Hello, a pleasure to greet you. I have seen many videos about the Arranger Event Ketron. I have the excellent 76-key one. I have a question, sorry. I wanted to know how to record in a DAW. From the Event Ketron Multitracks, that is, for example, a ballad Styles but that styles or rhythm is recorded by separate multitrack tracks. Best way is to use Audio because most of the Style tracks are audio and therefore cannot be captured by Midi. So you would connect the left & right outputs and headphone/aux (if you want to use additional tracks and go faster), to your DAW. Then manually record each style parts. You will have to repeat this unil all tracks are recorded. The EVENT does not send out audio over USB!

Great video. Could you also make a video about how to change/edit an existing style. Lets say you want to change voice 1, voice 2 and lower 1 on a exicting style, and how do you save the new style. Thanks
The style does not save voice 1 and 2. You would need to save as a REGISTRATION. The style only saves voices allocated to the variation buttons (VOICE TO ABCD).

@@AjamSonic Hi - i want to change from Yamaha arranger to Ketron but I am so concerned that I will have hard time to create my own styles because I often don’t use the internal styles that come with the keyboard. I have been using Yamaha Tyros and Genos. Yamaha people have so many tutorial videos how to create styles, with just one tutorial video will not cover all areas how how to create styles. I think if you have more style creation videos will attract more subscribers to the channel.

😳😳😳😯😯😯🤔🤔🤔 Is it possible to create styles step by step like Roland G70 V3 which has also upper 1, 2 and 3, layer 1 and 2. This keyboard I bought it since nearly 20 years ago And till now I could not find similar.
Nice start on style creation. I didn’t realize there were so many variables. In the video the RH voice overpowers in the mix. I have several questions: Can you copy from style to style? Can you extract a style from a MIDI file? Since there are so many different parts to a style can you copy intros, endings and fills from other styles to speed up the creative process? No doubt this is a real beast of a keyboard but is the synthesis engine powerful enough to tweak synthesis parameters? I look forward for the next tutorial. Thanks for your hard work!

Still wondering how to go about saving or converting the wave loops into ‘user drum sets’ to be later used in a new user styles. Also can we use the drum pattern in the wave loops into the user drum sets directly without having to record the pattern from scratch.
You cannot convert the wave loops into drums sets, but you can use them in other styles (Factory and User). To create User drum sets with your own individual waves (kick.wav, snare.wav …) you will have to use the SAMPER. Load and MAP these sounds in the sampler, then SAVE as a DRUM Set (USER). Now in the style (EDIT) you can select your new drum set.

Yes you can import your own Guitar or strings or voices or chicken sounds or ...any wave. And there is no "limit" - only the size of your SSD (which is currently 240GB - upgradable to 2T!!)
Is there a guitar mode or similar options to create guitar strumming on the ketron similar to korg arrangers. Also is there a note transposition table for style creation? Please advise
Even better. When you use the LIVE MODELING, you can select from many Live Guitar strumming/rhythem/solo-lead and other equivalent Audio parts. The difference here between this and any other keyboard is - since these were recorded Audio by actual musicians playing guitars (NOT MIDIGITARS BUT REAL ACCOUSTIC AND ELECTRIC GUITARS), each chord you play is slightly different (not transposed as is the case with the other midi arranger keyboards) and so you get a better HUMAN feel. Once you load, they are loaded into the internal partition of the drive you cannot access. What you can do is replace or delete them from the internal sampler.

Nice video. Question: Can we keep the record mode on and change chords 1-4 and or intros-endings, and also change channels/instruments, so basically creating the entire style in one recording shot? I have a Pa5x and it’s very annoying that I’m forced to stop recording for each single part of the style. I’m looking for something that allows me to create styles in a performance-like mode in which I hit recording once and keep adding elements to the style as I progress. If that is something the Event does, I will switch. Cheers
In the STYLE EDITOR, you can record up to 128 measures per variation (A-D) and also with Intro and Ending (1, 2 and 3). This means your song can be a maximum of 896 DISTICNT measures. Of course, you can record separately and then use as SONG MARKERS while performing live to extend this length. However, per your question, if your song is only 128 measures long, then yes, you can record the entire song (with chord structure) into e.g. Arranger A and be done. Now, with the SD9/SD90, the LaunchPad does EXACTLY what you are asking above because it works like a STYLE EDITOR and

The functionality is well explained in your video and it’s quite impressive what we can do with it. But here is the little detail I’m looking for: In your video, when you started recording variation A, for example, you always stopped recording before changing to another variation. My question is this: Are we required to stop recording to change to another variation or channel/instrument? Exemple: Suppose I start recording variation A of drums. Can I simply switch to recording variation B without having to hit the stop button, switch to B and hit record button again? My question is about the workflow. I want to know if the instrument allows me to create an entire style in a single recording button press, without having to stop recording to switch variations and instruments. This may sound like a silly question, but my Pa5X simply can’t do it and this is my greatest disappointment with the instrument and I want to switch to an instrument that allows me to do that.
@@CoderCoronet the only arranger I know that does that in my acknowledge is Yamaha Genos, you can create the whole song , including going from A to B C and D without stopping but that doesn’t bother me because I still like to stop and try the sounds before I continue. I owned Genos before but I sold it to move to KETRON. I was a little bit skeptic because I was used to Yamaha But I didn’t regret it, I love the sound and ease of use of KETRON. Because recording drums from scratch could be quite frustrating, Is it possible to copy from a factory style a basic drum and then edit to add more kits?
Connect a USB printer cable between your AUDYA 5 and computer, Then drag and drop the files from your computer/USB stick to the internal hard drive of the AUDYA 5.
@@AjamSonic What are the usual causes of an audya cutting out of power? I changed power leads and even went to another house to plug it in. It seemed to last longer (35 minutes) before it cut out with the new lead. It doesn't feel like it's getting hot either. Any views?? Thanks!
You're right. This is the same reason why many choose Toyota over BMW … simpler, easier to use; however BMW has it's place for this looking for a little more, just like EVENT.

Yes. Using STYLE EDITOR on the keyboard (but you can only edit midi drums, not audio live drums which would require a DAW).

Is Ketron Event backwards compatible with Audya styles?
Not really ... just about 75%
