And yes, this includes gas cans, ransacks, guns, bullets, weapons, facility mods, etc.

But, be aware, each one will get harder to destroy with more zombies (aka zeds) coming to defend them. I love this game but I get so overwhelmed with how much people need from you, and how weak characters are in the beginning, I love the game tho, the feeling of losing someone i had from the beginning was painful, but i learned from it.

To be fair, at least in runs where you went through the tutorial, your group is a bit "special" in that your group is one of the first to even know about and how to produce a cure for the Blood Plague. Also, certain enclaves are better than others. The "Soldiers" for instance will be far better in a fight than one of the "Pathetic Survivors" enclaves. Keep in mind, you are under no obligation to help other Enclaves, you can just ignore them and still survive just fine, the benefits they offer are, for the most part luxuries that are not necessary to survive. Hell, you could even go around threatening Enclaves to turn them hostile and then kill them in order to loot their corpses (just be careful about doing this on higher difficulties, as hostile survivors on higher difficulties can, and will, one-shot your survivors with a headshot if given a chance, in which case it's better to wait for them to get a mission where they ask for help because they are being overrun by zombies, and if you do that mission, those survivors will all die and turn into zombies themselves, allowing you to loot their corpses once you kill the zombified survivors).
My pc is over 3 years old and for the hell of it I downloaded this on my pc after purchasing it for xbox and to my surprise everything was set on high as default and a smooth 60fps with no drops. I have a gtx 970 and i7 4770k. My point is you can build a cheap gaming pc and play a lot more than strategy games. I now prefer to play decay on my pc over my X. Looks great on X but once again another game launches without the 60fps. I will never understand why they choose 4k 30 over 1080 60.

Two bloated zeds can kill any character fast in under a minute if they explode next to your players. Y'all keep that in mind and stay away from them. One quick way to kill them is throw a motorcocktail on them or head shot.

Glitches I like to exploit: I put rucksacks of resources in trunks of cars for safe keeping around perimeter of bases, they seem to never despawn. Park cars and trucks to block entryways, or make a serpentine to make it harder for zeds to get inside as fast, especially juggernauts and bloaters, the vehicles provide extra stand off distance so you can take them on without being overrun on all sides, it also helps keep your unarmed survivors from recklessly trying to run out and fistfight every zed and get hurt or killed. Just my .02 I am very new to game.

Luna Valeska its not so much about wrecking zombies with a crazy arsenal as it's about thriving and surviving the zombie apocalypse. much more unique compared to most zombie games in that way. it is an amazing game but I wouldn't want people going out and getting the game expecting one thing and its something a little different

I don't have one thing clear. What is the meaning of having the energy and water to a structure? They work anyway even without these... So why in the status you can see that they have water or not, and same for energy? If they are not necessary... (I just noticed mood with light is increasing, but not the functionality of the building)
I honestly have to thank you. They did such a terrible job with the tutorial and this games mechanics that I don't know if Ill go back and play it but this tut helped me out. The game is just a horrific mess of awkward controls and bad game design. It feels nothing like the first one. Who uses the LB to sprint? Oh and that jumping animation... Was the gravitational pull of the earth increased cause characters can only jump 2 inches off the ground. Glad it's free cause I would be angry if I had paid for it.

If your character is about to die during a battle, be aware that even if you turn off the game, they will still die when you turn it back on. So, keep your characters safe and healthy.

I hate exploding vehicles in video games. It's already proved that in real life your vehicle will not explode even if you shoot it directly at the fuel tank. Of course explosions can happen but it's so unlikely, no matter how much damage you do to it.

I really love these survival games but I really love a zombie survival game in a CITY. Days gone, This, and DayZ all have wide open areas. Just imagine an I am Legend kind of scenario going inside malls, building etc. Yeah I know Dead rising but... I want something more realistic. Like a last of Us open world but just after a few weeks of outbreak. Lot of zombies, lot of loot left in groceries, shops etc, and in a freakin' city.
101Bancho if you think about it a city is the last place you want to be in the zombie apocalypse. too high of a concentration of people. everything would be looted already and the sheer number of undead assholes would pretty much ensure your death by day 3

Hmm I think it would be good for a zombie shooter. More of a FPS action style, I don't know if it would work as well in a SOD survival sim type game. I don't really like left 4 dead or dead rising type games or zombie shooters in general. I do love SOD though. Its just the kind of game I'm into. I think a couple weeks after the outbreak maybe even months after there would still be millions of zombies in big crowded cities. remember they don't need anything to survive so unless the military bombed out the city to cut back the number of them, there'd be too many to try and set up camp in a city
This game is a little confusing. I bought it because I saw it and it looked fun. Never played the first one either. However, a lot of stuff goes unexplained in the actual game and I’m left to figure it all out on my own which isn’t a problem, but a little in game tutorial would help out a lot. This video made life a little bit easier.

Is there any way to swap out what’s in your pockets for quick use? The only way I see to do it is to drop everything and then pick up what you want for quick use (pockets)first. Not ideal.

So I am having a good time with the game but for the life of me I cannot seem to keep the people at my base happy. I have an issue with bag space and it seems like I am constantly having to go back to base just to clear my bags. Its starting to feel more like a chore and I am hoping its just my play style. If you could fast travel to your base this game would be perfect. As it stands right now its a little more hardcore than I anticipated. I am going to start over and give it one more go.
I pick up backpacking for the +1 slot, and am now disciplined with what I take. You can't take everything! Only specific loot runs for what you need. I think it's quite balanced. The zombie fighting seems either too easy, unless you're fighting 15+ plague zombies and a freak shows up. But that adds to the suspense when you're almost dead in combat :D
+Seneca yamma taking stuff out the supply locker doesn't effect anything like it effected the last state of decay it took your influence doesn't do it on number 2 and it doesn't effect you or your base.
I know right, I kind of liked the idea of it costing influence. I feel the game is a little easy so far. Played maybe 15 hours, no deaths or troubles yet :)

I’ve lost one of my characters who was a Hero so the morale plummeted at the base😩.Will it get back to normal in time or should I start a fresh game? The base is fully stocked with goodies too lol.
Best way is to make everyone a hero. The more heroes, the stronger everyone is even if one dies. But keep all alive. Once the character dies, you never see them again at all.
How do you level up your farming skill or is it only with books? How do you make repair kits when your skill is to low to make them? Anyone else have a problem where you get sent on a mission on the other side of the map and you need to blindly drive through infected areas only to have your vehicle explode because you ran over too many zombies so now you have to run all the way back? Or was this just me.

For me growing food was one of first thing I did. It was critical.
if you go back to where your first car was, there's like 2 or 3 ruck sacks of food. great haul for the beginning of the game.

Keep in mind when in a multiplayer session peopel can steak things oit of your cars so if you use cars for stoage just dont use the storage crate.

With either water or power, that makes using the facilities easier to perform certain things that normally require them. So, having them is good.

I don't really like left 4 dead or dead rising type games or zombie shooters in general. I do love SOD though. Its just the kind of game I'm into. I think a couple weeks after the outbreak maybe even months after there would still be millions of zombies in big crowded cities. remember they don't need anything to survive so unless the military bombed out the city to cut back the number of them, there'd be too many to try and set up camp in a city

This game is a little confusing. I bought it because I saw it and it looked fun. Never played the first one either. However, a lot of stuff goes unexplained in the actual game and I’m left to figure it all out on my own which isn’t a problem, but a little in game tutorial would help out a lot. This video made life a little bit easier.

This game was more complicated than I ever thought. It’s like a real time strategy game, only with a third person pov.
It's ok. I'm just glad I can get it through gamepass and not pay for full price. It's good but a lot of the same stuff as the last with a few gameplay improvements. Nothing crazy except for Co-op which should have been in the first one . Thanks for the vid. ✌🏾

Is there any way to swap out what’s in your pockets for quick use? The only way I see to do it is to drop everything and then pick up what you want for quick use (pockets)first. Not ideal.

So I am having a good time with the game but for the life of me I cannot seem to keep the people at my base happy. I have an issue with bag space and it seems like I am constantly having to go back to base just to clear my bags. Its starting to feel more like a chore and I am hoping its just my play style. If you could fast travel to your base this game would be perfect. As it stands right now its a little more hardcore than I anticipated. I am going to start over and give it one more go.
I pick up backpacking for the +1 slot, and am now disciplined with what I take. You can't take everything! Only specific loot runs for what you need. I think it's quite balanced. The zombie fighting seems either too easy, unless you're fighting 15+ plague zombies and a freak shows up. But that adds to the suspense when you're almost dead in combat :D
+Seneca yamma taking stuff out the supply locker doesn't effect anything like it effected the last state of decay it took your influence doesn't do it on number 2 and it doesn't effect you or your base.
I know right, I kind of liked the idea of it costing influence. I feel the game is a little easy so far. Played maybe 15 hours, no deaths or troubles yet :)
I'm a pretty good player though, very safe & combat experienced hehe :D

I’ve lost one of my characters who was a Hero so the morale plummeted at the base😩.Will it get back to normal in time or should I start a fresh game? The base is fully stocked with goodies too lol.
Best way is to make everyone a hero. The more heroes, the stronger everyone is even if one dies. But keep all alive. Once the character dies, you never see them again at all.
How do you level up your farming skill or is it only with books? How do you make repair kits when your skill is to low to make them? Anyone else have a problem where you get sent on a mission on the other side of the map and you need to blindly drive through infected areas only to have your vehicle explode because you ran over too many zombies so now you have to run all the way back? Or was this just me.
