Thanks for posting this topic, That is so true of what Guro Danny Insoanto said about those who used it during WWII . My father and uncles were one of those who were in guerilla groups back then who have fought side by side with our allies and lived to tell their story. Very true indeed.
I had the honor to train at Guro Dans school this past Jan. It was awesome. Guro Dan was always willing to answer questions. I wish someone Near Willis TX taught his system.
Thank you Mang Dan for mentioning my instructor, "Arnis Supreme Master" Sam Tendencia. He also mentioned you and Lolo Jack often. You are right Master Sam was the real deal...Respects to you all.
hey, the one-o-worst, bichin' buzzards! wouldn't it be cool to go back there to teach some practical K-bar moves; BTW, i think it was westmoreland who conceived & started, 101Recondo school, then 82d, then the incomparable MAC/V Recondo schools, & it doesn't stand for RECONnaissance-commanDO, but WW1 vet westy was a DOughboy, thus recon-doughboy (recon-trenchgrunt) was his anachronistic idea; how about 101st w/ Barongs...
Great man. Much respect
