the woman should run (vice versa too).
Yes, indeed... God hates divorce for good reason: It destroys marriage partners, their children and society - on so many levels. As it is written in Ecclesiastes 7:26... Entering into an adulterous relationship certainly does not bring happiness, but is worse than death.
Michael Landon was one of the greatest actors. He gave so much in each performance we love the star and the image but he was human too. Rest in Peace Michael. 🙏 🙏🙏🙏🙏🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
What a great movie! Glad to see the son ultimately forgave and I hope he continues to be a better dad. I wonder how the rest of the family is doing. If only we could see the consequences of our decisions at the time of making them, we would probably make other choices. When all is said and done, life has choices and everyone makes their own. Any day is a new day to make a different choice.
It is very much a matter of strength rather than choices. In order not to drown you must either not be there or swim good enough and be strong enough. Michael had wounds of his own and his family - with due respect - could not listen. He says it at least twice in the movie. He tried to transmit positivity through T. V. and continued to believe in good, in spite of his own struggles. How can anyone help others who depend on them to be happy, when they - those others - are hurting that someone? In my eyes, Michael had no choice but to divorce.
Beautifully written. Beautiful story of love and redemption. Michael Landon Junior wrote a powerful tribute about his life with his father. A father that the world saw as a TV Star but he was a mortal man and a wonderful father to his children. Thank you for this inspiring autobiography. Laura Ingalls herself had a miserable childhood. Everyone thinks that she lived the life that we see on The Little House On The Prairie. Not true. Both of these stories live in a parallel universe.
I guess that leaving your young children and wife who truly loved him for a younger woman would brand a man a 'wonderful' father. What planet do you come from?
@@dikisinger5585 Yes, this certainly is a contradiction. A man can believe he is truly loving his children, and be trying to do his best to provide for them, yet not give them the gift they need most: To be truly loving their mother, and laying down his life - especially for her - following the example of what Jesus Christ had done for us.
She was another victim of ML sr’s choices. He was like a father to her and she was with his family a lot off the set. After he left Lynn she didn’t speak to him for many years, until just before he died, they reconciled. I’m glad they had a chance to do that, like Michael Jr. but there were scars and pain she endured along with his other kids.
This is what happens when peple confuse the actor with the characters that they play. His "brand" was as the wholesome, Christian, family man. His reality was obviously quite different. I used to feel sorry for his wife but NOW I see that she did it to the first wife, and then seems shocked when he does it to her!
I watched with an open mind, and I can see why we have so many broken marriages and broken children, and that's why we have so many young people in trouble, when there is trust broken it can't be mended that easily 💔 even in little children, yes when I was a young child I liked Micheal Landon now all I see is trouble makers for the children and young people they think all they think about is Me myself and I selfishness never thinking of those that love them, This is the devils device.

Really? I'm NOT God ! I just pray my husband remembers that if he thinks about cheating on me!
Forget all that WWJD

Where the heck has he been with all this suffering, child sex trafficking and child sacrifice
Shame on him for not saving the children from hell
@cheesecakefan4880 you are blaming God for man

It seems rather that his natural state - all along - also during his real life - was acting.

I really liked this movie. It shows there all no fairy tales in real life. We all do the best we can with what we are given. It's a journey.
What a beautiful story!..I never knew this about Michael Landon, but it shows that we can be flawed, but still set an example for our children about what to do or NOT to do. Thanks for uploading.

I loved John Schneider on The Dukes of Hazzard.

I appreciate Micheal Landon and all the happiness his work has brought to the world. No one is perfect . ❤
This is such a beautiful and sad movie. I cried but loved it.

Life never goes exactly how we envision it. There are twists and turns, and sometimes the road comes to an end. This happened in Landon’s life.
YeS well balanced
What I see in the movie is that Michael did put his children first. If one hasn't been in a similar situation, feelings and emotions draw you away from the main issue. As Michael said it, his problems were around money and his wife. Had his children not been first, he wouldn't have consecrated so much time and energy to be with them, laugh, share and enjoy with them. As I understand it, as they grew older, they decided - not Michael - to draw apart from him, if not only M. Jr.
Yes, his son is to be admired. I did as he did, tried anything positive to get rid of the pain. I don't like being in pain!

27:29 Reminds me of how I felt at 50 . I still felt like a caring person but was getting hard to show it. I think its called depression.
Michael always loved his son? Hardly! He only loved himself.

Very insightful, moving and honest. May\be other facts or details might be missing but the heart of his story is impactful. Strong actors.

@@annemccarron2281 When we live, we live every single day and every single hour. To stay in a marriage for years can't be "going from woman to woman". Sadly, no counselor, pastor or wise man can tell any of us how to live our lives and we can only have a clue, living them.

They are so selfish.
We have no right to judge him. He is with God, who judges us.

We are known by our fruit. It is not judging to observe the fruit - good or bad - that others are bearing openly. A good tree will not be bearing bad fruit.
Much better parents separate than to remain in a miserable marriage.
@@viyannalangager4039 I agree with you there. A healthier family is a functional family. Better to see them separate happy than causing the entire family to be miserable.
@@dilly1863 are you kidding? Of course we do. Monstrous double standards are an outrage. Hypocrites everywhere.
Just remember..
Only Michael Landon Sr knows his own heart.
💯
Yes indeed. Laura had such a tough time.
I guess that leaving your young children and wife who truly loved him for a younger woman would brand a man a 'wonderful' father. What planet do you come from?

Yes, this certainly is a contradiction.
I mean Melissa Gilbert, not Laura Ingalls who both had difficult childhoods.
The movie is directed by Micheal landen as well. This is just beautiful ❤
This is what happens when peple confuse the actor with the characters that they play. His "brand" was as the wholesome, Christian, family man. His reality was obviously quite different.
I used to feel sorry for his wife but NOW I see that she did it to the first wife, and then seems shocked when he does it to her!
It's true, people worship actors too much
I loved this movie. Its about how dad impact the kid mental . Dad is my first love. Its true. Thanks michael jr. 🏆
I watched with an open mind, and I can see why we have so many broken marriages and broken children, and that's why we have so many young people in trouble, when there is trust broken it can't be mended that easily 💔 even in little children, yes when I was a young child I liked Micheal Landon now all I see is trouble makers for the children and young people they think all they think about is Me myself and I selfishness never thinking of those that love them,
This is the devils device.
Michael Landon has Always been one of my very favorite actors!! I Loved ," Little house " n Highway to Heaven ~ The Love He brought out in his shows! Every person has their own Story .... But I think he was an Amazing Actor n Producer ❤
Watched this movie n my heart goes out to all of his children..Michael truly loved his children,he worked so hard to provide n to be a good father..We all make decisions n choices that our children don't understand..Within time as they grow into adults..they understand more about life, choices that are made.I've been a fan of Michael Landon for years n still watch his shows (Little House On The Prairie)n Highway To Heaven.
Michael Landon has truly Blessed many lives;by his shows n the morals that are learned in his shows!!..I also want to Thank his family for allowing us(fans)to be a small part of his life.God Bless your family Michael Landon Jr.☺️
The best gift a father can give to his children, is to love their mother.
