Great demo about EVM My question is Having a Genos 1 does Genos and EVM can synchronise styles and with a Genos style I can change sounds style Genos with the sounds of EVM? E.G. Simple balade style of Genos drums sounds line can be played with EVM iso Genos sounds ? Thank you so much for your answer 👍👍
Great Job Ketron, Kudos for your innovation, and thanks a lot AJ for presenting this product. You never mentioned that, so I'll ask - and if its impossible right now, it could be a great idea to improve this product in future. So, my question is, whether its possible to set up a midi keyboard in a way that it will be able to send midi commands for fills, variation changes, registration selection, etc. to EVM / and event to Event X (assuming that the midi keyboard has the buttons)? The same goes for sliders and even an integration with equipment like korg nano pads... I think this would solve the "drawback" of not having a tactile feeling of pressing the actual button... Thank you
Yes. Must be a midi keyboard controller that can transmit Midi SysEx messages (usally found in high end Midi controllers and not many Arrager keyboards). This way, you simply put in the appropriate SysEx code (found at the end of teh EVENT Technical specs table) for start/stop, fill, break etc and trigger/control the entire EVM from your Midi controller.
Greetings. Ofcourse it will come to the UK. Check with the UK distributor. We also have some UK customers who would rather purchase from us due to the product and after-sales support we offer to all our customers, national and international.
Yes - with any Midi controller keybaord that has the capability to transmit Midy SysEx messages (usually NOT found in arranger keyboards but top of the line Midi controllers).
No. The only feature the EVENT shares with the LOUNGE is the STEM and PLAYER features. The Lounge is a player (no styles); the EVENT Is both a player and arranger (with styles).
This isn't really a tablet holder. This is a camera stand (bottom part) rigged to fit on a portable monitor stand (comes with monitors, touch screens etc). This way, I can adjust both hight and tilt. Preety cool, right? You can also just buy a sheet music rack like this on Amazon (make sure it has holds in the back for ventilation):- www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-Professional-Folding-Orchestra-Sheet/dp/B07WVVXXVX/ref=sr_1_1_ffob_sspa?crid=301Q9T7Q0YKP6&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.WOi-szGLYHDxDvWaRtvNfLnInPGW8s_uVDt9Pv8Xzyr9hH7u3fk7wvuAB8pOVuR-O0cLr2k8lXXs5iEQnO2aPC23_dU4K50bYAxjr20aqsZf3Ek-ogtVqa0CkDOcTwhnjdei2JZscV0LvSA1rZYZnMGRwZOnbwvd9FLgZeu6Rjs-pUE05h8CsL04tI5OCSsSvWUgdWClI2fZ3qDG1BqzzIGF0PupxewFeQsPUAMlxrw9H3sWkTAvigBmS0tc2iHWWBBuF4jAu35sWqPVkTHclj5eFB5BLsiJaqj3IYRwaNc.FHlXkOnzOychGSUagK1-1bCeqKYhnYEn_d0-WpN15qg&dib_tag=se&keywords=sheet+music+stand&qid=1729535090&sprefix=Sheet+music%2Caps%2C135&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1
You can with high-end Midi controllers that have SysEX. This way, you use SysEX codes to map out the buttons on your midi controller to the buttons on the EVM. Best combination.
@@AjamSonic does it mean the EVM can only be controlled with pedals that use SysEx? I bought my EVM. it will get here in some days, but I expect to use pedals such as FCB1010 or my Nektar Pacer to control it the same way as I control the Pa5X. The Pa has a table of midi messages for the purpose in its manual. Does the EVM offer similar functionality?
@@AjamSonic I did view that video but on the KVM (not the event-x , my mistake) the registration has a lock symbol aginst it and does not respond to a press to go to any sub menu. PS I do like your presentations.
If you want to create Sub Registrations (that is registrations/song parts within the main registration), then you would have to create these on your computer/PC (INTRO, BRIDGE, VERSE ...etc).
Hello Ajam. So, my EVM was not sending clock out no matter what I did. I thought it could be the case that my EVM OS should be updated. I checked the version and saw it was V1.2. I went to the website and could find no OS downloads specific to the EVM. Then I remembered this video in which we have you saying that the EVM is the same as the Event, just in a different form factory, so I thought that all the available OS updates for the Event would work just fine for my EVM. So I updated the OS all the way up to V3.0. In between one OS update and other, I decided to test the EVM to see if the newer OS version had the midi clock issue fixed, and I noticed V1.3 had it working fine and I could see clock being sent to my midi interface. I decided to continue the upgrade up to V3.0. When I finished, I decided to test the EVM just to see that the device is completely in silence. It emmits no sounds anymore. I can see activity in the UI when I start the styles, but can hear nothing. I tried to check for volume adjustments, but could not find anything that solves the problem. Also, the front panel lights are dead and the beep sound emmited when we turn the device on and off is gone too. On version 3.0 the clock send is not working either. So... I guess I screwed up, right? Is there a way to revert what I've done? Is there a factory reset option on the device?
@@AjamSonic thanks Ajam. It’s resolved now, but just for the sake of information, there is no Reset to do. Ketron support sent me a new update file that I had to install over the V3.0. That resolved the problems I caused with the updates, but did not resolve the midi clock problem, which is a real bug, because the support sent me yet another update that solved the clock problem.
I see you finally got this resolved. Yes, even though the EVM is similar to all the other EVENT units in the series, they have different OSs due to their slight differences (panels, screens, button layout etc).
You say this has 4 arrangers but this is wrong. When you press one of the arranger buttons all you are doing is moving to a different style marker which is embedded with that style. If it had more than one arranger you would be able to add different styles to A B C or D which you can’t do with this
This is based on how you use TERMINOLOGY as different brands use different terminology to express different features. In KETRON, Arranger is refering to the main style components (Variation as called by other brands). The Ketron EVENT series has 4 physical Arranger/Variation buttons but can actuall handle 8 Arrangements/Variations of a style. So a style is made up of 3 intros, 3 endings, 4-8 variations, 4 fill ins and 4 breaks, that is 18-22 different style parts (or markers within the midifile used to create a style). By pressing any of these "18-22" buttons on the panel you automatically jump to these dedicated marker points of the midifile used to create the style. Hope this explains it better. Most Arranger keyboards have 18 'markers' to denote the 18 style parts; EVENT (and SD9Pro) series can go up to 22 marker/points.
And this is why many international customers even in Italy (where they are made) purchase from KETRON USA, becase we offer great product support before and after sales. With KETRON USA, it is about satisfaction, not price and so we have the best deals (price plus product support). What questions did you have about the SD1? We can help. Thanks. AJ
